I purchased a second hand Tacoma from the crew at Kona Auto Center and I was very impressed and satisfied with the service! Justin was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the vehicles I was interested in and he did not hesitate to let me have the vehicle looked at by a reliable service tech. Vincent and Marvin were able to give me several options to choose from regarding pricing for my new vehicle, and they even found a better loan rate for me by calling multiple sources. I also got a very reasonable trade-in value for my previous vehicle. The entire team made me feel very valued and comfortable through the entire process. I could not recommend a better sales team to do work with. Many mahalos!

Not a perfect experience, but not horrible. I tried to sell my car and got a good price, but when I went to deliver it, I was told they did not have room anymore.

Fortunately, they pointed me in the right direction, and my car was sold within the hour without issue and at the same price.

Leonard was a standout guy for sure but he wasn't there when I came to deliver my car.

I had overheating problems with my Jeep Cherokee, and Kona Auto Center was the best, I am taking it no where else. Very thorough and detailed, I liked how they asked me a lot of questions about my issue and after a test drive to confirm the symptoms they were right on it. They got it diagnosed and fixed the same day and now my Jeep is running perfectly again with no issues. Very great customer service Zay was very friendly and informative the whole process was very transparent. Highly recommend Kona Auto Center if you need Jeep serviced!

Allen Crocker at Kona AutoCenter is amazing! He listens, has patience and does what he can to make sure your needs are met! I came in with a pre approval from my personal bank, he was able to help get me approved with a local bank , lower interest rate and a higher loan amount! Anyone needing a new vehicle must go see Allen, you wont be disappointed.

My experience selling my car to Kona auto center was top notch. Joshwa, aka goofball, found my market place post and followed through in the most professional manner. I am new to Hawaii, and EJ in the service dept helped me so much, and he couldn't have been friendlier. EJ and the other service staff explained to me exactly what I needed to do to get license plates. When I got them, I returned and since my Florida Subaru never had a front plate, EJ helped me put it on. Thanks again EJ and I will be back!

They got me in one day later and had all the parts to fix the problem.

I've been buying Jeeps from this business for the last 25 years. Besides Jeeps being great products another reason that I specifically go to this dealership is their service department. Toby Larson I believe that's his last name is in charge of the service department and when I have to come in for service he has been outstanding and very professional. I want to purposely give a shout out to him because of his extra stellar service and knowledge and I appreciate employees like that.

Horrible experience. Waited for repair to be completed for over 3 weeks. We, were misinformed about the status of repairs multiple times, told that someone will call us back and they never did. Upon receiving the truck's bed tonneau is completely broken. The service center denied any responsibility. In addition to the more than average cost of the fuel pump replacement we had to pay for 3 weeks of car rental and 700$ for a new bed tonneau. Never coming back.

When my wife and I went to buy a new car, we took the process slowly and test drove cars at multiple dealerships. After researching the vehicles, we decided to come back to Kona Auto Center so she could drive the new Nissan Rogue. Our original contact, Marvin was in the middle of taking care of a customer so he took a moment to introduce us to Josh who took us on the decision making test drive. Josh knew the specs of the car so well that he was able to answer all of my wife's questions while out on the drive and was intuitive enough to pick up that what she really wanted was the floor model. When we got back to the dealership, Josh passed us back over to Marvin and let him know that we were interested in getting the floor model and together they made it happen. When all was said and done, Josh set us up with the Nissan app and helped to connect us digitally to our new car. We feel really happy to have had the help of all the staff we interacted with, from Marvin, to Josh, and all the way up the chain to Vincent the sales manager; we felt taken care of every step of the way and can't recommend the team at Kona Auto Center enough.

Marvin had worked with family and friends at another dealership so when my husband and I were ready to get a new vehicle, he was my first call. I found out he was at Kona Auto Center and we went to see him later that day. He got to know us as people to help us to choose the car that was perfect for us. He listened to me and answered any questions I had with technical knowledge as well as kindness and respect. He didn’t only sell us a vehicle but made us a part of the family, the best part about Kona auto center in my opinion is the service center and staff at both the sales and service departments. I feel confident that our vehicle will be taken care of so that we will be safe on the road. It was truly the best car buying experience and I know Marvin is a huge part of why. Been here a few times for my car and they said they would reimburse me since my service was covered under warranty and I still wasn’t refunded almost a year later. I’ve called and called, been in multiple times to talk to them and they just keep saying they will call me. They broke the oil filter on my vehicle and blamed another company for the doing. I scheduled an oil change there stating I had to be somewhere at a certain time, so they said it was no problem and I booked the earlier oil change 6 hours prior to the time I had to have my vehicle back and when I arrived they made me wait one hour with my toddler, and they still didn’t start on my car AND they said they had to their lunch break and lunch was an hour and a half so now they couldn’t finish my car in time. So why did I make an appointment a week in advance then? There are a few kind & helpful people that work there, but the ones I’ve worked with outside at the stand are rude and make you pay bizarre amounts for their wrongdoings.They have continuously lied to my face and won’t reimburse me or own up to the fact that they are incorrect. Highly recommend checking out some other places first for all your car needs. I won’t bring my vehicle here ever again, nor will I ever book an appointment for their services again.

I can't say enough about the service here. I only have ever had Chevy trucks and stopped by Ram too take a look. I had the pleasure of working with Jay. He was professional, listened, answered all my questions and took the time to make sure I understood all the features. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

My husband and I purchased a used vehicle this past week. There were a few unforeseen issues that came up. We began to question our purchase. We had a bad experience with a brand new purchase from ANOTHER dealership in December, and we are still waiting on a solution on that one. I guess you could say that gave us trust issues with dealerships, so we were expecting the worse. We were SOOO wrong. They guys took very good care of us from start to finish. We are beyond grateful for the way they handled things, the great communication, and the solution they came up with. Robert was great to deal with from the get go. This dealership is selling a 2019 F150 with 40k miles for 59k and truck purchase value from Courtesy Ford in Portland, Oregon is 66k. Although the truck is 2 years, the vehicle depreciates the minute it leaves the dealership in Oregon by 20%, and has 40k miles. Its like driving a 4 year old vehicle.

Both my wife and I work for different companies that occasionally do business with Kona Auto Center. Each time we have on seperate occasions gone there to conduct business, we have found many of the employees to be unhelpful, rude and/or arrogant. They need to understand that while we may be providing a service to them, we could also both be future customers. Not that we will now.

Kona Auto Center has the best team. They play no wheeling and dealing games. Thanks to them I have a car that I love and feel very safe in.

He was able to help me trade in my car from the mainland and get me into a Jeep which is way more practical for island life. I was able to get a great trade in value as well as a great deal on the Jeep. He went above and beyond to make sure the Jeep was perfect and had everything I needed. Also, Cassie in the Nissan Service Department was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and provided exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend buying from Kona Auto Center. A+ :)

Disappointed. Tried to conduct an internet and covid safe purchase here at this dealership, but seems you must visit in person to get any form of negotiated purchase. I'm sure it works best for the dealership to have you sit in their office, but not best for the customer. Oh well, plenty of other options.

We own Big Island Jeep Rental which means we have 18 jeeps to service regularly! Nichi on the Chrysler service team is amazing!!! He takes such good care of us! He understands our Jeeps are rentals and we have to take them out of availability to service. He gets them in and out so quickly and communicates with us so well on what is necessity & what can wait if needed. I will be honest, before Nichi was there, we avoided this service department because it was a huge hassle. Nichi has changed everything! Now, we’re disappointed when we drop off a Jeep for service and we don’t get to chat with Nichi!

We also want to send some love to Allen our favorite sales guy! We have purchased roughly 10 Jeeps from him and he’s amazing! He’s not just a sales guy, he’s a friend! And that’s how sales are supposed to be! Allen is an honest good person and he actually talked us out of a Jeep that wasn’t a good fit for our needs and got us into something better for us that was cheaper! Seriously, who does that?! Allen does!

Appalling bad service for Jeep. Yesterday, my Jeep Wrangler seems to have lost it's mind when I tried to start it (all dashboard warning lights flashing). I called Jeep roadside assistance. It took 3.5 hours for the truck to arrive. I was informed the dealership would be "waiting" for me. They were not. They would not diagnose it and advised me they will, "make every effort to look at it" 4 DAYS AFTER it was dropped off. I had to rent a car out-of-pocket for an indeterminant period because Jeep only provides a rental AFTER the problem is diagnosed as a warranty issue. Any dealer who thinks 5 days to look at a vehicle covered under warranty is acceptable and expects you to foot a rental car for their inefficiency obviously does not value the customer.
