Teddy was very informative and provided me a complete inspection which revealed issues with my roof that I was unaware of. He was very thorough with his explanation of what must be done to correct the problems and I had a very great experience with him.

Koby from Semper Fi Roofing & Exteriors did an incredibly thorough inspection of my roof—he spent over four hours checking every section and explaining what he was looking for. He walked me through their whole process and explained the quality of the materials they use in a way that was easy to understand. Had Semper fi replace my roof in 2023 I notice black debris on my gutters in area where they used the elevator bucket with the tarp over my gutters. Debris is only area where the tarp was used, I had them come out and they said it was some sort of growth? I do not know what black debris is but is only where the tarp was used all my other areas never had this? Anyone else have this experience?

I’ve NEVER left a negative review in my life, but I feel it’s important to warn others so they can avoid the experience I had. We had patio doors installed, and the workmanship was poor from the start, the trim was left unfinished, door wasn’t fully caulked, and the screen door was torn by the team. I was told I had to reach out to their support team to request a new screen door so I reached out multiple times and was either ignored or given vague reassurances that someone will get back to me. I was even told that my request to get a call back was put directly on the desk of who will be getting back to me and still got silence. At one point, I was told not to worry because the installers had been fired for doing subpar work, not exactly comforting when they were the ones who worked on my home. It took 51 days and lots of communication attempts on my end before someone finally came back to address the issues. Overall, it was a frustrating and extremely disappointing experience.

Beware — Semper Fi is not the company it used to be.

As a repeat customer, I’m deeply disappointed in the direction this company has gone. I had a great experience when Semper Fi reroofed my garage in 2018 — from estimate to installation and follow-up, Semper Fi was top notch. That past experience made it an easy decision to call them again to replace my house roof in May 2025. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

After the roof was installed on May 5th, I received a message from a company rep saying all went well and that he would return the next day for a final inspection. That never happened. Then, after the first rain on May 21st, I found standing water on the living room floor, multiple ceiling leaks, and water coming through a second-floor ceiling. The rep returned that evening and found a large gap in the flashing near the chimney (large enough i could fit my hand in it) and made a temporary fix. He acknowledged fault and assured me the company would take care of the damage.

Another rep came the next day to make a more permanent fix and assess the damage. He also confirmed it was installation-related. But within a week, neither rep was with the company anymore. I called the office and spoke with the warranty manager, who also acknowledged the issue and said they would make it right — even calling it a high priority. That promise was not followed through.

I was passed to a third rep, who arrived and immediately shifted the conversation to possible pre-existing damage even before seeing any of the damage or the area where the water entered. At that point, it became clear the company was trying to walk back responsibility, despite earlier admissions from multiple staff members. Eventually, a fourth person came with equipment to simulate rain. He applied the equivalent of 30 inches of water over an old patch of roof (not even in the reroofed section) and found only a trace of moisture. This was used to suggest the leak was from elsewhere, despite the fact that the original damage came after only a light rainfall, directly through an area the crew had worked on.

Communications were slow and inconsistent. I was frequently told someone would follow up, only to be met with silence. At one point I was told the damage came from a leaky pipe — even though that pipe couldn’t possibly account for the volume or path of the water. The explanation didn’t hold up under basic scrutiny, especially given I’ve lived in the home for 16 years with no prior water intrusion — until immediately after the new roof went on.

One rep also commented that a large portion of their workforce had left the company recently. Throughout this process, I was told multiple times about internal restructuring, new systems, and general disorganization — all of which were used to excuse delays and dropped communication.

There are still spots on the new roof that concern me, including flashing that I believe will be a problem in winter. I also discovered damaged siding that was never mentioned or addressed. The final inspection never happened.

I feel I was treated very poorly and with dishonesty and deception. There was a lack of accountability and transparency, and their follow-up was unacceptable. This experience has completely changed my view of the company, and I can no longer recommend them.

I have documentation and a timeline of events including text messages and voicemails from various representatives that detail my experience.

Colin and his crew from Semper Fi Roofing were amazing. The job ( house and garage) was done quickly, professionally and neatly. Having an older home we did run into some issues, but the crew quickly found solutions that had little, to no impact on cost. We are extremely happy with the job and communication from them, before, during and after the project. Highly recommended.

All workmanship ship was done to our liking.

A company who charges a fair price and does what they promise! My experience with Semper Fi was so refreshingly positive from start to finish-no "only today sale" high pressure tactics, great guys who worked on both our windows and gutters. They answered all my questions, worked throughout the day and even helped me catch my dog who escaped out of the window they were working on! Love this company!

I have personal experience with Semper fi roofing and exteriors from an insider prospective and it is not what it used to be. Once bought out… the company atmosphere changed and they (Victors Home Solutions or Vertex) no longer cared about the “family” that built the name or the customers that supported. It was all about the money. I would no longer recommend semper fi roofing and exteriors and have actually sent family to competitors because Semper Fi no longer stands by there values that made them great. And agree with other comments.. they are no longer veteran own and operated and actually fired a handful of veterans the day after Memorial Day..

Koby did a great job explaining everything about our roof and all our options. Would definitely recommend him and Semper Fi to friends.

When setting an appointment for a quote, they confirmed that I was within their service area (I live rural), earliest appointment was 29 days out. I agreed to wait because I myself am a Marine and wanted to give a brother an opportunity for the work, and I could solicit other quotes while I wait. Day before the appointment I receive a text telling me I’m outside their service area and that my appointment is canceled, they provided a phone number to call if I had an issue. I called the number and it wasn’t valid. I called the office to find out what went wrong and to express my disappointment that they displayed disrespect by sending the cancellation via text and not a phone call. Couldn’t get past the call center.

This company can’t even demonstrate “I got you covered” let alone the motto of the Marines and their namesake “Semper Fidelis - Always Faithful “. Too big for their britches I guess.

Owner most likely a “Hump Drop”. That’s ok brother we’ll carry you along.

I gave 1 star rating, because they were capable of answering the phone.

Ian came out for an inspection and was great! He informed us on what was going on with our roof and answered all our questions about how they would go about solving the issues.

We had Teddy come out today to do a roof inspection today. He was really honest on the condition of the roof. Did a great job explaining what needs to be done, went over different types of shingles, etc. Had a great experience with Semper Fi.

Teddy came over to inspect our roof for potential hail damage. Was very thorough, and informative. Great customer service. Would highly recommend their business.

Vlad and Karrie did an awesome job with assessing our roof! They showed us two very thorough videos with commentary explaining what was being shown; pictures as well. They have a variety of pamphlets which are very informative as well as many samples of their products. We have 5 kiddos which they were also great with and patient with us as they were in the background at times. When they leave your home you will feel confident in the decision you are making; and well educated. They truly desire to meet all your needs as a company, with integrity and excellence!

Hired Semper Fi for a gutter replacement. Could not be happier with the experience. Had Joe come out and help us with the initial planning and estimate, including color selection, downspout placement, etc. We scheduled things a month out. The crew showed up with everything they needed, confirmed the plan and were done in a few hours. Afterward, the company had Darrell come out and make sure everything was done well and he even called us back after the first big spring rain to make sure the setup was working well, which it was. Overall, would recommend highly.

These guys are GREAT! They did my parents house. They replaced all the rotted boards under the facia. They did a great job, tying it into the siding. Gutters look beautiful. Everything was cleaned up perfectly. They were very professional and friendly. Gideon and Albert are the best. We will absolutely call them if needed in the future.

Josh was very detailed. He included pictures & vidios of my roof, pointing out the parts that were done improperly, and the parts that could be improved with modern parts/proceedures. He brought a presentation kit that showed me how Semper Fi's materials compared to standard materials & what was on my roof. I'm going with Semper Fi to replace my worn out roof.

Office was very prompt about scheduling and appointment. Sales rep came out at was very professional and did a thorough inspection and showed me some samples. That was great. He said he would send me an estimate by email. Never received it. I called him twice over 2 weeks and left a detailed message. He never called back. We signed with another roofing company.

I had some leaking on my drywall after a recent rain. My dad had previously used Semper Fi for his roof repair; it was an easy choice. Jeremey came out to do my estimate. He was incredibly professional and efficient and made me feel confident in what needed to be done to move forward with repairs! Would highly recommend Semper Fi and Jeremey!

Semper Fi was great to work with from the initial visit with Joel to final walk through with Gideon and Albert. They were priced competitively, finished the windows in first day and stayed late the second day to finish the siding.

Giving two stars because they came out for an estimate a few years ago and were great. This time I submitted online form, they called Friday, scheduled me for two appointsments , Saturday and Thursday. They called and rescheduled my Thursday appointment because they were busy and no showed my Saturday appointment. Got a call Sunday morning and told them no thank you. They did the same thing to my neighbor as well.
*Update* I wasn't going to reply but you guys saying you cannot find my name in the system is BS. I have voicemail form you guys, txt messages and you came to my house a few years ago. Unreal.

Our roof looks great! Great company to work with from start to finish. The site manager Darrell was very thorough and was there all day to answer any questions we had. The crew was very careful with our plantings and outdoor items that could not be moved. They even moved a couple things off the patio that were possibly in their way so they wouldn’t get broken and put them back after they were done. Clean up was extremely thorough!

I was very impressed with James. He explained the problem, and did some work right away to make sure the situation didn't get worse. He also assured me that they will get back to me as soon as possible to fix the problem.

My five star rating is now one star - would be zero if allowed! Don’t hire Semper Fi! If you have problems, they will not support you. Will tell you it’s house’s fault and accept no responsibility! Might as well hire the guy down the road with a truck and hammer for half the price - might even get better support!
EDIT 6/16/25 - no one from Semper Fi has reached out. I tried to work with Semper Fi before I posted this one star review and was treated horribly so not holding out hope they will actually resolve this until we get an attorney involved.

Jeremy was great with explaining and showing all the options/materials. He definitely is knowledgeable with not just roofing but insulation and venting. The company does take pride in their work. I appreciated how he was not pushy with selling the most expensive option.

No show for an estimate TWO DAYS IN A ROW. First their inspectors work truck broke down. Then, apparently, dispatch didn't work the next day so they had no idea the truck was broke down. 45min later and nobody shows. All I got was a clueless hard to understand receptionist. That's Marines for you, I guess

I chose Semper Fi for my roofing project because of their excellent reputation, and they did not disappoint!! From the moment I met Marty (Martin Sievert), I knew I chose the right company! He was personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, and I appreciated his positive attitude and calm demeaner. He explained every step of the process and helped me to navigate a complicated loan closing. If I texted or emailed with more paperwork to sign or a request for the breakdown of the costs, he responded quickly and made sure that I had everything in a timely manner. I always felt like my project mattered to Marty, and I could not have been more satisfied with his service and the results of my roofing project! Semper Fi did a great job for the City of New Berlin, some Park Gazebos had new roofs installed and more are currently in progress. Marty and Darrell are great to work with.

Jimmy, Hunter and Cayden inspected every stone on the exterior of this ranch style home and carefully re-mortared any loose or failing grout. Respectful on my property, the roof looks great. The whole process was a pleasure, from the estimate to cleanup. Randy Schamerhorn was my project manager who contacted me numerous times to keep me posted on the progress of material arrival, crew arrival, the status of the job and then checking on my satisfaction at the end of the job. I had SemperFi, along with several other companies and even a few individuals on the side, come out to give me estimates. While SemperFi wasn’t the cheapest, as a business owner and salesman myself, I look beyond just price—I pay attention to the details.

From the first time I met Jason, his firm handshake and eye contact gave me immediate confidence. As we walked around my house, he pointed out the key areas that truly needed replacement, and just as importantly, what could actually wait. That honesty earned my trust. It was clear he wasn’t just trying to upsell me or go after my wallet.

Contacted Semper Fi for a new roof on a rental home I own. I worked with Joel from Semper Fi Sales. He was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions directly, and offered up some suggestions to really add value to this home and this project. The price was very competitive and the selling and scheduling process is top notch. So glad I contacted and worked with Semper Fi as I gained the most value from this Company.

Semper Fi replaced my roof and gutter, and they did amazing job from beginning to the end. Joe and Adam were both very knowledgable and very transparent from the beginning. They explained everything we needed to know, didn't pressure us into anything we didn't need, and followed up after the job was done. I tried to call Semper FI to come and take a look at my roof for possible damage and give us a quote for siding. The person I spoke with on the phone insisted that my wife be present for the inspection/quote and that they wouldn't even come out and take a look if she was not available. This screams high pressure sales to me as they want a decision on the spot. Be cautious when dealing with Semper FI. Awfully shady never had this experience with another contractor.

Would recommend this company above any other. They were the only company to make sure all my needs were addressed and communication was top notch. Able was my point of contact throughout the whole process and was knowledgeable and thorough. The work was done quickly and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They left the job site incredibly clean and were professional from start to finish.

We chose Semper Fi Roofing and Exteriors because of how quickly and efficiently they addressed our exterior needs. Roof, front Window, and chimney all fixed up at very reasonable pricing. The quality of work was phenomenal and professional.

I’m very pleased with my experience with SemperFi. The sales associate, Abel, was professional, friendly and informative. My window came in earlier than expected so that was great. The window is beautiful. I am so happy I made this decision. The crew were very friendly and got the job done in no time at all. Daryl and the crew were incredible. Roof was done fast and efficiently. They knew they were up against weather and pulled together a very large crew and had our entire roof of house and detached garage done in 1 day. They also uncovered a builder defect and created a fix that worked and did not break the bank. As the PM, Daryl ensured everything was done up to his high standard and we really appreciated that. They also were impeccable at cleanup. I wish I would have taken during tear off pics and after cleanup. Not one nail found anywhere we looked. Highly recommend!!

Austin with Semper Fi showed exceptional customer service which is hard to find. As requested, Austin gave me a courtesy call when he was 15 minutes away from my home so that I could be prepared when he arrived. He was punctual, introduced himself, and shook my hand when he arrived which showed me professionalism. Austin took the time to show me things on the roof which definitely needed attention. He took the time to show me and explain all the materials the company would be utilizing when laying my new roof. He gave a great presentation and the quote he prepared broke down everything I needed to know as far as price, materials, and how the roofing team would work together to make things happen for the customer.

Matt S came out to give a quote at a time that was convenient for us. He was nice, knowledgeable and professional. Our issue was complex and Matt was honest about what needed to be done. It was not a job that Semper fi could do so Matt was extremely helpful with explaining what needed to be done and how to find the right company to do that. He took his time with us and then left his phone number and made himself available for questions we have about this project. I will definitely be calling Semper fi next time I need roofing.

Zachary Weibye Was awesome. He looked over my roof and Explained everything that was needed. He also thoroughly checked my gutters Is for any improvements needed. Per my mom, “Joel did an excellent job of explaining everything to me.. Jeremy did an excellent job of measuring my back door and took the time to tell me what the cost and everything I needed to prepare for that. Very pleased with services so far..”

**UPDATE** My mother finally got her siding completed and it looks fantastic. However. there are some issues with loose boards that she has called the office about and have been getting the runaround with due to no one being at the office or no one showing up after setting appointments. Either way, she paid good money for this siding and it needs to be finished correctly. She finally had someone come out today, who told her that " it's not really a problem but if you want it tight against the house I can send some guys out next week but I'll have to give you a call". We researched this siding prior to deciding which one to go with. This siding is not supposed to be loose. If it is, that means it was installed incorrectly or there is a problem with the moisture barrier. And if it was the latter, wouldn't there be a problem with all of the boards in that area and not just a few here and there? I believe my mother said that there were 11 total boards that needed to be addressed. As I said before, she paid good money and this needs to be fixed.

Excellent company to work with, from the work performed, the materials they use, and their outstanding workmanship warranty. Marty was exce.llent thought the process, and Adam and his crew were beyond professional when my cantankerous neighbors decided they had an opinion about my property. Everything was done in one day, my property was left clean and the roof and gutter guards look amazing. Cannot recommend this company enough. If you are a veteran definitely call them for work.

Update May 2nd, 2025.

James came out today to solve some gutter issues. He showed up first thing in the morning, explained the issues that were leading to some of the clogging issues and fixed another issue, all in under an hour.

Update: Getting gutter guards now for my new roof. Good price & very efficient. Josh was great!!

Semper Fi was efficient with time & materials. They kept us informed from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better project manager. My roof looks fabulous!! We’re so happy with it. The fact that they use Vets makes it even better.

Semper Fi did new roof, soffits, facias, gutters and gutter guards.
From discussions with sales person about how project would go, to discussions of protecting landscaping, outdoor lighting, etc, all was taken into account when workers were there.
From office, field supt, progress pictures on the portal, crew politeness, and workmen ship, I have been letting neighbors and friends know, this company is good!

After the June hail storm in Oconomowoc, I contacted Semper Fi. Our roof, siding gutters and facia were badly damaged. They were prompt in getting over to evaluate the damage and were with us every step of the way. They made sure they were here when the insurance company sent over their adjuster. They had a great selection of quality materials to choose from. There was a backlog on siding which was industry wide. Communications were good with emails and status updates as we waited. Once our siding came in, supplies were delivered and crews promptly began the work. All the crews that came were skilled, professional and courteous. I feel they went above and beyond and the end result was a beautiful transformation of our home. Serving in the US Marine Corps myself, I felt this veteran owned company was a solid choice and shared my values and beliefs. Throughout the project, I met several veterans that work for Semper Fi and they were all really great to meet and work with. Thank you to everyone at Semper Fi.

Update 2 years later and there are still issues that they repeatedly say they would come and fix and never show up. They even scheduled a day at one point and never showed or even called. Concerning being as they brag about warranty type work, but if they never show or drag stuff out this long, who knows how good their warranty really is when you actually need them.

Update: after listing the last update, I was contacted by Semper Fi the very next day. They were very apologetic, came and fixed all issues I had noticed and fixed many things I hadn’t noticed. All services and correspondence was prompt. Everything looks great. Thank you Semper Fi for following through and taking care of everything.

Adam W. and his crew came out to replace our front picture window. They were extremely respectful and pleasant. They were able to deal with a miscommunication with openness and a positive attitude. The window looks amazing and they left the house and outside area spot free. Will definitely use them again. Thank you all so much!

Don't bother calling this company if you would like repair work done on your roof. They never call back. Obviously are not interested in repairs or your future business.

I did get SemperFI another chance a few years ago on my roof replacement and they where very responsive and I gave them the business where they did a good job on the work. I felt I should post a reply as this old review has been out there a long time and it only fair to provide an update for anyone still looking at reviews this far back. Rating changed to 5 stars.
