Shout out to my service advisor Nick who assisted me today. I bought my car new at this dealership a few years ago (great experience) and came in today to get new tires. I had requested to keep one of my old ones b/c they still had pretty good tread on them as a “just in case”. I got ready to leave and he said he wanted to double check that they had put my tire in the trunk and they had not. He went and got one for me and put it in my trunk. LOVE my new tires. Nick was friendly, funny, informative, and gave great detail to customer service. Job well done Sir! Wish there were more people like you who knows the meaning of good customer service!

We had a wonderful saleman who stood by his word and made it possible to buy a truck and stay within our budget.

I would caution you not to purchase from Mt.Airy Toyota my experience has not been a good one and has cost me money that I shouldn’t have had to pay.
First of all they force you to buy things that aren’t included in the price that they say has already been added to the cars price. We had to pay 1,6000.00 for a blink light bulb that flashes when u apply your breaks and low jack subscription that only last for 1 yr. I did not want this and I told them that but they insisted we had to pay it. I was under the assumption that it was included in the price that’s what I was lead to believe since they had already put it on the vehicle come to find out after it was too late that it was a charge on top of the cost of the vehicle.
My next issue is we told them to transfer our tags they didn’t do that they had new tags sent to us which cost us that much more money.
I have tried to call management and left messages with the managers and asked to speak with the owner but no one has contacted me back. If you do not want to be had go somewhere else and be a lot more careful than we were. I will never purchase from them again. Hope this warns you to be more conscious of what they trick u into buying to make more off of your hard earned money.

First and foremost I give all glory and honor to God, my Lord and Savior. Second, I give amazing credit to Todd, Rick, and Richard. These three men help me from start to finish. When I pulled on the lot I was greeted with a smile and a handshake from Rick. I told Rick what I was looking for, Rick took me right to the car I was interested in and he went and got a plate we test drove it. I had that car everywhere I was driving the car like it was already mine. He told me everything about the car he told me so much I said look Rick I'll be back because I know I'm going to have questions. He had patience with me and trust me I'm a lot to deal with. Todd who was over Finance worked a deal out with me got me a reasonable payment on the car and Richard was amazing with the paperwork. From the beginning to the end I was beyond please with the whole process. Everything was just RIGHT. The right time, the right people, the right place, the right situation and it all worked out. I drove off the lot in a brand new 2025 Toyota. If you are looking for a new car especially new Toyota; I highly recommend going to this dealership.

Went to purchase a 2019 Nissan rogue for my sister came in was told she needed to bring her bank statements and proof of income so we set up an appointment to come the very next day before 12. We went and got the information but before we got there at 12, we were called and told the car had been sold out from Andress. No explanation no apology. The owner of the company called and he Assured us there will be a replacement there the following Monday that would be as good or better than the car. She tried to get. Two weeks rollaround and absolutely nothing was done so I went to pick up the paperwork to be told that we weren’t even approved for credit. We’ve been told five different stories by so many people at this organization just shows how incompetent and unprofessional. The only reason we came here I had bought a car from here and paid cash and my sister-in-law had bought two we thought it was a good dealership, but we found out the truth

I was just traveling through the area and had a problem with my wipers. I stopped in here and they jumped on it right away. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Thank you to Barry(?) for getting me back on the road so quickly.

Never again will I set foot in this dealership. They’ll be Johnny on the spot and return calls, be helpful, and act like they care. UNTIL you’ve bought something.

I traded in a car and three weeks after I did paperwork and picked up my new one, they STILL hadn’t paid my loan off. So, I called and left THREE messages for my salesman William. I texted him. I emailed him. He refused to call me back. Hell, he never even did ANY follow up to see how things were. So, I called and left TWO messages for their F&I guys. They refused to return my call as well.

We are now 5 weeks later and the loan still isn’t paid off. I finally got help from someone who says a check was sent “last week” but today the car still hasn’t been paid off. Why it would take them over a month to settle out a car deal baffles me.

I initially liked William and they were reasonably fair with my trade value, so I didn’t haggle and be difficult when working my deal. I was also told they “fully service their cars” before selling them. However, today I’m having to have the DSG service done, as that needs to happen every 40k miles. (I bought it at 39k and it should’ve already been done IMO.) So, I get to pay $435 to have that done. Plugs also need to be changed at 40k, so I’m having to do that as well.

My daughter and son in law need to replace both of their vehicles and I initially was going to have them go see William. Though, now that I’ve been ignored for a month I’ve told them to go elsewhere.

So, I won’t go back there as they’ve seriously soured my car buying experience.

EDIT: A paperwork mistake of theirs was the issue, and they did handle it and my traded in car is now showing as paid off. Kudos to them for taking ownership of the mistake and absorbing the costs. Still, the lack of communication was bothersome and only after this review went live did someone reach out. Had my salesman simply called me back or made the common “how are things?” after sale call this could’ve been resolved weeks ago.

TL;DR version: this was probably the best car buying experience I've ever had. I whole-heartedly recommend Mount Airy Toyota!

I just bought a 2021 Mazda CX-5 from Mount Airy Toyota. This was the best purchase experience I've had from a factory dealer. I'm not a typical car buyer. When I shop for a car, I have a long inspection checklist that includes pulling OBD info. My sales rep Matt gave me all the time I needed and was nearby to answer any questions. After the test drive, the price negotiation was fair and fast. I negotiate out-the-door prices on vehicles. Their full bill of sale has only minimal add-on charges, so it was very easy to get to a fair price. The business manager Richard didn't oversell the extended protection plan and accepted my "no" answer instead of trying to overcome it.

The prep team did an outstanding job detailing the vehicle. It looks as good as showroom new. While I was inspecting the car, the battery failed. Without missing a beat, Matt had the team install a new battery as well.

Exceeded our expectations on a necessary repair! No one WANTS to drop a large amount on an almost 20 year old vehicle, but sometimes you just have to. Our experience was GREAT starting with Ariel who answered our call and offered sound advice. Nick in the service department met us with confidence and complete communication throughout the process…even delivering our repair days AHEAD of schedule! This team earned our respect, for sure. Well done!

Fantastic car buying experience! The entire staff, from Beth and Cindy in online sales, to Ashton in sales and Todd, the Sales Manager; even Richard in finance, who may have the hardest job… taking people’s money.
We made the short trip up to Mt. Airy Toyota with our dear aunt, who had more than a little trepidation about trading in her 17 year old Highlander. Ashton did a marvelous job of putting her at ease and answering every question we threw at her. The end result was a good trade-in valuation, the purchase of a brand new RAV4 at a very fair price with a sensible maintenance plan, also offered at a fair price. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Went in on one of coldest days of year. Salesman William Hurt was very patient and helpful. Test drove 3 different vehicals before deciding. After our hands thawed out we made our decision. William and the staff was excellent. Could not have had a better experience.

Once we purchased the car, Ashton sat with us in the car and walked through the technology. She went above and beyond sending us additional videos to better understand the new features. The car purchase was easy and seamless. Highly recommend.

Went today and had my 40,000 mile service the service person who checked me in Bo Sells comes in the waiting room and says my wipers needed to be changed i said no and he talked about my filters then I asked what it would cost to have my wipers changed he said to me and in front of my child it would be about 22 23 dollars with free installation I thought will that is not to bad and it would save me some time later when I went to pay it cost me 49 dollars and some change so Bo Sells straight up lied to me I asked the cashier how that was possible of course she knew nothing I hope whatever commission Bo Sells gets of those wipes does him no good you sir are a liar! Thanks for cheating me

I literally had the most pleasant and believe it or not the most fun experience buying my 2024 Rav 4 hybrid today. Todd and Jarred took were so nice and really made me feel comfortable. It felt more like friends hanging out than a car sale. As a woman it can be very intimidating to walk into a car dealership and expect the same treatment that a man would get but they treated me with respect and made me feel at ease about everything. Bought a full warranty 100,000 miles when I purchased my 2016 jeep Cherokee. Took it today to have the oil changed which was free with the warranty. Found out my warranty had been canceled I only have 78,000 miles on my jeep. I will never buy another warranty of any kind. My jeep was paid for along with the warranty when I purchased the car. Complete rip off at Patterson jeep on 52 north in mt.airy, nc

I visited the facility in early October and negotiated a price, confirmed by the sales associate, but I didn't purchase the vehicle. Two weeks later, I called back and asked if the same deal was available? The sales associate shared that he needed to check with management. Fair enough. I followed up multiple times with the sales associate weeks later because he didn't reconnect with me, only to find out that they wouldn't honor the offer made in person and the best deal they could do was $3K higher than the in person offer. No apology, no nothing, just management says this is the best we do... Not OK with me.

Worth the drive! I worked out a deal with Jarred over the phone and he held the car I wanted for me. He made car buying painless and worth the hour drive. There’s another Toyota dealership 10-minutes from my house, but their customer service is lacking.

We recently had the check engine light come on with our Highlander as we were driving from Pittsburgh. We stopped at the dealer to have it checked out. I was looking for a pre owned suv 4 cylinder. I met Brent right away. He showed me what they had and continued to text me every week until he found something I wanted. We made a deal and away I go I the perfect vehicle for me. A week later the engine light came on and there’s an issue with the catalytic converter. Now here’s the important part….. I didn’t get a warranty but they agreed to fix the problem ( parts and labor) FREE of charge. They could have said, sorry, that’s on you, but they stepped up and now I recommend these people to everyone. I love my Subaru Outback.

I recently had a problem with a differential fluid leak on my tacoma that was caused by another dealership out of state. The service manager Will Gaddy, worked with the other dealership to cover the cost of repairs to my truck. Mr Gaddy turned a difficult situation into a positive experience.

The perfect car for me was found a measly 12 hours away from my garage. Thanks to two awe-inspiring men, Anthony Turner and Josh Williamson, I was able to experience a smooth and fast process to obtain it.

Anthony was a happy-go-lucky salesman. Before my great adventure across the country. We had converse over phone on the details of the car and was able to come to an agreement. Extremely satisfied with how that went. Straight to the point and was able to work within my means.

I was a return customer because of Will Gatty and his service team at Mt Airy Toyota. The service team has taken excellent care of me and my girls for years! Mount Airy Toyota .... until last week, I had never heard of them. Now, I wish I never had. I have bought many vehicles over the years, new and used,and NEVER once paid full asking price for ANY of them. Rule number one of buying and selling used vehicles is (Leave room for negotiation). Now, I had been looking (off and on) for a specific vehicle, and low and behold, they happened to have EXACTLY what I had been looking for. I did some research and got the fair market value, trade in value, AND loan value of the car before I even considered it. The price was a bit high, especially for a used car, but I thought "OK, I will look at the car and negotiate a fair price for it". I could not be anymore wrong!!!! Now, I will have to say, the salesman, and everyone that I talked to WERE very nice and polite. However when it came time deal, it just went south from there. The car was priced almost $10,000 above trade in value, I know that all dealers sell for more that what they give for trade in, that's how they make money, but not by that much. After they gave me a reduced (bottom dollar price) it was STILL $8,000 above loan value. Meaning that NOBODY could borrow the money to buy it. I asked why they could not come any closer on the price and they swore to me that they had more than that in it. I DO NOT believe it. So, out of curiosity,I asked what they would give me trade in on the vehicle I was driving at the time. When they told me what they would give for it. I didn't know whether to laugh at him, or punch him. That right there proved to me how much they low-ball customers on trade in, and that there is no way they have that much in the car. If they do, they are crazy. I could be wrong but you will never convince me that they gave that much for it. After the ordeal that I have been through with this dealership, I have lost ALL faith in dealerships altogether. You can take it for what you want, but I would HIGHLY recommend NEVER doing business with these people.

They called me about my interest in one of their vehicles. Told them I could buy in about 3 weeks. Told me that if I gave them my card numbers they could hold it for me. They called later that day explaining that they would need 2K to hold it for that long even though I told them before that it would be 3 weeks before I could buy. Just another dealership trying to pull their scams. Reordering my card now but be cautious.

Best experience of car buying I’ve ever had. Jarrod in sales and Josh in finance were amazing to work with—first time ever to be told not to buy gap coverage because my insurance offers it and was lower cost. They definitely have a customer for life.
