This place was a life saver. We broke down outside of gallup and had the car towed here. Olly, the owner, worked on my car and communicated every step of the way with what he was doing and what the issue was. The ladies at the front desk were knowledgeable and kind! I'm so so grateful for everybody here.

We visited JN JA on Tuesday (6/9/25) without a firm appointment, but within minutes of our arrival, they were working to diagnose why our Motorhome’s air conditioning had abruptly quit while we were in route. They had seemingly zeroed in on a fuse as the culprit and had the AC running. We paid (a very reasonable amount) and headed down the road! Within blocks of the shop it quit. We returned and again, they immediately went to work on the problem. After a couple of repeats, my husband and I made a decision to keep on trucking and deal with just having the fan blower working (which was more than we’d had before)!

The major impression of this shop and its staff is that we could not have been treated any better as these folks were beyond kind and hard working. We couldn’t recommend them any more highly!

We brought our car to JN JA Autos because we were experiencing an engine power issue and also had a maintenance required light on, so we knew it likely needed an oil change.

While we were waiting to get a price for the oil and air filter change, they started the work without telling us. Only after the work had already begun did they inform us that the total cost would be $194.86 — which is extremely high for such a basic service.

To make matters worse, they added extra fees for not paying in cash, and this was never mentioned upfront. The entire experience felt dishonest and unprofessional.

After how they handled the oil change, we didn’t feel comfortable trusting them to diagnose or repair the engine issue, which was the main reason we came in.

We won’t be returning. If you value transparency and respectful service, I recommend going elsewhere.

Car broke down 20 north of Gallup, 2 different towing companies recommended JN JA as both quick and competent, the initial quote and time estimate they gave was lower but they found another issue and fixed it promptly. I was upset about this at first but realized that their quote was fair and apologized. They gave me a slight discount for the inconvenience. Overall this was a positive experience and I am particularly glad that they had experience with European cars, (I drive a Volvo) which many mechanics do not have

Had a water coolant pump replacement done today. The initial quote was 2 hours of labor at $95 an hour, which I agreed to. Imagine my surprise when the bill came to 3.7 hours! I dropped off my car at 2:30 PM and picked it up around 3:50 PM - barely over an hour. The excuse for the extra time? Apparently, two people worked on it. Seriously? One competent technician should be able to handle this job. While they did reduce the charge to 3 hours in the end, the attempt to inflate the bill and the ridiculous explanation were enough to ensure I won't be a returning customer.

If you have a budget the owner doesn’t care!

The service I got from the receptionist and the mechanics were great! I am traveling from Utah to WVa when my car unexpectedly broke down yesterday. Like Utah everything is closed. I advised the staff that I was on a budget and they told me they got me no worries. My mechanic even kept checking budget. Once the owner AJ came he made it clear that did enough for me and that my cost was $146 over budget. He required me to come up with payment and even though I needed to charge my phone so I can call and ask people for money. His response “figure out how to get in my car he’s not letting me in.” The couple that was in there the entire time with me are now worried they will be done the same way.

If you were truly sorry you’d not treated me as a common criminal and listened to the fact I had a budget period.

They fixed my Ford in only a couple of hours. These are great mechanics! Very friendly service too. If I ever break down in the area I know where to go now.

I’m satisfied with the service provided to fix the issues I was having with my headlights. Another shop in Gallup - Auto Works was unable to help me & actually caused more issues with my electrical. In regards to JN JA Autos, customer service was amazing. I worked with Sandra that day who was very friendly and they got me in & out in no time. I will return here in the future & recommend JN JA Autos for your vehicle concerns. Thank you again!!

While traveling cross country moving, my brother's truck broke down. Drove in from Texas after no luck in being able to locate a trailer to haul it home, took a chance on this company for repair. I was quite impressed with the friendly staff, willingness to help and be fair on the pricing. Understanding the predictament we were in with distance from home, they were very accommodating and worked on a solution to have us fixed up that day so we did not have to plan a second 13 hour trip back to pick up vehicle. This lead mechanic was showed kindness and compassion in wanting to help us. The office lady (sorry I am bad with names) was super nice and tried to assist us throughout. The assisting mechanics wasted no time in getting us back running. It's nice to see there are still great people out there willing to help. Thank you all!! From Washington to Texas.

My husband and I were traveling from FL to WA and on our way through Gallup, realized we had an issue with our rear track bar bracket (broken) on our Jeep. It was 2pm on a Saturday and JN JA got us in, fixed the issue, and on our way by 5pm THAT Day! And at a reasonable price. Great people and great service.

Our truck broke down in the middle of the night, and we literally limped 40mph to make it to Gallup otw home to CA. First thing the next morning, Ali and his team took care of us. Ali ran a diagnostic, fixed our truck, and had us on our way home in a couple of hours. You also did it with kindness and explained everything. We can't thank you guys enough for saving our anniversary weekend. We made it home to CA safe. Thank you, and God bless you guys.

My van broke down in gallup and we called jnja and they took it in the same day. But that wasn’t all, they loaned us a vehicle to get around in because they noticed we had a baby. if you ever break down there i would definitely give them a call

My buddy and I had a nasty brake problem and we showed up, unannounced and needed to get on the road immediately. Ali was amazing, got the truck sorted and had us up and running in no time! Thanks Ali!!!! You saved the day.

My sister took her truck in to get a diagnostic done because her ABS and TRACTION light were on and they told her it needed a WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY but they did not state which side needed it, so I called them ask about it, but the receptionist was very rude about it and she told me they have to do a diagnostic test again and charge her again for it to find out which side it is and that she already deleted the quote and receipt because they weren’t going do the job which I think is not true, as a busy I believe they have their receipts store in their computers so we will take our business somewhere else

My vehicle malfunctioned in this area during a winter storm. I was quoted $3k by some shop and so I called JN JA. I'm glad I did because they were able to get my car running for a lot less than that and I made it home safely. They also had a mechanic bring me my car when they were done with the repair. Being stuck in an unfamiliar place had my anxiety through the roof! I am extremely grateful that this shop was there to help me.

Shady ! I took my vehicle there and they gave me a price, an hour later they tell me more money. I had to pay $400. if i wanted my vehicle back. I had no choice but to have them work on my vehicle. And I still have the problem!!!

This place is great the owner is so nice well the owner is my auntie they host christmas party's every year the service is great would go again ❤️

I would love to give JA JA Auto's a better than 5 star review if I could. I was traveling cross country with my travel trailer in tow when my entire manual transmission broke, clutch and main cylinder. I pulled into JN's shop an hour before they closed for the day, hoping to just ask if I could get in the next day for a diagnosis. They got me checked in and started diagnosing the truck, and even had parts delivered and started work before they stopped for the day. They were very kind, and as important, more than fair in both pricing and all aspects of their mechanical and customer service.

They graciously let me park my trailer in their lot, and went so far as to unhitch it from the truck and set it up on blocks before I could even start or ask.

Throughout the process, they kept me informed of the progress and showed me issues that they had because of the age of my vehicle and the fact that there was lots of rust (I live in Wisconsin/winter salt/accelerated rusting). And yet, they worked efficiently and fast to get me back on the road in less than 2 days for the major repair. THANK YOU, all of you!

The best Auto Place ever. The owner Is very nice in fact she’s my aunty Very fast the price is somewhat Low. And then sometimes they host a Christmasmas party Last year I came and got some presents So you may want to go to this auto place

When I limped out of this repair shop with my rv after them replacing spark plugs and a $350 bill. Engine light still flashing. I was told my transmission was bad.
Thank God I didn't listen.
Found Foreign Speciality auto replaced the part and I was back on the road in an hr. for $105 with tax for labor.
6 hrs later, I arrived at my destination.
The only reason I gave 2 stars bc they were friendly and seemed trustworthy.

Just go to JN-JA Auto!! They are amazing! Friendly, courteous, affordable and quick! All the best qualities! We were on our way from AZ to TX and our van started leaking fluid and smoking. Looked up local mechanics and JN-JA came up with some pretty good reviews, and for a reason. I was skeptical but we didn't have many options and it was early Saturday morning so we waited an hour for them to open. We were In and out , all fixed up in 2 hours at a very affordable price. Totally worth it!

Trucks brakes seized up on a road trip passing through. Ended up need much more than brakes from what I was looking at. Got it towed to the shop and got quoted a very fair price. 4 hours later my truck is ready to finish the road trip! These guys are the best in the area!

My husband and I broke down in Gallup New Mexico, late on a Saturday we took our car to Firestone Sunday thinking problem would be fixed but it has not been. So we took it to jnja auto. They took there time figured out what was wrong even came to our hotel room to explain everything to us. Being broken down put a hole in our pockets and were even willing to let us make payments. Our vehicle went down while we was passing through and they went out of their way to get us back on the road me and my wife are very appreciative for the work they put into getting us back up and going if you're ever in Gallup New Mexico and have car trouble take your vehicle to them because they'll get you back on the road. They did a water pump, thermostat, and the timing system, even did a oil change at no charge for a great price.

The entire staff was knowledgeable and upfront on what they can do. They went above and beyond trying to find the best parts to get the car running. I found them on Google and their ad said walkins welcome, they had me in and out in no time. They are very friendly and treated us like family. I would recomend them to anyone. Let me start off by saying a big thank you to the staff at JN JA Autos. I had a compressor give out from a long road trip one weekend and they were ready to take it in to start work on it the next morning after compressor failure. Unfortunately my brother and I were pressed for time to make a flight in another state so I had to wait till the following weekend. I picked up a compressor from Autozone and drove back to JN JA to get it fixed. Why go back to the shop you ask? Because the cost of repair and recharge were the best I have heard from all other shops closer to my home #1. Secondly, they were willing to fix that same day if I had gotten there in time, which I didn't. They got to it next morning. The compressor I got was not the correct one. Katrina was able to call and get one in less than 30 min. She made sure that it was the correct one and the mechanics got on it right away. They were professional, polite, and quick. It makes me wonder why other garages can't get to business like JN JA Autos. I am looking to do more business with them in the future and feel confident in the work that they do. Keep it up JN JA Autos.

I broke down on the 1-40 on Gallop New Mexico. They recommend a tow company, and brought me over in about a hour. The very professional technician inspected my vehicle and recommended the repairs. And got the parts delivered in a timely manner. Then installed the parts and completed a road test. Then best of all the price for the labor and parts were very reasonable. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone with car issues.

This place is a great place to get your vehicle fixed. Honest people honest work. I recommend this shop for all your needs for your vehicle.

It can't be understated how absolutely awesome these guys are. I got stuck on a long ride by my car breaking down in Gallup and they got me back on the road again. They were friendly the entire time and professional. Very satisfied, if you need someone to save your bacon, these are the people.

We were very pleased with JN-JA Auto. We broke down 37 miles outside of Gallup, NM on our way home from a month long trip in our F150 truck camper. JN-JA got us in right away on Monday morning, diagnosed the issue which was we needed to replace the power torque rear axle, and found parts for us and ordered them immediately so they could perform the service as soon as the part was in. Katrina and Alicia were super helpful on the phone and at the desk to let us know about when parts would be delivered and when the truck would be ready. They finished quickly and got us back on the road. I’d highly recommend Ali and his team to help you with any car troubles.

The worst place ever, don’t bring your car at this shop! Even 1 star is a lot. I had an experience with these guys I brought my car here they said that I need to pay for parts in advance so I did and nothing. I was waiting for 2 months and I had to cancel the order cuz it’s been too long of waiting and even no info about timeframes. They are not going to refund my money that I paid for parts that I never had. What is more they charged parking fee for all the time my car was there waiting an “ordered” and paid in full part.

Headed east on i40 for Albuquerque, but auto trouble denied us, found this place and they got us on our way, highly recommend them, there is a shining light over this place!

My family and I are on our road trip home in our RV when it started to hesitate and break down. We pulled into this facility and the owner helped us right away. He we didn’t have to wait for service. Good service at a good price!

The transfer case on my truck went bad traveling do i90 just passed Gallup and the wrecker driver who also was a great guy to deal with and highly recommended if you need a tow (speedway towing) any way he brought me to JN JA Auto and these guys were on the spot to get me back on the road everyone was awesome to deal with very nice and professional even gave me a loaner car to use while I waited and discounts on motels since I had to wait for parts. I you break down in the area I would highly recommend you get towed to this shop !

Best service experience that I have ever had and I am in the service industry myself. Travelling for vacation with my son from Albuquerque to Las Vegas, NV and noticed while gassing up in Gallup, our radiator blew out all the anti-freeze all over our engine. Randomly looked up shops and chose JN JA. Everything from start to finish was "top-notch". We thought our trip was doomed, but Ali kindly greeted us and put us at ease. He found the issue (hole in radiator stem) and the part (radiator) very quickly and quoted us a very reasonable price. Mind you, we just popped in, yet they helped us immediately that morning. The lady in the office was very friendly and offered us fresh coffee and they gave us a loaner car to go have breakfast somewhere! When we returned from breakfast, I saw my truck outside the shop and thought something might be wrong, but it turned out that it was already done and ready to go! Ali even cleaned the engine bay. These people were so lovely and professional and they turned a potential bad situation into an awesome experience in the end. I can't say enough good things about JN JA Auto and the staff. They saved our trip and I was still thinking of them and mentally thanking them, every time we did an acitivity on our trip.

I was driving my used van across country when my water pump went out. I'm so grateful that they were able to get me in that day and even stay late to make sure the job was done right (needing to replace another part). My van now runs better than ever. We were on a long distance trip when we had some serious car trouble. We took the nearest exit and found Jn Ja Autos - thank goodness! Ali diagnosed the problem immediately, ordered parts and did all the repairs to get us back on the road. Because we needed to spend the night in town, Ali let us borrow a car. All the work was completed efficiently and at a fair price. It is never good to have car problems when traveling but Ali’s service and knowledge could not have been better - thank you!

While caravanning with our daughter who was moving cross country, her car limped into Gallup. Up early to find a mechanic on a Saturday. First three we tried were closed. We drove up to JN JA Autos on Route 66 just as they were rolling up their doors, and we are so glad we did! Truly nice and friendly! Set us up with coffee in the waiting area. Thorough check of the car and quick honest diagnosis. They obtained the required part and completed the repairs in record time, and the cost was extremely reasonable. They even unloaded and reloaded the back of the car to get to where they needed for the repairs! Definitely above and beyond!
