Great price, solid technicians, installed in under 4 hrs…. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you. Ordered a 2 bay garage door $1800 cheaper than the competition.

They came they estimated 4k and that they couldn’t fix the garage door, or use it. Said that’s the only option.
Went to 2 different companies in Reno. Both gave quotes of 700 and they fixed it for 650. Using the same door. Why go to these people when they want to charge you almost 6 times as much.

I recently received a call from a representative who was extremely rude, insisting I owed money for a quote provided back in January. At no point was I informed there would be a fee for this service, and this is the first time I’m hearing about it—months later, in April. The lack of clear communication and the unprofessional manner in which this issue was handled is concerning, so I would advise caution if you choose to work with this company.

Their technicians are customer orientated and very knowledgeable. Shout out to Ken Mickey who always takes good care of our company. In all my years of using Thompsons Garage Door for all my needed repairs, I've only had one hiccup. I was not giving them the benefit of doubt they deserved afters years of perfect service. Thank you all for your service in our property management. You make us run efficiently.

Had an emergency issue with our garage door. Broken spring and carraige....could not even hand open the door and could not get car out! Called Thompson and they had someone out within the hour! Diagnosed issue and had all the needed parts (springs, carriage, etc.). Isaac and Antonio had the door fixed in less than an hour! I highly recommend Thompson Garage Doors!

Antonio and Izik saved the day! My garage door broke and these guys were able to get out here the same day. Thank God because my garage door would not close. Instead of some shady tactics that I've experienced from other companies and trying to upsell me, they were able to do a repair and were extremely honest with me about my options. I am so happy that less than an hour later my issue is fixed and I am able to open and close my garage door. I have been using this company for several years now since I bought my home and won't use anyone else.

I had a garage door opener installed and got no help connecting to the WiFi enabled app or programing the two remotes it came with or the LED remote light also. I had to figure it out myself, with this company you are on your own getting all the high tech features to work this opener comes with.

I was told by several other companies that I needed a new garage door and it would cost thousands (the lowest price I got was $4k). Thompson sent out their tech, Antonio, same day and he took one look at it and said he could fix it no problem. One hour later he was done. He did a great job and only took $300 of my money. Great operation with great techs.

This is the place to call, I came home to a broken garage door spring at 2:30 and called a few companies that could only come out the next day or longer. I called Thompson and they had a tech here within an hour, they replaced both springs for a very reasonable price and were done by 4pm. Highly recommended this local company, honest and great service! I had another company do the servicing of it over 3 years ago and they wanted 2 1/2 times the cost that Thompson charged to replace the springs!

20 STARS OUT OF 20 for Thompson technician MIGUEL for the services he performed at my home in Carson City today, 8/12/2024!! He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient! He listened carefully to my explanation of my garage door woes, quickly identified the technical problem, and installed replacement parts on the spot. He then proceeded to perform routine maintenance in a prompt, workmanlike manner.

Had an issue with my garage door. Guys came out at 430 on a Friday and got it fixed super quick. Honest and didn't try to upsell me on anything. Would highly recommend.

We got home from the grocery store last night around 6 pm and upon trying to close our garage had a cable uncoil on one side of our garage door. We spent the next 30 minutes trying to just get the door to close so we could deal with it the next day but that didn’t work. We just moved into our house and noticed this businesses sticker so we called their emergency line. Within 30 minutes the tech was there and within 40 minutes of his arrival it was fixed and inspected. Such fantastic service!! Would highly recommend.

I needed a new garage door opener. I went to their office on a Saturday to see what was available and what schedule they offer. A young lady helped me and seemed very knowledgeable. I was please to know they offer Saturday appointments. My appointment was set for 2 weeks out with an 8am-10am window. The service was expected to take 2-3 hours. They called the day before to confirm and showed up at 7:57am the next day. The technician was very friendly and appeared knowledgeable as well. The time to complete the project was close to what was mentioned. It was a great overall experience. On a side note, they have a billboard up right now that just says Merry Christmas. Not trying to sell anything, just giving good wishes. That was cool to see. Thank you

Lost business because Melanie is too distracted to answer a few questions and also likes to speak over their customers and was unwilling to give any advice other than come in come in come in I know the size of my door and I know the type of door I want why is this one door company so difficult to get an estimate from her solution was to patch me through to a phone that rings endlessly. I posted about my experience with Thompson Doors a year ago, but I see it has been deleted! I ordered a pantry door, a barn door and a sliding glass door with a a doggie door in it! The pantry door was perfect! The barn door was marked up with all kinds of dings which I had to hire a handyman to come and sand and paint only to find out that the installer installed it upside down! I refused to take the slider because the guy who came to do the measurements (which btw was very short with me) measured the opening wrong and the installer would have had to cut into my walls to make it fit! I would NEVER recommend Thompson Doors to anyone!!

I'd give them 10 stars if that were an option. Garage door tension spring snapped over the Labor day holiday and I was on a short window to get it fixed; they were out bright and early on Tuesday/today and got it done with a quickness!! Very much appreciated and cant say enough about their professionalism! I do definitely recommend Thompson Garage Doors.

We live in Hawthorne and we were happy to hear that they would come serve our area. We called on a Monday and they were here on a Wednesday at the appointment time. The gentleman was kind and courteous. Did the job in one trip and it was done correctly. We are extremely happy with our experience.
We had called some other companies that claimed it would take more then one trip to complete the job and it would be weeks before they could get to us.

Love their service. Always come out quick and very fairly priced. Very friendly people on the phone as well as the service techs.

update: thompson reached out and were here today. Apparently the lock that was installed doesn't allow door to be opened from the inside. it is a universal lock. Just something we will have to get use too.

thompson installed my garage door. approximately 8 months ago, we had them put in new hardware. recently I had to place a service call because my key quit working. I explained this when I placed the call. the tech who came, removed the hand guard on the inside, shaves the screws and tells me it is fix. I was charged 128.00 for this. we used the door and the key would not lock the door again. today new tech comes over ends up replacing the lock and telling me he is not going to charge me for it. in my opinion I should get a refund for the 128, because there was a defect in the lock they originally installed. so my husband has come home and checked the work. we now have problem. when the garage is locked from the outside, you can not open from the inside and you have to go back outside to unlock it so you can open from the inside.

My garage door broke a spring over New Year’s Weekend. I called Thompson Garage Doors Monday, Jan. 3rd at 0800 hrs. They had a Technician arrive at my house 30 minutes later. He replaced both garage door springs. He made the necessary calculations and adjustments to insure the correct replacement springs were installed and functioning properly. My garage door opens/closes so quietly and smooth now. Thank you Thompson Garage Doors.

Thompson installed my New doors last Saturday. they did a fantastic job, the doors are beautiful. Antonio adjusted my existing door and fixed it perfectly. I was told by others that I needed a new door, new garage floor, new rubber sweep etc when all it needed was a simple adjustment. He was the best. Everyone was very polite and clean through out the installation.

Antonio was very competent and professional. We had an ugly failure at 5:30 PM, we were back in business by 6:30 and the rate seemed fair. Once again, Thompson saved the day. If you're looking for a quality service to use for garage door work, this is them.

I think Thompson Garage Doors is marvelous! The service is always spot on, and the people are very professional and friendly. My only suggestion to Thompson is to let your customers know before you go through the whole process of ordering a new garage door that it will be 10 to 12 weeks before the door will be shipped. After spending an hour with the service technician (who was terrific) ordering, choosing, measuring, and paying half of the 3500 dollars, I received a call the next day to let me know that it had been ordered and that it would be ten to twelve weeks before it would be shipped. At that point, I could have said No, but I still need the door. I understand COVID delays or any other reason; I would have liked it if they told me before the process started. Otherwise, the experience, as always, was great!

I called yesterday 3/25 and they were unable to get me in to replace my garage door opener for another week but to my surprise they called me the next day 3/26 and came and replaced my old garage opener with a new one and did maintenance on my garage door also. They were quick, showed me what I needed to know about the new opener and were very friendly and professional. I would recommend Thompson Garage Doors from Sparks to anyone one! With prices now a days I feel they were very good and my garage opener should last for many years to come.

If you want poor work call thompson.
They broke block off of the face of my business and act like no big deal.
Would never call them again.

I will begin by saying that Mitch Sperling is wonderful to work with. We had new doors installed and they look beautiful. There were a couple of things we had to work out, but Mitch made sure it was handled and I trust him.

I brought in my chewed up door, they took some measurements, a week or so later the new door was ready and perfectly fit with my existing door hardware. Now if they trained dogs..

Antonio from Thompson Garage Doors repaired a broken spring, He was professional, friendly, and fast. After he finished with the spring repair he began working on the brackets that hold up the garage door opener. When I asked why, Antonio replied that the opener was set too high causing undue pressure on the system. When I thanked him for noticing, he replied: "That is what we do. We want the door repair experience to be the best for you". This was done at no extra charge. WOW is the word that comes to mind for this type of service!

Thompson Garage Doors is fast and reliable. The sell, maintain and repair all sizes of doors. They have helped Reno Buick GMC Cadillac and me personally on numerous occasions. I'm amazed at the quick response time and the work is always top quality.
