MNRC - Omaha, NE

Mike Herbermann came to our porch this Saturday afternoon, while my significant other was during yard work, completely ignored him in the yard, walked up to the front porch stating “there’s no soliciting sign, are you the owner of the house?” And he explained we rented the house, INSISTED we let him on the roof of the house we own or to give him our landlord number for a “free inspection”. My significant other panicked of course (sales scheme) and allowed him to call our landlord. Apparently the phone call was short, and after he got off the phone with her he stated “that’s how all landlords are”. MNRC is not a trusted partner, they are aggressive, very invasive and extremely rude. I will now be purchasing a NO SOLICITING sign because of this occurrence. And also to note how awful of this company to bother people on a Saturday afternoon after a hail storm like we needed to be bothered anymore than we have? Do better MNRC.

DO NOT RECOMMEND MNRC (see photos, a small portion)

It is unfortunate that I am writing this...so many problems... damage to property, lack of attention to detail, communication, work quality, timeliness, trash, etc... I highly advise to check on the quality of work that they do. I will keep this short, but it will still be long. I felt like I was the QA/QC manager. We were affected by the 31July2024 wind storm that blew a lot of our shingles off the roof. The job was finally completed at the end of Jan2025, we assume? My insurance company left voice messages and we still haven't heard back to confirm. It is now 6Mar2025.

1. FREE PATCH: The initial free tarp job that was offered resulted in water leaking through the roof, attic and ceiling during/after the next rain. They redid the patch after that with different, better material. Now we stare at ceiling stains in our master bedroom every night.

2. INSURANCE: MNRC claimed that they would handle all communication with my insurance but that was not accurate. I had to get very involved. And, after insurance went through, MNRC submitted for supplemental costs for ice and water shield (which is fine) but again, I had to get involved with my insurance and it took even more time. It was a stressful hassle.

3. ROOF: The timeline to get the roofing crew to replace the roof was less than desirable after all insurance things went though. It ended up taking place during our vacation. Less stress if I am not there to watch, right? No, I came back home to a broken hose reel (small item and they replaced, ok) and over $2400 in new deck damages (scratches/gouges) ...not ok! I asked Preston (field rep) to make a note that our landscaping/deck/patio were all new and to please take extra care before we even signed! Did not happen at all...Which leads me to...

4. TRASH! I have worked on home exteriors, including roofs/etc in the past. The amount of trash was astounding. The photos are about 70% of what I found as of about the end of Dec2024. There was even more after the Jan2025 re-re-re fix of mistakes. I emailed photos, was told it would be handled and literally every time found trash all over (screws, nails, caps, metal, etc) including the driveway and street. I am still finding more...

5. GUTTER GUARDS: Even though it was communicated in text, on the phone, in person and in email, it took 3 times/re-installments of gutter guards for MNRC to get the color correct. WHAT?! We had black, they installed white twice on the front. The initial quality of work on the front was terrible, AND they forgot to do the back! Later, the initial work on the back was terrible! Even worse...a hack job. We now have a bunch of holes in the new corner metal of the roof/facia because they redid it so many times and didn't even use the same holes. They ignored my request to use rubber washers (like I had before) to use with the screws into the facia the whole time...just made new holes... Now, water will likely infiltrate and rot over time more quickly.

6. SPLASH GUARDS: It took 3 times/replacements to redo and replace mistakes and make 2 small, simple corner (FUNTIONAL) metal splash guards at the bottom of the metal garage valleys. It requires a 90 degree guard....

There is more...I'm exhausted just writing this. In conclusion, do not recommend. We are glad this is all over.

Been waiting since September to have the roof worked on, it's now NOV.

If I have ro wait til spring I'll go with another contractor.
They wanted me to sign paper work on line, I could not read the paper work. They need to come to my home in person and speak to me about my roof. Not in an email. Have had nothing but problems.
Bent, gutters, siding falling off the eves, leaving holes in the siding. Leaving their dirty hand prints all over the back of the house. The sub contractor was just terrible.Been waiting since September to have the roof worked on, it's now NOV.

MNRC did a great job replacing my roof and gutters. Carl and the Omaha branch team ensured that all installations met the city code. I am very happy with the results, and strongly recommend their business.

In the 35+ years we have owned our home and dealing with lots of contractors, MNRC is the best we have dealt with!! Gavin and Carl were awesome!! They inspected our roof and then worked with our insurance company to get the process going. The one thing that was very important to me was there was never a time that either Carl or Gavin or both were on site. The only problem was they couldn't control Mother Nature, but they controlled her the best they could and kept us in the loop every step of the way. End result is a beautiful roof and a very positive opinion of MNRC and we highly recommend them!!!
