We had an awful situation with sewage overflows in our basement bathroom and out into the main area. Extensive damage. Twice within 10 days. Major insurance claim. After calling Select Restoration, they handled everything efficiently, professionally and generously. They were always available and always able to explain the process to us. I cannot recommend Select Restoration highly enough. The job finished on time and on budget. We are lucky we used them.

The whole crew that came out in the tearing down and building us a new garage was wonderful, from start to finish. They even worked in the cold winter days. We like our new garage! They cleaned up and took away the debris

We came home from vacation to find the waterline to our refrigerator had split. spraying water for 4-7 days. Water not only in kitchen and living room, but leaked into our finished basement. I called the insurance co. and they gave me 3 names. I picked one, Select restoration and never looked back. Mike was there with in short period of time, tearing out soggy carpet in the basement and easing our fears. Next morning the rest of the team was out assessing the damage. Deni, project manager, was on top of everything, almost every Monday, I had a call letting me what was going on. The project is complete and couldn't be happier...

Our insurance company gave us three choices to pick and we picked Select Restorations and are very happy that we did. We made the call and Mike came out the next day. Inspected our roof and we were told we had a lot of damage. Then they came back the next day with their drone and took pictures to send to the insurance company. We were approved and work began soon after. Select Restorations is an A+ company from Bryan the President to Mike, Deni and we must not forget Candace the office manager. She is so efficient and very pleasant to work with. The whole Select Team are an amazing group to work with. Took only 2 days to get the roof done. I can’t say enough about their cleanup process. It was incredible. There was nothing in my yard when the job was finished. What a professional group of guys. I would highly recommend Select Restorations for all your home needs and beyond. My job which was supposed to be done before my sons release from
Hospital. They were stapling the shingles as he was pulling in the driveway. 3 day job bs. Their trailer ( which needed to be retired many years ago) they left in my driveway 10 days. Secretary told me they don’t have “emergency “ removal. This is not a roll away dumpster. It was a 1970 piece of junk trailer in my driveway ( we have a wheelchair bound resident)left 10 days. The soffit they were supposed to six never was touched. Brian told me that I needed to remove my yelp. Never called to discuss issues.

WOW! Our expectations were exceeded!! Bryan, the owner came over immediately when the call came in. Him and his staff handled every detail...alleviating our fears and concerns. The work was done expeditiously and really well!

Crew showed up the same day I called and got there on time for ice dam removal on our roof.
We had pretty extensive ice damming for the first time in 7 winters. They quoted us a fair price and got the work done quickly.

Our dealings with Select Restoration after a horrific house fire was a positive experience. From day one, they worked with our insurance company, settled our claim and got to work. The restoration did slow down after the COVID shutdown for three months but things came to a beautiful ending, our home looks beautiful and would recommend this company.

Terrible company to work with. Many of the positive reviews seem fake.

They are constantly pushing back dates- read some of the other reviews. They legitimately threaten people for defamation just for posting honest reviews (lol) and threaten to trace their IP address and find out who they are- which is why I'm using an alias to post this review.

There are other, better companies available. I've thrown away tens of thousands of dollars because of them taking half a year for something that I was told would take a couple months. They are incredibly shady.

Take the negative reviews seriously- I wish I would have. Many of them have a common theme (unreliability, taking too long, being unresponsive, and being unprofessional).

My boyfriend contracted this company for work on his house and after 6 months it is still not finished. He has called, left voicemails and emailed multiple times with no response from the company. The company has went MIA for weeks on end without any explanation which has costed my boyfriend a small fortune and stress. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I'm so thankful I chose Select Restoration for do the water mitigation in my basement. The flooding was a result of a power failure causing sump pump to back up. We had a fire in March 2019, and chose Select Restoration as our lead contractor for the rebuild. From the first day of the process, their team provided a sense of comfort and confidence for us, and never wavered throughout the process. The communication was good, and their team was more than willing to accommodate our every request in the rebuilding process. We are very pleased with all of the work that was done, and are absolutely in love with our finished home. Our home had to be completely torn down to studs and rebuilt, and the work that was done is absolutely top notch. I would highly recommend any and all of their services.

I am writing this review to help those who have gone through a fire in their home. When I began to look for a restoration company I interviewed many companies but none compared to Select Restoration. Kevin Clinton was my Select Restoration representative and to say he has done an awesome job is an understatement.

We had an electrical fire in our home. Our home had extensive fire and smoke damage. I have a rare and serious disease so it was imperative there would be no lingering smoke after all the reconstruction was done. The discussion with other companies and my insurance company was basically to cover up the damage. Kevin's years of experience with home restoration gave him the knowledge that this would not be enough to make my home safe for me. Kevin recommended replacement of items such as insulation that was not fire damaged but smoke damaged.

Kevin also did a very thorough review of items in my home that were not up to code that other contractors missed. For example replacement of floor boards that did not meet code or replacement or charred floor boards verses cover up. Kevin's estimate resulted in a total of 3 times the amount of my insurance adjuster and other restoration companies estimates.

Not only was Kevin's review of the damage of my home more extensive he also had the skill and knowledge as to how to present the necessary information to my insurance company to obtain an approval. Kevin obtained certified documents from the City of Mount Clemens and an electrician outlining the additional work that he was advising needed to be done. Kevin included this documentation with the initial estimate providing my insurance company with the information they needed to authorize the additional work up front saving valuable time.

From assessing what needed to be done, to working with my insurance adjuster and picking up the slack from my contents removal company Kevin has kept the process of restoration moving in my home. Kevin's strong construction background enabled him to look for and find many areas in our home that were damaged but overlooked by other contractors and my insurance company. Kevin was persistent in his communication with my insurance adjuster.

In short, Select Restoration, provided excellent knowledge of what needed to be done to make my house safe for me, incredible negotiating skills and was kind and respectful to everyone. Select restoration should not be trusted. They threatened to refuse work on my house even though they were already paid unless i took down or changed what is an honest review exposing them.
They basically found ways to kustify a 40k roof on a 1200 sq ft single single level home. They were hired to do fire restoration by me. Select hired an abatement company to clean it up. That abatement companies foreman greeted me with a sincere appology for his employee stealing from me. They ripped out the copper plumbing that they werent told to. The forman said that emoyee was fired. They also broke into a part of my home which was unaffectedby the fire and padlock secured. tools and liquor was stolen there. The worse part is how denny from select tried to lie to me about the copper to save face over the abaters. The adjuster from my insurance informed me copper plumbing was to stay. And they didnt want to address the break in with belongings stolen. Never heard back over that from select. I chose them and i have regretted it ever since. When i mentioned some upgrades they offered to include some with the job but wouldnt put it in writing. Which is probably illegal anyway to offer to get work . I was most concerned with my home being returned to me promptly after a fire had occured. The superintendent kevin made all kinds of promises. Told me they would work hard and get it done ahead of estimated time.
Aftet i signed the contract it was as if i never existed. Only contact they made was to get me to sign over a check. Which i wanted to do while going over a gameplan for my house. After about three weeks of them nagging about getting paid. And still not doing any work or asking what i even wanted i gave in and signed it. I just foolishly believed they would do whats right. They still didnt start for a whole month after. Blaming it on ordering materials. Which coulda been ordered earlier. They were all about getting paid and not concerned with the job theu needed to do They worked about 10 days then pulled off of it leaving the roof uncovered and being rained on for.a month. Causing further damge. Which would mean more money for them when they went back to the insurance company. I had to get on them by leaving honest reviews to finally get them to go back to work. The owner agreed to do some work if i would take down the honest reviews or lie and give good ones!!! Wow blackmailed by them or they would screw me over more?
I wanted them off the job. I got an itemized reciept. Talk about insurance fraud. Select billed for work not done. About $1700 for treating wood not done and Tile not removed . I was being descent and had electricity turned on to make the whole job easier. Which i am not obligated to do. They can use generators for power an get to a point where the electricians can come in. They repay my generosity with sneaking a 600 plus dollar bill for putting an outlet on my breaker box. Im done with them so we fired them. Seems like they needed money so bad and werent willng to do the work they promised or were paid to. They took so much money with no work in return other potential contractors dont want to take the job now. With such little profit. After talking to other contractors i learned of selects financial troubles of rescent also. Which explains the taking Money and slow return. Promised upgrades disapearred after checks were signed.
Select restoration claim Defamation??? Nope just doing my duty as a honest descent human being so all of you are warned of them. I have no affiliation of any contractor. Gaining none personnally or financially here. I made my father.power of attorney like they claim over the building decisions because select restoration proved untrustworthy and needed constant monitering. My father who lives 3 miles away and a retired liscense builder was a perfect advisor for me. Selects poor work was also not only my opinion but also of someone who retired from that trade. What a great company! Expert service, knowledgeable and very cordial people. After 3" of water in basement when sump pump failed during last weeks storms I was desperate and needed help ASAP they were out here within an hour of phone call. They did an outstanding job an very through.
Very higly recommended if you need expert home repairs or emergency service. I notice they do siding, roofing, gutters, insulation and windows too.

We chose Select Restoration to handle the abatement of our asbestos insulated ductwork in our 100 year old home. I dealt with Dan, and he was very helpful. He answered all of my question, was very responsive, and informative.

The crews he sent out to do the work did a great job and I am very pleased. For the abatement, they took all of the necessary precautions and we received the proper air quality test results once it was finished. We also used Select Restoration to have new ductwork installed when that part of the project was completed. Shoutout to Kevin on that, the new ductwork is custom fitted for our low ceiling basement, and looks and works wonderfully.

All humor aside, I was extremely pleased with select restoration in full. Brain was very helpful and patient with the many question and concerns. Deni/contractor tended to my every concern, request and many changes and comments along the way.

Word of advise: ask many questions along the way, don't assume anything.

Select Restoration recently redid my basement following a flood event. I used the opportunity to completely update the large basement space to make it more usable and attractive. Brian and then Deni as project manager did an absolutely outstanding job - they were reliable, helpful, and immediately understood what I was looking to achieve with the update. They worked with me and accommodated my scheduling issues and I am thrilled with the result. It is beautiful and the punch listed consisted on only 1 item that was taken care of immediately. Our house caught on fire during the 4th of July while we were away from home, although we were unable to move back in because my husband got relocated, our house was left looking better than ever and put on the market. I highly recommend Select Restoration. Basement flooded due to faulty sump pump. Within minutes we heard from Dominic and he guided us through the steps. Even though it was evening, he and his crew came, removed articles from basement, checked for mold, sucked up water and placed commercial fans and dehumidifiers. Each day Dominic or Mark would check dryness of not only flooring but drywall too. They were extremely thorough in there analysis. I wish that I could give Select Restoration 10 stars for the professional service that they provided to me and my family. I had a two major plumbing issues in my home - 1.) The cast iron drain pipes were rotted away under me concrete slab home and it needed to be found, dug up and repaired - Problem solved thanks to Select Restoration having the proper equipment to find the problem area. 2.) The old galvanize drain pipe in the wall was leaking at a seem and puddling in my living room destroying the cabinet, wall & carpet. They fixed in all better than it ever was and the best part of this mess is that they dealt with my insurance company and got them to pay for everything which is and was impressive because the insurance company originally told my that I was basically screwed and that I was on my own. We had wind damage to our roof several months ago. We contacted our insurance company and their claims adjuster only approved the many roof shingles be replaced. We contacted Select Restoration and spoke with Missy who went to bat for us with our insurance company. After she re-submitted the same documents several times to our insurance company, they approved the entire front of our roof be replaced. Their employees came out and did a professional job. In error, I accidentally overlooked a key person, Deni. He was very instrumental in making our partial roof replacement possible. He took the time to come out and reassess the damage to our roof and prove to our insurance company that their claims adjuster under estimated the total damages. With his help, we got the entire front of our roof replaced.

Already loving this company! Easy to work with and honest! Basement flooded, called the big guy Servpro to get an estimate. Thought it seemed high but I'm no expert. Called Bryan at Select Restoration for a second opinion. He came out immediately, was very friendly, honest and ready to get the job done. And to top if off, his estimate was HALF of Servpro!!! Yes, half!! And when you are talking about thousands of dollars in damage, that is HUGE!!!! Highly recommend this company, so professional, friendly, honest and affordable!

These guys were great at every level - very responsive and trust worthy. I can also say that they were genuinely dedicated about getting the job done right, vs. making a ton of money - the repairs required to my home were small in scale to larger jobs.
