Morton Buildings, Inc. - Murfreesboro, TN

There is a reason this place is rated low. After 4 months and a whole lot of frustration we are done. I just wanted to write this to save anyone else considering a building from here the headache and lost time we suffered.
I wont go into a lot of detail as I have no desire to waste another minute with this company than neccessary. However it started from the beginning with no call back and then every reply afterwards felt like I was being difficult (I sent an inquiry asking where we were at after 3 weeks when we were told expect 1 week)
Finally after doing that more than once (what can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment) we finally got an estimate for something I didnt recognize as the building we wanted built.
I even wrote corporate asking for another rep. Nothing.
Just turn around and save yourself the pain.

Oh... and save yourself the standard reply Morton. Obviously from the long list of negative reviews you don't care. And you never replied before why would I bother again.

I would like to comment on the job that this company did for me or the price competitiveness (or not as most of the reviews here say). However, I was unable to even get the local rep in Murfreesboro to call me back, respond to e-mails, or provide a quote. I was looking to deal with someone local, but I am done chasing someone to take my business and my money so I am not calling again. I will get someone else to build my building. Pretty sad considering the good reputation Morton Buildings had a few years ago.

This has been a bad experience. This is our second Morton build. The first one was in 2015. It was a very well built barn and home. We moved and decided to go with Morton again based on the impeccable job done the first build. This, a mistake. This crew was terrible. Terrible Forman and workers with no work ethic or skills in construction. Materials left uncovered and warped. The warped boards were used any way. The ladders are so twisted that dry wall can not be hung until lumber is shaved. Outside walls not plum. Corners not secured. And the list goes on. Would NOT recommend this company.

Unfortunately I have had the same experience as everyone else who has taken the time to leave their comments. I've messed around for two months hoping to do business with Morton Buildings of Murfreesboro. I did make one more call to the Corporate office to report my experience. Perhaps they need to pay more attention to whom they license territory.

I had to call on 3 separate occasions, left my contact information with the secretary and never got a call back. I then had to call another Morton building representative in Alabama and they were able to have the Murfreesboro location finally call me. The rep came out and I needed an insulation package for my existing building Morton building. Nice guy, but I had to chase him down after a week to get him to give me a quote. The quote was ridiculous in price and I asked for a reduced scope of work to get the price in a reasonable ball park. The rep assured me he would get back in touch with me. Never heard from him again. That was a month ago. I'm still waiting. Its simply too bad I can't use another Morton building company (Hanceville) in the neighboring state of Alabama, but they don't allow that. It appears the Murfreesboro location doesn't care about new customers.

As other reviews have shared, their communication and follow-up is absolutely horrible. Don't waste your time here. The buildings are marked-up at least 25% from all other companies. There are better built and cheaper products on the market.

When you ask them about the mark up they explain it's because they have such a good warranty. If their buildings are so well made, they wouldn't need such a mark-up for warranties. It'd be thrown in to the price without the added on prices.

Shop else where!

Waited for 10 days for a rep to call, had to get his number from the main office, appointment made for 10 days out and 10 minutes prior to meeting at an offsite location, I text to inform them I will be a few minutes late due to traffic and get a reply, had to go to job site can we meet at 10? The nice thing about the free market, I get to choose who gets my money. Keystone LLC or the Amish will gladly take my 6 figure account.
