L&A Interiors Remodeling and Handyman

I cannot say enough good things about L&A Interiors, Luis and his team. They remodeled our entire upstairs level, including the master bath, and built me an amazing walk-in closet that I can use as an in-home office. L&A Interiors also handled the renovation of my office building in Silver Spring, so I have worked with them closely and extensively this year. I have a lot to say, and this is not my first rodeo when it comes to renovation.

From the very beginning of our collaboration, I could tell how honest and straightforward the projects would be. Renovating an office that accommodates 26 employees, especially a medical facility with frequent visitors, is no easy feat. We barely noticed they were even there! Luis and his team were able to work during off-hours in the evenings, allowing our office to remain fully operational. They were extremely organized, focusing on one section at a time, and maintained cleanliness throughout. The cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail in their work are unparalleled. The office is now so beautifully done that we receive compliments nearly every day.

Regarding my house, Luis promised me the ease and cleanliness of the project would match the office. He was right, as their work was equally outstanding. They completed the project efficiently, but not so quickly that it compromised quality. Throughout the process, we felt like we were their only customers. He built me the most amazing closet- I get SO many compliments on it.

Finally, their estimates for both jobs were fair and more than reasonable. There were no surprises, either, which is hard to find in this type of work. Luis is honest, extremely reliable, and brilliant at his job. L&A Interiors has my highest recommendation.

Luis did a home addition for the previous owners of a house that I later bought. He came out to quote repairs and then ghosted me. I'm now removing my entire upper deck due to a roof leak from that job and uncovering subpar construction that will likely make it too expensive to put back. The deck and trim looked great but the clean looking exterior was hiding a lot of cut corners and poorly constructed infrastructure underneath unfortunately. Maybe a price performer, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Beware and make sure you get a contract that has a guaranteed warranty period.

I’ve used Luis for the past five years and with every project, he and his team have demonstrated integrity in their work and an attention to detail not often found in contractors anymore. He always prices fairly, explains what he will do and if he thinks it’s the best way or is worth the financial investment, and cleans up his job site so that you can enjoy the finished product. In my home he has painted, done carpentry, electrical, installed sinks, he’s amazing at drywall - I trust him with everything and anything. As the granddaughter of a contractor and the daughter of skilled home renovators, I highly recommend Luis and this company.
