KD Electric

KD Electric repaired several outlets in my home. They were very professional and extremely helpful. I had contacted them for a power loss in one of my rooms. They found the problem and corrected it immediately.

Shady pricing. I recommended KD Electric to a family member, based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. Before I did, I noticed a customer review which mentioned that they charged too much. I ignored it, thinking that this might just be a case of someone who had no idea what professionals charge. I should have listened. For what turned out to be a very simple, fix (resetting a circuit breaker) KD charged an astounding $700. The guy even had to make a trip to Home Depot (on the clock, of course) to pick up some thing that he should’ve brought with him in the first place. Shame on them. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence before recommending. Never again.

KD has always been a trusted Electrical company for me. I have worked with them on several occasions for various projects. Recently they came out to my house to do some service work. Mike and RJ were the technicians and great to work with. They diagnosed all of my concerns and corrected them same day. They charge hourly but worked hard the entire time, they had great work ethic. They even found a couple of items I didn’t know about and we decided to fix them up too. All of my ceiling fans, switches, and GFI’s are working correctly now. Now I realize how important it is to maintain your electrical system just like all things on your home.

Having used KD Electric several times, they have proven to provide good service at reasonable cost in a timely manner.

Technicians were very professional. Not only fixed the issue, but doubled checked everything that could possibly affect that area. One technician had been to our home before, recognized us and so cheerful!

We worked with KD on a commercial EV charger installation project. Their commitment to timely communication, excellent work quality and just plain old fashioned respect and congenial interactions was amazing. You would be well served to work with Damon, Katrina and Greg for whatever electrical contacting needs you may have. They are, quite simply, the best.

We will never work with this company again and will let our friends know when they ask who we recommend for electrical.

We asked for a quote on the entire building and gave them access to the entire building. They then sent us and invoice quote which we accepted and they started working. We then got an additional invoice that added 30 bulbs to the original quote. They will say they gave us a quote, but we have NEVER had to babysit contractors when we ask for a quote on the "entire building". That should be self explanatory to any professional business.

And I'm sure they will comment and claim the reason for the unaccounted bulbs is that we didn't give them access to the rooms, but we absolutely did as none of our rooms are locked or inaccessible.

Not a professional company, no accountability, would not recommend to anyone.

We had KD electric out to assist with our hot tub electrical wiring that was previous done incorrectly by another person. Katrina and Damon were extremely professional, responsive, and they went above and beyond to assist us with our project and questions/concerns. I would recommend KD Electric to anyone in need of assistance with their project, and I would use their services again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Best racket in town! This is how it works: they come to give you an estimate and tell you that it's going to be a difficult job that would require so many hours. You sign the estimate. The job is easy and takes half the time, but because you've already accepted the estimate they charge you for double the time. Well played! But I'm no longer a customer.

The technician that came to our rental property, Cesar, was on time and very professional. The problem turned out to be within the HOA system and not our unit. Cesar stayed onsite until maintenance showed up and explained what the issue was.
It is so refreshing to get fast, quality service at a fair price. I highly recommend KD Electric.

My stove recently started tripping the breaker whenever we used the big eye in the stove near high temp. The guys came over, ruled out the stove, and fixed the problem breaker.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Stay away from this company if you DON’T WANT to be given the run around about charges, scope of work - and quite frankly - if you want to be treated with respect.

Yes, the job was done to my satisfaction but the follow up exchanges with the owner about what I was charged were concerning, shocking and anxiety-inducing. The owner clearly thinks that using condescension and bullying tactics are an effective method to intimidate customers who don’t have the same skill set. VERY bad experience working with this company. Overpriced and unprofessional management. The actual technicians, however, were sincere.

Also, paying $195 upfront just to do an estimate (which took less than 5 min and did not even include all the services I had requested) should have been a huge red flag. I now realize what a bad business model that is. Find someone else people!

* BTW, I’m sure a sharp response to this review from the company will follow, which will attempt to throw me under the bus. Apparently, that’s how this company operates - as observed from my own interactions, not to mention the owner’s responses to other customers’ poor reviews.*

I needed an electrician emediatly and took a chance on KD Electric based on my Google search; their reviews were really good. The phone was answered right away and I was able to get an appointment for the same day. RJ showed up and co-ordinated with the plumber for required power outlets for an electric hot water tank, washer, and dryer. RJ was extremely professional, very friendly and was able to get to work right away. I am so glad I took a chance and made the phone call to KD Electric. I will always rely on them for all my future electric needs. I highly recommend KD Electric. Thanks again RJ, you rock brother.

Professional & Responsive! We needed a new electrical sub and we reached out to several, with little to no response. KD Electric got back to us the same day and was very accomodating with our project needs. Very friendly and kind as well. We look forward to working with them more in the near future. Would definitely recommend them!!!!

Bill and Vincent were absolutely awesome! On time, professional & completed several small tasks that could have waited until the big install but their can-do attitude didn't wait! They jumped right in & fixed all the little things that were annoying me. Which they did willingly & without judgment which right there earned them 5 stars! But their knowledge of what was wrong & how to fix it quickly earns them another 5!

They were on time, professional, but a bit expensive. Wife wouldn't let me replace the outdoor outlet, so had to go with an electrician for the job.

Evaluated 220v line to hot tub breaker that kept tripping. Concluded that hot tub had the short not the breaker box. They checked all fuses on hot tub, they were good. Hot tub short will have to be determined at another time.

Great services, fast, and reasonable pricing! The first time I called KD Electric was to help install some garage outlets. When they arrived they pointed out to me there was no way to get up to the attic to run wiring needed. They did not even charge me for the trip out. I then had an access panel cut into the ceiling to create the access for them. I then scheduled them to come back out and install the garage outlets and relocate our 2 AC unit panels (50 amp) so we could the units. They came out and were on-time and confirmed all the work with me before leaving. They worked around our other contractors as well. I was pleased with all the work from scheduling, install, invoicing, and price (which I think was a fair price). It took them ~4 hrs. to get the work done with 2 electricians. I would highly recommend them to anyone for high and low voltage needs!

Initially I called for a ceiling fan chain pull to be put back in place… But it seemed that the unit is so old it broke off and isn’t fixable… The repair man actually got the light working with the switch and the fan can be used with the chain

I couldn't be more impressed. The receptionist remembered key details when calling to let me know the electricians were on the way. The install guys were efficient, offered advice, and were committed to getting the job done. This is a team that polishes their reputation every job they have. They can expect referrals from me for excellent work.

Had set a time to start at 3pm 10/18 and they never showed, got called after saying they couldn't make it and to reschedule, had to take a day off work for that, huge bummer. Rescheduled for 10/22, told they me be in after 8, they show up at 7:45 and because I'm not there they leave and say they might squeeze me in later in the day. I get that electrical companies are busy but this is absolutely terrible communication. They're in demand and just don't care. At $185/hr I think better communication isn't to much to ask. I will never been using KD Electric services ever.

I never know what to expect with the first visit from skilled workers. Are they going to show up? Are they intentionally going to talk to you in technical jargon to make things even more stressful and confusing?
NOPE--Not with the Voltron Crew sent to me! I felt so taken care of by Beale, Jason & Derick's explanations, diligence, & efficiency. They provided individualized service & total care. Although home repairs are not so fun...I look forward to utilizing their services again. Highly recommended.

Once again I needed KD Electric for an emergency panel upgrade after an arc flash incident. They responded quickly, professionally, and with good care for what we were dealing with. Special shout out to Gloria, who was very accommodating despite the short notice.

The crew that came to my home was once again professional, 2 of the 3 had been to my home for the previous electrical emergency and all were excellent guys.

You have a good group of people over at KD and you should all be pretty damn proud of yourselves for your conduct and workmanship.

We had a panel that the HOA controls got out on us. The owner came out and diagnosed the problem without charging us a dime.

Also had them come out to install GFCI outlets and thermostats to bring my place up to code before selling. Once again these folks did excellent work and bent over backwards to stay within a quoted budget which they were $200 bucks under.

I'm moving to Florida soon and wish I could take these guys with me. Never had anything but excellent experiences with them.

Great communications prior to job, showed up on time, very professional on site, finished in a timely manner, work product was great. They have done multiple jobs at our property and they will be the first electrical contractor I call for future jobs.

Installers were early. Did a clean installation of the 220 plug we needed for our new electric stove. Very satisfied with everything. Definitely would recommend to friends and family for their homes.

We gave KD electric an ambiguous job of “tripping circuit breakers” and they showed up a little late from another job, but in force with 3 guys who all knew what they were doing. They figured out what we, as amateur electricians could not after 3 days, in about an hour and a half. Nice guys, to the point, and they got the job done well. Recommend using KD.

They reconnected our Hot Tub after it was changed out and did an outstanding job as always. Cleaned up after the work was done. Highly recommend them for any electrical job.

Incredible professionals, customer service pros! The two men who came out were efficient, professional and really great people to work with. They really care about the job, the people they are servicing and work quality! KD Electric is not only my forever "go to" Electrician, but I will make sure my clients, friends and those in my network know about these Pros!

The really incredible thing today was that not only did they do what we wanted, but they told us that the other project we wanted was not practical...How about that!!! No rip off...honesty to the max...Wow!

Damon, the owner, has been responsive, fair, and customer oriented. He and his crew performed the work in a timely fashion. They informed me of issues and asked me about my choices as the work progressed. They left as small a footprint as was reasonably possible, considering the construction obstacles left by the original (1987) construction crew. I will absolutely utilize KD again for a future project.

I used this company again for ceiling fan install and bath exhaust fan install. Timeliness was somewhat lacking. What was supposed to be a one day job turned into a 4 day job because of the weekend. Original job was on Thursday and crew was to return on Friday about 9-10am after “small” job on Friday. No call no crew all day. Received call in afternoon that crew hit tied up on the “small” job from the morning. Crew would return Monday to finish. In meantime I had to live with mess, disarray and plastic sheeting in bathrooms. Was told crew would return at 10am on Monday. No crew once 10am arrived. Called office and was told crew would be here at 1230. I think the “small” job on Friday and whatever job they were working on Monday should have been postponed in order for my job to be completed. The fair approach would have been to delay the other jobs because they were scheduled AFTER my job. My job was delayed TWICE in favor of other jobs that were started after my job.

These guys know what they are doing. They do service work (fix my home electrical issues) as well as do big project electrical work. They measure twice and cut once, get the job done efficiently. I highly recommend them for any residential or commercial project you have. Damon and his team have great customer service and follow through with what they say they will do.

We’ve worked with Damon and his crew with everything ranging from extensive electric panel repairs to repairing faulty wiring from the previous owner to installing recessed lightning.

What I love about KD Electric is that the crew is filled with problem solvers. They are friendly and professional of course, but when they run into snags they don’t ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and walk away. They figure things out. They are going to be more expensive up front, but they will be far less expensive in the long run when their quality holds up. In the odd circumstance where you need their support on something they installed, they’re ultra quick to respond.

Only critical feedback is that they don’t do any drywall repair work. But then again, they are specialized in exactly what we hired them to do, which is high quality electric work.

Amazing service by this team! Everyone from the office folks to the on-site technicians was flawless and I would not go anywhere else for electrical needs. The particular job I had done on this occasion was to have some Ethernet ports installed into my basement due to Wifi being spotty down there. The team did the job quickly and exactly how I had hoped!

KD Electric is the best with Damon Hobbs at the helm. They are prompt, efficient and know their trade. They are my "goto" electric company from now on.
