If I could give 4.5 stars for L.H. Krueger and Son (LHK), I would. To explain, we called LHK, after having (2) horrible/failed roofs put on our house by other contractors within a span of 7yrs. Friends of ours had contracted with LHK in the past and had a very good experience with them, and, after hearing our roofing horror stories, recommended them to us. We gave them a call and set up a meeting with Jess Tikusis. Jess came over and listened to our story, we talked about what we wanted and needed, he did a VERY thorough inspection looking at the roof, inside the attic, and even inside the soffits! WAY more thorough than every other contractor we met with. Jess wanted to completely understand our roof system; he has such a wealth of knowledge and educated us on the what and, more importantly, the why of how each portion of the project should be done. He spent over 5hrs, over 2 seperate visits, explaining things and answering any questions we had; he was patient, kind, humble, and easy to speak with; completely different from ANY of the many contractors we had look at our roof; a night and day difference from every other contractor, in a really good way. So we agreed on a plan and signed a contract with LHK. We were kept notified of material delivery times and correct product staging processes; I had no idea that there is a right and wrong way to stage roofing material on our property and roof, but, LHK made sure that it was done correctly and per local code. We quickly had a project start date; again, the communication was great. The project started on time and as planned; at this point, our point of contact was Martin Lazcano (also awesome; patient, knowledgable, professional, upbeat). So here is where I deduct half a star. During the install there were items that were done incorrectly and some damage to parts of our home’s exterior; nothing major, though, and these items were honestly and completely taken care of as soon as they were noticed/notified. One of the biggest items I took issue with was the temporary sealing of our chimney over a weekend; the temporary caulking did not hold the weatherproofing at all and, with rain in the forecast, I needed to climb up on the roof and install tarping over the chimney to ensure no water leaked in; not a huge deal, but, not all homeowners may have the ability/material to climb up on their roofs to take care of something like this. Being a tradesperson for 26+yrs (electrician), I understand that every project will have “hiccups” along the way. Overall, in our case, we found that LHK was honest and attentive to get any issues made right very promptly. Cleanup everyday was excellent and we felt the LHK crew respected our property the days they were on site. In our case, LHK was not a one-day-install roofing contractor (I’d stay far, far away from those roofing contractors). They took their time, which is a good thing. I have neighbors already commenting that they noticed the LHK crew was careful and detailed during the install; hand nailing some parts, using chalk lines to ensure things were straight, etc. Overall, the roof turned out great. Time will ultimately tell how it holds up, but, from the look and feel of it, I expect it to be a long term roof that will perform well, and with LHK’s warranty and excellent service, if any issues to arise, I’m fairly confident they’ll be taken care of quickly. I feel very confident in LHK’s workmanship and processes and would completely recommend them, without hesitation, to my friends/family. There are A LOT of contractors just looking to make quick money. I felt that LHK was different and truly cared about our home and doing the job correctly; hard to find contractors like this nowadays! A big ‘THANK YOU’ to the L.H. Krueger and Son staff and crew! Wish we had known about them sooner and we look forward to working with them on future projects.

Fantastic company that was a pleasure to have working on repairing siding that was damaged in a windstorm. Extremely competent workers who efficiently replaced siding that was 30 feet above the ground level. I would definitely hire them again if needed.

I had an unusual problem caused by a bad roofing job and LHK was able to effectively mitigate the damage. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves so I was very pleased. I was also satisfied with the price even though I had nothing to compare it to. Would definitely recommend.

Great customer care you don't see much these days. Excellent communication, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Follow-up up even a year after to see if I had any concerns or questions. I liked they cleaned up before they left each day. They did my roof and gutters.

LH Krueger replaced the siding on our home last year. They did a fantastic job. When our roof was damaged from a hail storm in May, we called Jess, who we had worked with before. He was very knowledgable on dealing with our insurance company and the claims adjuster.

We had a garage roof, siding, and gutters replaced by LH Krueger, and we couldn't be happier. Everyone was extremely responsive, and the whole process went smoothly. We worked with Ryan, Andrea, and Martin. Ryan was over several times making sure we had the correct colors/materials, and answered all of our questions. Andrea kept us informed on the timeline. Martin was our project manager, and was on site several times. Everything happened on time, and their clean up was very thorough. We had received bids from several companies. LH Krueger wasn't the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive, but they offered more than the more and least expensive companies, such as a rodent guard and adding a vent in our roof. I would gladly use them again, and have recommended them to my friends and family.

L.H. Krueger did an excellent job replacing our roof and installing new gutters and gutter guards. Ryan H., the salesperson, was knowledgeable, very thorough and responsive throughout the entire process. The roofing crew led by Elias was top notch and extremely hard-working!!! Tearing off a cedar shake roof is never easy and these guys knocked it out of the park. Benny and his gutter team did a wonderful job installing the gutters safely and efficiently. Lastly, the gutter guard guys of Tom, Dan and Sean put the finishing touches on our extensive roofing project. Worth noting is LHK's attention to details; quality products, safety and a meticulously cleaned-up worksite each and every day are noteworthy characteristics. We're happy we chose L.H. Krueger!

L.H. Krueger and Son, Inc. just replaced our roof. From the first time Ryan H came out to give us the estimate, through the work overseen by Martin, and completed by Big Chris and the crew, we couldn’t have been more pleased. Their communication throughout the process was stellar. The crew took great care to protect flower beds, our deck, etc. Cleanup was great. We highly recommend them! Their work and customer service are terrific!

We could not be more happy we went with LH Krueger for our re-siding project. We had quite a few businesses quote our project. Ryan did a nice job walking through the options, working through permits & never once was pushy. Quote was competitive. Alejandro and his crew exceeded expectations on the install. Very methodical as they worked around the house, taking great care on the details. 5 stars across the board with the overall process, quality of the work and most importantly the people we engaged with. All around would recommend.

Crew was on time, knowledge and friendly. They walked me through the repairs that were done and provided other valuable information on my roof. The communication throughout the process was great as well. Well informed on what work was being done and when the crew would be showing up. The LH coffee mug was a great finishing touch!

After obtaining 3 estimates for my roof, I chose LH Krueger due to the professional and thorough presentation from Ryan. He was the only one who actually checked out the attic and got up on the roof! That said volumes to me. That ethic carried through with Martine and the other workers. I received a new roof, skylights, a repaired gutter leak and gutter guards. I am very happy with the whole process. Maybe not the lowest quote or not completed in a day, but you get what you pay for and can be confident the work was done with care. The quote for our work was very reasonable. The work was performed ahead of the anticipated schedule. The work was completed as discussed and the job looks great. They even left a souvenir mug. Very good experience.

Tom was very thorough and confident in the ability to do the job. I was in the hospital so I wasn't here during the repair and they were gone by the time I got home. It appears that the job was done well. I'll know more with snow and rain as it drains properly through the gutters and downspouts.
After the big snow fall we had, the south downspout was iced up and when melted, was covering my driveway with water that froze and was quite dangerous. Also the end of the downspout was jetting out onto the patio and could have been a tripping/falling hazard. I contacted Andrea and she had the crew come and reconfigure the downspout so that it drains away from the drive and the base is away from the patio area and no longer a hazard. I am so grateful for the great customer service and making sure that I was completely satisfied with the final results. I would highly recommend L.H. Krueger for quality work and incredible customer service.

After walking the property with the project manager to point out the problem areas, we knew this would be the company we would hire. We could not have asked for more. I have a rubber roof on part of my house that needed to be replaced or so I thought. Krueger came out and spent some time looking at it and ultimately telling me they could do a quality refurbishment where needed and save me thousands of dollars.

They determined what and where in the roof and quoted me a fair price for the work. They were able to come several weeks early, arrived right on time and made the repairs , and also made sure they have everything cleaned up.

This is good “old fashioned” business at its finest, meaning you are dealing with real, conscientious trades people who know their stuff and have midwestern values. I am very happy with my experience and recommend them fully.

A very busy company. My roof was complete reproof with new ridge venting. I had been having run off problems over the back door and leaks at the chimney. This was fixed to my satisfaction and roof drains into the gutters like it should. I am very satisfied with the it preforms. My one complaint is all the rows of the shingles are not straight, with a trainee on the job I would have taken the time to snap lines. The rows can not be seen from the ground, but in know it's there. Hard working lead man and patient with his help.

We had a relatively large project with a full roof replacement, skylight replacement, soffit and fascia wrapping, and new gutter installation. From our first meeting with Ryan in Sales, we knew this was the company we wanted to do business with. He took his time, gave a detailed, accurate quote, and answered any questions that came up during the sales/planning process. Project Manager Martin did an excellent job answering any questions during the project, keeping the process moving, and getting the final touches handled when the project was completed. The crews were friendly and hardworking and were obviously skilled in their craft. They might not be the cheapest quote you get, but you will get a quality product with a fantastic warranty. You will also have the assurance that you can trust this company as well as the confidence that they will be there for you for any needs in the future. Highly recommended!

I contacted LH Krueger for a roof estimate because American Family Ins said we needed a new roof. Ryan came out and the first thing he told me was that we did not need a new roof. We did need new gutters, so within a few days we had a written estimate. And within a couple of weeks new gutters. Great service.

Good communication, good people, and job well done with my gutter project. They were transparent and up front about material and labor costs. Highly recommend.

I had a total of four different estimates for this project. Of the four, I chose to go with L.H. Krueger. The sales person actually got on a ladder to take a look before the project was quoted. Leah who works in the office was quite helpful a few times when I called with different questions. The two installers that came out were friendly and down to business. This job was finished yesterday, so I haven't experienced any rain yet but from what I see everything looks great.

I needed roof repair in the summer of 2022 in our newly purchased home. For some reason most roofing companies didn't want to take repair work and wanted replace the whole roof which was fine and almost new. Krueger took on the work. I had to wait a little bit because they were busy but the whole process was very professional and organized. I met with a Mark for a quote. I was explained what kind of repair is needed, who will do the work and what materials will be used. Estimate was emailed to be in a few days. Repair itself was scheduled and completed on time. Repair man told me he found 4 leaks. Everything was cleaned up upon completion. It has been 9 months since, our roof survived winter and spring without a leak. I highly recommend this company for roofing projects. And they also followed up with me to ensure I'm happy. This my honest and unbiased review. I read some negative comments here and don't believe them.

My roof project was complicated- sagging rafters, and mold damage due to poor ventilation, in addition to the re-roofing. I could tell when a contractor was not confident or terribly interested in really doing the job well. But L H Krueger and Son was different. Jess dove in and explained in great detail what he was seeing and what we needed to do. He listened to me about wanting a real, lasting fix and helped coordinate carpentry services with the roof job to correct the roofline and then install a quality roof that looks fantastic and has an incredible warranty. Communication and timing was good despite delays that everyone is experiencing these days. If you are looking for just a quick fix, look elsewhere. But if you want a thoughtful, professional installation from a local family owned company, be sure to speak with L H Krueger and Son!

Our roofing crew was awesome. Alias (sorry if I’m remembering the name wrong) was exceptional! I felt like he treated my roof like he would his own. He kept us in the loop with what they were doing. His crew seemed to work very well together.
Tom did our soffit venting and I feel very confident about his expertise and the job he did.
As always, Jess was responsive with all of our questions.

Needed repair of rotting soffit details on second story. Three "contractors" came out to look, said they would "get back", but never did. Mark P. of Krueger came out, gave a written estimate and schedule, Krueger's repair tech, Tom, a great guy, showed up as scheduled, and completed the work very professionally. My wife could not tell where the work had been done. Krueger is the rare company that actually communicates with their customers, has competent repair people and completes work on time. Highly recommend them for home repair work!

I'm very glad I choose LH Krueger and Son to install my new roof and gutters. Communication was excellent, I knew what was going on and if I had a question or concern it was answered in a timely fashion. The work performed was done professionally and on time.

Go somewhere else. Yes the roof seems fine, it looks like they fulfilled the contract. But after that terrible, lots of trash left in my property. Then the dumpster was left for 3 to 4 days, once the dumpster was picked up there was trash under that was just left. I went to pay at their office but it was closed for and no one answered the phone. Sent payment in a week later but apparently too late now we are stuck with an extra charge. There are tons of companies to choose from that are amazing just go with someone else.

They replaced my cedar trim on my fireplace. This required a lift and two experienced carpenters. Everything was done well

LH Krueger repaired/replaced numerous shingles on a very high, very hard-to-reach spot on our roof after a winter wind tore them off. It was a small job by their standards I’m sure, but as soon as the weather permitted, it was taken care of promptly and we greatly appreciate the work.

Work done was siding repair. Original work value quoted was $5,399.
Work quality was satisfactory and performed in a timely manner. Longevity of the repairs will only be determined as time passes.
There were some scope of work changes due to unforeseen conditions. The changes were billed on T&M basis, which was agreeable to me. Total billed for these was $500. There was a difference of opinion between me and the LHK project estimator, who did the original quote and the change order valuation, that the $500 was calculated in a manner which was fair to both parties. In the end I capitulated in order to have the entire matter ended. I felt the attitude of the LHK estimator was condescending and will have to think twice before using LHK again in the future. Definitely I would be more careful to have all change orders documented in writing with pricing of those changes (including credits back to me as appropriate).

Fascia blew apart during high winds, had a difficult color to find and they took the extra effort to find the best match even though they had to get it from a different state.

They did a great job with my gutter repair. They did not push a full replacement when a repair was sufficient.

On the recommendation from my daughter and son-in-law, I contacted L H Krueger and Son for chimney removal and skylight (4) installation. From estimate to cleanup the communication with Mark, the office staff and project team was timely and well done.
The project team arrived on time, introduced themselves, told me what they were going to do and got to work. Everything went according to schedule and the weather cooperated!
I'm extremely pleased with the outcome. I recommend L H Krueger without reservation.

From our very first meeting with Jess, our salesperson, we were impressed! (That takes a lot to impress my husband). Jess not only sold us our roof, gutters, soffit, facia, and boxed in chimney, but he knew how to do it and why, because he IS an experienced contractor. The job started on time.
The roofers were all really nice guys! They found that our chimney brick, in some areas, was compromised. They didn’t hesitate to stop working to see what we wanted to do, not cover it up so they could stay on schedule. They were Respectful of our property and our neighbors. No blasting music or swearing. They did a great job!!!
Then all the detail work began. Chris and Chad started the facia, soffit and gutters. We found out that our house wasn’t built as well as we thought. A lot of “wonky” facia and rotted wood. No supports at the end of the porch roof so they had to put in extra supports before they could resume. Again it slowed down their progress, but had to fix it before progressing. These two are “artists” at their craft! They take their time , and it looks great! They also took out our old metal porch support and built a beautiful wood post.
The only disappointments we had, and this was because of the structure of our house, we ended up with a little waviness on the facia in a few areas, and again because of the facia and roofline, in the front of the house, Chris was unable to pitch the gutters the way he needed to so we had to put a downspout in the front by the porch and new pillar. If we all knew how that porch was going to effect so much, I would have moved the pillar further to the edge of the sidewalk so the gutter wasn’t as obvious.
Overall I give this company a 10 out of 10!

This passed summer we had high winds damage the soffit and fascia on our house and after attempting to reach the original contractor (who is now out of business), I tried to find anyone who would just do a repair. That was quite the endeavor and most places would only do full replacement, which we didn't need. I was just happy to have found someone to do the repair when I found L H Kreuger and Son, and it turned out to be a great find. Excellent communication from beginning to end, friendly and professional staff, and repairs completed within the timeframe quoted. Even with a relatively small project like a repair, I still felt valued as if I was having a big project done. This company will be first on my list for future home projects.

L.H. Krueger has done work for us twice. They replaced the roof, siding & trim on our previous home and did a fantastic job. Everyone we dealt with was professional, experienced and knowledgeable, and the workmanship was outstanding - we could not have been happier with the results. When we noticed a leak and some additional damage on the roof of our current home, we didn't even consider anyone else for the repair. We contacted L.H. Krueger, and once again, they did not disappoint. The repairs required replacement of some decking, shingles, siding, and a new cricket behind the chimney, and the teams did another outstanding job on everything. We recently had another roof repair to damage caused by an ice dam this past winter. Our most recent experience was as outstanding as our previous ones. Andrea in the office, Mark providing the estimate, and the repair team were all great to work with. We appreciate the accurate and honest estimates, and the quality of their workmanship. Everyone we have dealt with at L.H. Krueger & Son is knowledgeable and experienced, and they pay attention to details. Definitely a 5-star company to work with!
