I’m so grateful that we found MAV Environmental. We had a rough situation at our house with asbestos tile that was improperly and unsafely torn up by a carpet company. MAV came out immediately to give us a quote and got the tile tested and taken out within a couple of days. Someone from MAV even came out to our house late on a Friday to pick up a piece of the tile that we had left to get tested asap. They were extremely safe, professional, and communicative, sending real-time pictures of the various steps happening at our house throughout the job. Mike and his team are phenomenal. We appreciate them so much and highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of their services.

After buying an older home, I found out that some old tiles in my basement contained asbestos. I was referred to MAV Environmental Services by a friend and they came out the day of my call to look at my home. They provided me with an honest price and were quick to get me on the schedule; understanding the safety concerns I had. Mike and his team are punctual and completed the job within four hours. They left the space in much better condition than it was before they arrived. I am working with them for another residential project and I do not foresee myself ever using another company for asbestos abatement and construction services. 10/10 would recommend.

Hey there! I wanted to share my recent experience with a flooded basement. I initially hired a national company, but unfortunately, they weren't able to properly dry out my carpet even after several days. Feeling frustrated, I decided to give Mike at MAV Environmental a call after reading several positives reviews online. He responded quickly and even put together a team that same evening. They did an amazing job over the next few days, efficiently completing the remediation process and even helping with insurance claims. I was blown away by Mike and his team's professionalism and dedication. Looking back, I wish I had called them first. I highly recommend them!

Mike dropped everything to help me out with a main water pipe leak with asbestos insulation. They are fast, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.

Mike & his team are very efficient & do great work, helped me out when i was in a bind with a hot water heater! After hours & completely came thru for me !!! We wholeheartedly and without any reservations, recommend using MAV ES to anyone with damages from flooding due to internal plumbing problems and related mechanical, electrical and structural issues resulting there from. Mr. Vara and his various crews were instrumental in mitigating and correcting 3 different problems we experienced over 7 years. They responded the same day we called, in fact within hours and by doing so, saved our home and having to move elsewhere during their mitigation and reconstruction work. I had my pipes burst from my upstairs bathroom into my kitchen. Mike Vara, the owner MAV, was able to help us and thensome in a time of need. Mike answered all our questions, gave great adic ve, addressed our concerns, and promptly jumped on the situation in a time of need / crisis. His team was friendly, on-time, and did great work. I am beyond please. The cost was in line with the market.

MAV Environmental Services did a great job for us. We had a busted pipe from a upstairs bathroom into our kitchen. I am so grateful to MAV Environmental Services. They are an incredible group of workers. I hired them to repair the damage caused by a leak from the upstairs bathroom into our kitchen. From the moment I met with Mike Vara, the owner of MAV, I knew I had hired the right company to do the work. Mike stayed involved throughout the entire project. I trusted the team to come into my home while I was out of town to replace the kitchen ceiling. They also painted and replaced the wallpaper. They worked tirelessly, were professional and very trustworthy. They were respectful and friendly. They were very careful and protected the area thoroughly before each part of the job. They also cleaned up each day after they finished working.

Mav did an excellent job. They gave us a great price. They made sure they took care of everything that they found to be an issue. All within budget. I rarely write reviews, but after having Mike help me, I felt I needed to let everyone know how great he is. He is professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly- a stand up guy. If you need work done , it would be hard to find someone more capable or caring. I’d give ten stars if I could, and will be recommending him to all my friends and family.

Aside from being personable, owner Mike Vara was very good at keeping us in the loop about the progress of the work at our house. Our cramped, unventilated attic was full of a combination of vermiculite and mold, both of which MAV Environmental Services remediated quickly, safely, and successfully. They installed a solar attic fan to increase the ventilation and defer future mold flareups. Mike also accommodated our request for additional insulation to bring the thickness in line with current US Dept of Energy standards for Climate Zone 5.

Mike was extremely helpful, nice, available, and his workers were very respectful and worked hard (they did my roof in one day, on a very cold Saturday). I contacted Mike and Nicholas the following Sunday morning because I had some questions, both of them replied. Really, MAV is great !

Mike and team did a great job restoring our basement from a flood. It was tough times w Covid and they did a great job getting our basement back up and running again. They did the drywall repairs, doors and painting. Highly recommend. :)

Michael A. Varo (Owner) is a class act. I had a potentially significant problem that I was lucky enough to catch early. While there was some minor damage, but I needed some help deciding a path forward,..DIY vs. hiring a contractor,.. insurance implications, costs etc. After talking his own time to understand my situation we agreed that the best path forward for my problem was to do initial work myself, and then reach out for assistance if needed. He even provided coaching on how best to do the work. As it turned out I was able to do the work myself. How rare to find such integrity in today's profit driven world. I have no problem recommending MAV Environmental Services, based on this experience.

We met Mike and his crew about a year and a half ago. We have a cottage that needed foundation work. We were surprised how friendly everyone was. They made us feel like family. Because they did such a great job with our foundation, we had them paint the entire cottage, repair a roof leak, replace all of the doors and even remove a tree from the yard, plus many more things! Mike and his team are incredible. Always willing to come out in an instant and check on things for us. High-quality work, reliable, professional and courteous. They cleaned up a major flood in our basement, and have done several smaller projects that our house needed. We always think to call them first whenever there's an issue with the house, whether it's water-related or otherwise. If they can't do it, they always advise us about who to call.
