A load for shipping out of here is posted online for a 48 ft trailer I arrive with my 48 ft trailer forklift driver is a mean cookie, not knowing how much of the 48 ft of our trailer they need I left my tarps at the front end of my trailer as I was told by the office lady the forklift driver will let me know if that deck space is needed, we'll he didn't and lamely sets the first stack partly on the tarp over a ft backwards from front end of trailer then he tells me he can't fit the load onto the trailer he tells the plant manager and he is as mean as the forklift driver and agrees with him on to the broker they keep it going and pull the load from us and repost the load online for a 48 ft trailer as we were given the order to leave. It all happened so fast. I return the next morning on motorcycle to talk with the manager and make my case, he admits they could have loaded us and says come back we'll load you and if we want to we'll reject you again with a sarcastic unapologetic tone what looked like a feeling of satisfaction for the power he can exercise.
Currently filing a claim against broker for going along with the behavior without any verification that our trailer was less than 48 ft which is what they asked for on the load board, Protect the roads and make the trucking industry great again! fellow friend and enemy driver alike over and out.
None of the signs are accurate, aside from the hours 0700-1500, and first come first serve.
If delivering, go to shipping.
There is a receiving side with instructions to use a phone, which calls shipping, who tells you you're in the wrong place.
Earliest you'll start loading/unloading is 0730.
They'll have you pull into the building, flatbeds load/unload inside, vans pull through to other side and back into a dock.
Overnight parking, no issues.
Can drop trailer to go eat or shop. (I did)
Nice people, pretty quick unload time.
Sometimes the loading lines get a little long, but they try their best to keep things moving right along. I checked in a day early at 6:30 p.m. and they loaded me because they had a slow day (14 trucks on a Thursday and Friday was super busy for them 50 trucks). Mike, one of the nightshift forklift operators was great, what a super nice guy and perfect loader. I do wish the stacks were fully wrapped as one bundle, not two that are stacked on top of each other but it was fine. I believe loads over 700 miles need full tarps.
