Matheny Ford

We bought a box truck from this company recently. We traveled 4 hours to get this truck and were so happy we did!
The service provided by Jim and Don was over the top.
Even with a 4 hour drive we will be returning to Matheny for future purchases.

They done a great job on getting me in and taking care of my needs on all three trucks
They found things that should have been done from the other place I had them serviced at. They kept me informed on what was going on and what they found wrong with the vehicles.

Needed a battery replacement, called and parts/service managers quickly and efficiently accommodated me in a friendly, courteous manner. Definitely recommend this dealership.

I was glad to see this dealership had a lot of good reviews and I was reluctant to pull them down with mine... but people need to know. They had a 7 year old truck listed on their site that I was interested in. The AutoCheck report showed it was in Canada for 7 years. The dealer was 3.5 hrs away from me so I called and asked "is there anything I need to know" kind of questions and I got the standard used car salesman answers. I specifically said I was asking because it came from Canada and the salesman replied they reset everything for USA measures, it passed WV inspection, blah, blah, blah. Well, I drove to see the truck and immediately noticed the horribly rusted frame recently covered with black paint. It really would have been nice for the salesman to inform me of the underbody rust and what they tried to do about it before I drove 7 hours (round trip) to see it. They did a good job with the black paint which makes the rust really hard to spot in the pictures they posted. Unfortunately, they waisted 7 hours of my time and gas.

I really wanted to like Matheny Ford. I found exact truck I was looking for at a decent price. Unfortunately, its in the details in which a dealership can shine or bomb. We live roughly 7 hours away, so we did most of the upfront work remotely. Once everything seemed likely, I scheduled a day to drive to the dealership with my family and check out the vehicle. The test drive went fine and we started the purchasing process. Overall, purchasing went fine, but took a lot more time that it probably should have given I was already pre-approved and the dealership had all of my particulars. Pulling out of the dealership is when the problems started. The check engine light immediately came on and I returned to the dealership. Long story - short, there were problems, but I was assured the dealership make them right, the problem was not significant, so go ahead and drive home and send them the results and they would cover the repairs. Needless to say, at that point, I was screwed. An O2 sensor was bad, the catalytic converter was bad and inappropriate for the truck even though the WV inspection said it met the standards. I never got reimbursed for anything (roughly $3000 in repairs), and have essentially been ghosted by the dealership. Buyer beware.

Will definitely be buying from again. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Had us in and out in no time and great prices.

Great experience buying my truck. I drive tractor trailer over the road, and working with Andrew over the phone and basically having the deal done when I made it home was a simple and easy process. Looked at vehicles online and chose one to view. Made appt to test drive (easy) and they were ready for me when I arrived. Personable staff, no surprises, knowledgeable salesperson and finance person, nice to work with, easy as it could have possibly been to slug through the required paperwork. A good buying experience, and frankly a far nicer and easier experience than I had pre-COVID in a different state and different dealership.

Sales manager (James Watson) was quite knowledgeable and helpful in matching my business and personal needs with the Ford trucks that were available. He and his staff made the entire purchase process easy and pleasant including orientation to the newer features that I had not encountered previously. I am glad that I decided on the Ford, and I feel comfortable that this staff "has my back" regarding any questions or servicing that I might need.

We Love the 2020 Ford Escape. The vehicle drives well and has all the special features we wanted. The staff at Matheny Ford was fabulous to work with and attentive to our needs.

Very kind people to work with. They were very helpful with choosing a vehicle and no hassle with the financing either.

The gentleman in the front of the store never even spoke to me he looked at me then turned his head so I walked back to the parts department and the gentleman at that counter was very helpful. He greeted my kindly and asked if he could be of any assistance told him who I was there to see and he helped me from that point forward.

Went in for an oil change. They also checked my tires. They advised me that I will need to get new ones by end of year.

First experience at this dealership and our salesman Todd made it a memorable one. A wonderful family owned full service dealership with a great staff who will do their best!
