American Steel Carports did an excellent job on our 4 bay carport with roll up doors. The building materials were of high quality. The workers were extremely polite and very hardworking. They worked efficiently and with attention to detail. We definitely got our money's worth and the state building inspector even commented on how nice the building is. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Delivered much sooner than promised! The guys did an incredible job getting it square and exactly as I wanted it.. They worked through the heat all day and did an excellent job cleaning up. If I could nit pick it a bit, I would say that I would have liked the whole frame to be hot dipped galvanized but, they had to modify it to fit the way I wanted and that made it necessary to cut it and cold spray galvanize those areas. I would highly recommend them!

Very happy with the job we had by American steel. Once we finally got through permitting the process with American steel was super quick and the installers were the hardest working guys I’ve ever seen. We are in construction and would love to have a crew like this on our team.

Very efficient crew, installed 12x24 foot metal shed up and done withing 5 hours. only issue was the site was left with sheet metal screws all over the site. I will use them again

very good excellent job I guess my only complaint is a week later There was a heavy rain and one of the window leaks like crazy. I called to ask if there was any kind of warranty and they said they only covered oxidation other than that the building is great.

The crew came in put up our building. Cleaned up after themselves. We were informed on scheduling, and updated appropriately. Very nice experience.

This place is a scam they took my $508 deposit and then never received my carport they do not refund and required a permit in a zone that does not require permits for garages. In addition to multiple charges on my acct for processing and now zoning fees I am out hundreds of dollars. Michelle is very unprofessional if she wanted to keep people’s business she would be more up front about fees and time frames of delivery. They told me approx 2-3 weeks when I purchased this over the phone and then changed it to up to 6 weeks with no guaranted delivery date. If you want good fast service that’s reliable I would choose Eagle carports!

American Steel did our garage and they did an excellent job!! It was a 24' x 40' building and they completed it in 1 day. The work was great and the materials were good quality. We would definitely recommend them.

Overall a great company. Maybe a little pricier but the building is sturdy and they were pretty easy to work with. The installers were amazing, did great work and cleaned up nicely.

Pros: American Steel Carports dealer did a greats job. He really went the extra mile.

American Steel was good to work with. I had a complicated project. The guy who made the estimates worked really hard to understand what I wanted to do. He made great suggestions. His estimates were accurate.

The installation crew was beyond outstanding. They saw what I was tring to do. Especially with putting the carports (lean to) next to an existing building. They did an incredible job matching the roofs where they needed to be. Can't say enough good about these guys.

Cons: The welcome lady is no salesman. When she called it was, we can't do this, we can't do that. I got so scared I cancelled my deposit until I got my warm fuzzy back (thank you estimate guy).

The lean to's were on sale. 20% off if you spent $20,000. Something like that. However, they forget to mention the discount is 'per building'. Not the total order. That left a bad taste in my mouth. Only got 10% off on two lean to's and no discount on the small lean to.

The small building was not built to the dimensions ordered. That was not good. The installer did a great job making it work. I preferred that over having American Steel take the materials back and returning with the correct dimensions. American Steel was good about discounting my keeping the incorrect one. I did really appreciate that.

Bottom LIne: I'd do business with American Steel again. The product is very good quality.

Overall, a great experience having 3 horse shelters built. The crew was professional, organized and done with the project in 2 days. They didn't leave a mess for uss to clean up either.

I had a great experience! The crew showed up when scheduled and did a great job putting my building up! The only issue I had was they sent out the wrong man door but they made it right by adjusting the final payment!

I had a leak in the roof over my attached lean-to on my garage. Luis & his crew repaired quickly, and has not leaked since their visit. Thanks for the great service!!

Our sales representative was great, willing always to answer questions and get us the right building we wanted. We were contacted as soon as our building was ready to ship. Showed up right on the date we had set up. Was erected in one day, with a team of hard working guys, even tho it was 97F out. Overall, we are happy with American Steel products.

Little difficult to get certain answers from supplier directly. Some questions could be answered from supplier and some had to be ran through the dealer. Design element was easy and straightforward. Had to make an adjustment to my door opening placement and that didn’t reflect when the installers showed up. Was told I would hear from a supervisor on making the adjustment on site (didn’t happen) so install crew was here waiting around for awhile. Installers were great for the most part with the exception they placed a man door opening too small for the roof so I had to fix it after contacting manufacturer about the issue with no response. Putting up 3 more buildings soon and probably will go with a different company.

It took 4 months to get a crew to erect the building. None of the workers spoke any English. The ladders they were using were too short. When they were raising the trusses, they used a long piece of square steel, which once they were lifting the trusses they would drop on the concrete causing divots in the concrete. They did seem to know what they were doing in spite of their short ladders. I dislike that my 12' × 18' garage door comes down all at once. I don't believe it is adjusted well.

This company is great. I wasn't ready for over 6 months and they were very patient. once, they got here to put it up, it only took them 2 days. One of the rollup doors was broken, so they came back the next week and replaced it. I would give them an A+

I placed the order over 2years ago for two carports. A deposit was made for both but never got the second deposit refunded. One was delivered over 6 months after purchase and multiple contacts questioning delivery. The delivery workers themselves were kind and efficient. At that delivery time support beams were ordered by phone and workers assured me they would be delivered. No support beams ever received. Again multiple contacts questioning delivery made. No response. The second order was received and made incorrectly and I refused it. I was told it would be replaced with correct measurements. No response and nothing received. I was told second deposit was non refundable. Months later, I then received a threatening letter telling me I would have to pay for second order. I refused stating nothing was received. Now they want this review. I would not recommend them ever. Buyer beware!

Ordering was OK, price seemed to be good( had a sale on).
Communication was as expected, and delivery went well.
I opted for no installation, since I’m pretty handy. I was expecting a set of instructions, which was promised, but not delivered. The gent that delivered, gave me a quick 10 minute “how to”. After contacting the company to complain about the lack of any type of instruction, I was sent a sheet of engineering specifications, which wasn’t what I needed and not what I asked for.
The materials seem to be substantial. The main posts and beams are made in India, which historically doesn’t produce the best steel. We shall see the durability of it.
From here on, I will have to “McGyver” it.
Instructions should be available for us DIYers, especially when they were promised, twice.

They have an amazing product. Well made. Installation crew was great. The only issue I had was when I asked for the engineering plans for permits after the structure was built they charged me $3200 for plans. Twice the amount of $1600 it would have cost me if I got when the building was installed. I don’t think that was fair. I just wished they would have worked with me on the price.

Other than the mathematical errors in the purchase and having to add 1600 over the balance due on the contract I am pleased with the building and the install crew was amazing. VERIFY THE PURCHASE AMOUNT, they are great at scheduling not so much on returning calls or emails

Very nice and extremely solid carport! I should have done this years ago! Our cars and trucks are huge investments, and owning one of these carports are a must to properly protect your investment!

From the time I inquired about pricing to the final walk, American Steel was informative, professional and courteous. Very good on updates on info for permitting and construction timing. Everyone I interacted with was very helpful. The price was great and I am very happy with final product. 30x30 boat shed. Highly recommend!

We ordered our carport from a 3rd party vendor. The vendor was very knowledgeable and came to the house to measure and worked with us to get the colors and details that we wanted. The crew that installed our carport was very professional and friendly. We are very pleased with the quality and installation.

The planning would be 1 star, customer service would be 1 star. Installation crew are FIVE star. Our experience was long and ruff at first. When things got to the Gallup office things started moving along. The on site building crew acted professionally with attention to detail and should be proud of their work. The manager kept his promises and kept us informed.

I received carport within schedule time I was given. The installation crew came right away after delivery. They got it installed in a day. I believe they did a good job. We have had some strong winds since installation and it is still standing tall.

Purchasing through dealer was fairly easy. Design of garage seemed easy as door locations snapped into place with software provided. It took 5 months to schedule a crew to deliver and erect the building. Problems arose immediately when it was discovered that the manufactured steel did not match the foundation, which was built to plan. Crew also had problems framing in entry door due to software snapping door location right next to stuctural. Some quality control by the structural engineer and a suggestion to shift the door location 6" would have solved this issue. One of the overhead doors was delivered damaged and had to be replaced causing an additional delay. A 3-4 day build turned into weeks. Despite the issues and delays, the building appears a solid structure made with quality materials. I would suggest a thorough review of structural design if ordering from American Steel.

Awesome experience with American Steel Carports on the purchase of our 20' x 20' x 8', two car carport. Dealer was very knowledgeable, and communication with ASC was outstanding. They helped us through the permit process (provided generic engineered drawings) and once permit was granted, the installation was very expeditious. Installers were professional and attention to detail was outstanding. Highly recommend ASC!

Very happy with my American Steel building. I chose them mostly because of cost and am not disappointed with the outcome. My building is 30x45x16 and was completed December 2024. There were a couple issues on my part but American Steel helped me through them and never asked me to pay anything extra. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about a steel building for a great price!

The crew assembled the bldg quickly. Very polite & communicated well to us what was expected & any decisions we needed to make. They cleaned up after the job very thoroughly.

Terrible communication, was rescheduled 3 times then crew never arrived as told, took 3 weeks of constant calling and leaving messages. Lied to about said crew. Finally got a crew on site, they only had 2 men .
Took 3 times longer than what I was told.
Building was erected and was satisfactory.
Took them another 5 weeks to request payment.
Very well priced, but not worth the Terrible customer service.

The ordering process here in town was good, the actual construction was good and the structure seems well built and stood up well to the last big wind storm we had with 70 mph gusts, there were two really big problems, 1- it took forever to get the structure, I think more than two months between the time I ordered and the time it arrived 2- the construction crew left screws and shards of metal all over my driveway, posing a real threat to tires and feet. I called the office and asked them to come clean it up, it hasn’t happened yet…. I’ve personally picked up loads of screws and metal shards. I keep finding more sad your company doesn’t require your crews to clean up after themselves

Terrible do not do business with this company if you value customer service after the sale. Communication is terrible. After my build date was pushed back multiple times. Then after the work was finally started the crew said they could not work the rest of the week because of wind even though the mornings were calm with little to 0 wind until the evenings. When they did show back up they did a rush job in the wind all day til 9:00 pm. And wanted an inspection in the dark. One of the days they said they will return no one showed. So i started calling the office. And was told well they wont be there today because they're taking another building down somewhere else. But they did end up showing up at 2:20pm, while i was at work 30 miles away. By that time my dogs had been let out and i could not leave work just to put them back. Started calling the office again and was offered nothing but excuses. So please save your self the headache and find someone else for your building.

Was very amazed with the company quality service quality products and a good price was lucky enough to get the end of the year discount the installer Sergio Rivas and his crew were very great workers I don't know how they put up the building the last two days we've had 50 to 70 mph winds and they still installed the whole building and nobody was missing an arm LOL

We love our new garage and where we live, it's incredibly hard to get there with a trailer, but these guys made it work!

All went great. Good deal for the cost. Really working out good for me. The 2 men that have installed it did great quick cleaned up and done. I only wish the cuts at the bottom would have been a little better bu overall very happy and pleased with my new garage!

My panels are two different colors. There is large scratch on back of building. The seems on insulation are not taped so there were large gaps. Customer Service will not respond after repeated attempts. Would not recommend at this time.

Update as of 03-04-2025. ASC agreed to replace the panels visible with discoloration. There was much back and forth with them reluctantly saying they would repair in 6 weeks. I waited 6 weeks. Had to call again after 6 weeks , now saying an additional 3 weeks.

They finally made it right. I am satisfied with the extensive repairs. I am still put off by the way they handled the situation. This could have been handled much better.

A bit of miscommunication on the install date but otherwise a very good experience with the company. The crew came out the first day and worked from sun up to sundown, And then finished it on the second day. Hector and his crew were efficient and always moving. I would definitely get another building from this company if I ever need one.

Overall good experience, mostly with the local dealer in Las Cruces.
I was unsatisfied with the time delay from my order to when the install was done. In fact it wasn't until I called to cancel that my install was scheduled.
The installers also broke several branches on a small ornamental tree next to the install site that my wife wasn't too happy about.
The structure looks good!

We had a very good experience with purchasing our new garage with American Steel carports. It was a long process on both ends but it is up and it is nice and they did a great job. The only thing I can say is just customer point of contact was a little slow.

Very nice building and great company to work with. They are very responsive and get back to you with all your questions.

I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 because the structure, itself, is nice and solid.

However, it took a couple of months and something like 10-15 phone calls to get it fully constructed.

The installers came out and would have finished the construction in two days. However, at the end of the second day, the workers informed me that they were missing 4 panels and couldn't complete the building.

So they left and the bottom 3-4 feet of the building on both sides was left open and uncovered. You could see straight through the building from side-to-side.

The original crew came back a few days later to finish it, but they didn't bring enough material (again). They brought 3 of the 4 panels, one of which was damaged, and none of them were the correct thickness (I paid extra for the heavier steel siding due to heavy winds in my area).

So they left without installing anything. A couple of weeks later, half of a work crew showed up and finished putting on the siding, but said they didn't have time to install the final door. The finished siding they installed had several 1" wide gaps in it as well.

Finally, about 6 weeks after the initial crew started the building, another full crew came out and finished the building. They re-installed the sides and corners to correct the partial crew's mistakes and installed the final door.

After they left, the building looked great and is nice and solid.

So, if you're willing to put up with the mistakes and delays of management, it will likely eventually result in a nice, solid building.

I am satisfied with the complete process. There was no pressured to sign. The wait time for the install was a tad longer than expected, but the installation was to my satisfaction. Thanks.

We had issues with preparing our property for installation. Trenches being dug and waiting on contractors to complete their parts. American Steel was very patient and understanding as our project kept putting off installation. When we were ready, the carport installers came and they were great and quick. Very professional! Would recommend highly!

First experience with American Steel was great but once the building arrived to the property we were beyond amazed of how Jorge Cerda and his crew from El Paso Tx worked, him and his crew exceeded our expectations!
Always on time and Communication skills were always on point. They were very professional and their work was extremely clean and neat.

I took away a star and gave four stars only because of one thing that's definitely a problem, they don't seal nor does it come with a seal around the garage, The only so they put is around the garage door, everywhere else you're going to have to caulk with silicone everywhere because a lot of dirt and dust gets in there, it's cool that they can enclose carports to garages but it's not cool that they don't seal around and it's a big inconvenience to have to pay that much money and then going by other extra materials yourself, what I feel that they should at least have some kind of material to seal it up, people had asked me and I had brought business to this company, but I think they need to figure this part out and also they left a whole bunch of screws on the floor in the dirt and I have to pick them up before they puncture my tires.
The guy showed up about 1:30 in the afternoon and finished as the night came in, I think they should have gave a little bit more time to building my garage.
