We came in today looking for pipe fitting and had a rough time going to 4 different stores and couldn’t find what we needed. A store employee named Kurt found us and asked if we need help. With his smart thinking he founded a solution to our problem and found the fittings we needed to make things work. Highly appreciative of Kurt and his now how!

Update: their website is always wrong. Always says they have 3 or 4 items you need in stock, and this is the third time I've been in the store and they don't have any. Definitely not going to be stopping here on my way home anymore.

Been here a few times and everything is so organized, also the employees have always been super helpful. Recently had an employee, Stephanie, show me around and showed me great deals. She was very friendly as well!

Awesome customer service, clean stores. I prefer to spend my money at locally owned businesses and this place has never let me down. I pass up my local ace to to support these guys!! I dont mind spending a few more bucks on items that I know are superior quality compared to items carried in big box stores.

First time going there, probably not my last. All employees I encountered were nice and friendly. Store was well stocked and clean. There were things there I didn't know Ace was selling. I went to have a key made for my truck which they even programmed for me. I walked out spending more money than I had planned, but in a good way. Highly recommend checking them out.

Ace is usually the place that has the odd part the big box stores don't carry. They will go out of their way to ensure you can find what you are looking for and if they don't have it in stock can order it for you. The prices can be a little higher than in other places, but with a smaller footprint and large staff that isn't surprising. The last time I was in, the manager worked with me to find the right fittings for a tankless water heater to make sure my project went smoothly.

Assistance was given to me to find grass seed, and cut some cord. I was aided in getting that and other materials in the car as a disabled veteran. Great service, stay away from the big box stores and shop local.

Just like the West Point store BUT does seem to have a better selection of items.
Check out lines at both places are horribly slow.
Good luck finding anything, employees point you to an aisle and then leave you to find whatever on your own. Even after multiple requests for help

So surprised the prices on most of their things were pretty reasonable. Normally if you go to a neighborhood hardware you seem to have to pay more. Heck it's right around the corner and they have every color of spray paint you could ever need. We were doing some yard chairs and table and found the color we wanted. Will deffinately go for my next project.

Probably the best ace hardware that I have ever been in. Very new but well stocked and very large facility. Especially like the aisle with nuts, bolts, and other fasteners. Just about anything you could imagine and any material available. Staff was very helpful when I couldn’t find what I was looking for.

This is an awesome Ace Hardware store l. They actually hire people that know what they are talking about! Unlike the big box stores that have been slipping- especially post COVID. Every time we are in the area we stop in. Excellent BBQ section.

A super Ace Hardware store. The store was packed with items which were easy to access.
Store personnel seemed very knowledgeable and willing to assist. When I asked about an item, not only was I left to the item, but was asked if the item would work, but was offered alternatives just in case. Definitely a plus for Gloucester area !!!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
