The jacksonville branch of this company is NOT who you should hire for your roofing needs.

They hired a team of roofers with zero experience in metal roofing and recommended a steel roof on my house that was 100 yards from a salt water river. The skylights were placed over (incorrectly) the steel roof and we had waterfalls of water coming in through them into our attics and rooms on the first day it rained after being "completed". The crew damaged our pool motor and an air conditioner with both having to be replaced. When we asked for the job to be corrected with an aluminum roof and a team experienced with metal roofing, we were denied. we were also told if we brought a lawsuit, they would countersue for the 50% of their fees we did not pay, because of the egregious failures and damages.

Had to have a legitimate company remove and repair all the damage to our home, and then install an aluminum roof (as should have been recommended by J&M).

Even if they can place a decent shingle roof, the ethical and morally correct thing to do when asked if they are able to install a metal roof is to say: NO. We do not have experience in this at all. These are the companies that we recommend for a metal roof.

* Legal action was not unsuccessful. no lawsuit was filed, because J&M threatened to bring a countersuit which would have required hiring an attorney at great cost to us, the individual, and minimal cost to J&M, the company, to bury us in legal fees.

* J&M's insurance does not cover faulty work and deflected liability onto the sub-contractors they hired. J&M could not locate or contact these sub-contractors for them to be held liable.

* This was NOT a manufacturing issue. This was choosing the lowest bidder to perform work that required a skill level & knowledge beyond them. Anyone looking for a metal roof from J&M would be wise to review these photos. This is a failure in ability and craftsmanship. And an inappropriate choice of materials. NOT a manufacturing issue.

Nothing but professionals here. My very old grandmother needed work done and I always get worried someone might take advantage of her. They were kind, respectful, and did a good job at a fair price. Big ups to J&M

I had James knock on my door, offering information about J&M Roofing. I usually never entertain such solicitations, but I’m glad I did.

My roof was 15 years old, and I hadn't noticed some shingle damage caused by a storm. James climbed up, took pictures, and, as it turned out, the damage was covered by insurance. He guided me through the entire claims process, making everything seamless. I couldn't have been happier. J&M handled the roof replacement, and James kept me informed throughout the process.

Fast forward a year and a half later, and I noticed two small ceiling leaks from a hurricane. I texted James, and he responded immediately with all the answers I needed. He even had his boss come out to inspect the roof. They found the source—wind-blown rain had entered—and they fixed it on the spot at no cost.

I would recommend J&M Roofing to anyone in need of a new roof. I especially recommend James—he’s the real deal when it comes to getting things done.

J&M was the only service that not only responded quickly after the recent storm but worked to squeeze me in to get the repair work I needed done in the same week - before more rain came our way, which was what I needed most. My repair was a small job, one that many others would pass up or would say could wait, but Garrett said they would do it, as it was the right thing to do, and he got the crew scheduled. Work was done efficiently and professionally; looks to be a quite solid work product as well. Garrett was very communicative during the process, callling me to update on the schedule, etc. He was incredibly decent and respectful. This is a company that cares to do the right thing. October 24, 2024 update - I just wanted to provide an update post Hurricane Milton. The work that J&M performed to reinforce the fascia held fast and steady through Hurricane Milton. I greatly appreciate that J&M made it a point to fit me in to complete the repair work after Hurricane Helene and before Hurricane Milton to ensure no further damage externally or internally to my home. J&M reinforced the fascia as it had not been before (it had come off twice before in storms) and clearly what they did worked. Thank you again J&M! I would highly recommend J&M for all of your roofing needs! Experts that are there when you need them.

My mother had her roof replaced about 3 1/2 years ago. Since the roof has been replaced, there has been 4 leaks detected. Cannon comes out, assesses the damage and then a crew comes out to patch the roof. Cannon has been called and has made appointments to come out to reevaluate the patched repairs, but usually does not show up at the appointed times. When he is called, he consistently does not answer or return messages. At this point, I would think the company would take some responsibility, honor their warranty and replace the roof. It is obvious that the initial replacement was faulty.

***She actually has contacted your office. I even contacted the office and left a message for the regional manager of the company. But, I am not surprised that she has not heard anything back. Cannon has come out to assess the 4th leak. It is just a cycle that seems to repeat itself.

Brandon was amazing from helping us with our roof claim, to meeting with claim inspectors, to assisting us in selecting the most high quality and elegant roofing materials available! What a knowledgeable worker! And Brandon inspects the roof like a super-hero, fearlessly climbing about the roof air, expertly noting every issue with the inspector and for the benefit of home owners.

And speaking of workers, the roofing crew was nothing short of extraordinary! This Herculean team works as a hive, each knowing the other’s responsibilities, seamlessly cooperating with one another for the good of the customer and the job. The roofers are effective, efficient, and polite. It was a pleasure having them at our property. (Even at the end of a long day, the roofers were still smiling, courteous professionals.)

This company is educator and military friendly. They are patient as you are getting your funds together, as this is challenging when both owners exist in different countries, and things like Power of Attorney, differing time zones, and distance are involved.

I would like to recognize Kevin Baptiste from J&M Roofing. In April we had a tornado touchdown in our neighborhood and our home was in its path. Shortly after the storm subsided is when Kevin asked if there was anything he could help with. Within a couple of hours he had his company up on roof covering the damage. He met our insurance adjuster and walked the roof with him to make sure we were all on the same page. Kevin made sure we understood the process, was there during and after the whole roof was replaced. He made the process seamless during an uncertain time. Information after the job was done not so much. Information since then was conflicting what i was initially told.
Roof was finished 9jan23 and still no COC. I called the rep 1mar23 and he told me because they didn’t have my email address they were unable to send it to me.
1) my email address is on the contract I signed prior to work being started
2) he has my phone number , why no call if needed my email.
Also different stories when final payment was due.
Bad way to do business.
Also put his sign in my yard without my Permission
So now you say you mailed the COC
Odd your billing department told me they mailed two invoices to me. Which I never received , and a COC I never received
Three pieces of mail missing , I don’t think so.
Need to get honest , honesty goes a long way.
