I can't say enough great things about Dan with Horn Industries Roofing! I'm usually very skeptical and don't trust just anyone. Somehow, I ended up choosing Dan and I am so glad I did. Before I even chose Dan, he spent a week patiently answering my calls and texts, addressing my questions and concerns. His willingness to be so responsive and helpful, even before I made a decision, showed me the kind of dedication and professionalism he brings to his work.
After last years storms, a significant amount of damage was done to my rental home. I was completely unfamiliar with the insurance process and had no idea what to expect. Dan guided me through every step and made it easier than I imagined. What started as an overwhelming situation turned into a smooth and successful experience, all thanks to his patience and dedication.....I am NOT easy to work with.
Dan went above and beyond to ensure nothing was overlooked and I am so grateful. While I initially thought only my roof and siding were affected, Dan meticulously pointed out every detail to the adjuster, from my mailbox and garage door to my window screens and deck I had recently had stained but now needed retained. His thoroughness and dedication made a huge difference in getting everything properly assessed. It wasn't until this point I decided to move forward with Horn Industries.
Dan was there every step of the way, from the selection process to meeting me on-site while the work on my roof and siding was being done. Dan made sure everything was going smoothly and addressed any and every concern I had right away. He was also amazing at communicating with my renter, keeping her informed and addressing any concerns she had throughout the process as well. Extremely impressed with Horn Industries Roofing. We hired them to repair hail damage on our house and they made the entire process extremely easy. I am Thrilled and completely happy with the entire experience working with Jason Hopkins, Annie, the roofing team and Horn Industries this fall 2024 getting a new roof on my home!! My home was built in 1925 and I've lived there for 18 years. I have no way of knowing how old the roof was but let's just say I thought for sure it was end of life. When I searched for a roofing company a trusted friend of mine referred me to Jason Hopkins. He and Annie spent hours guiding me through this process. He was always just a phone call away when I had questions, even after hours. They put a new roof, new window wraps, new gutters and designed gutters on my long horse barn to empty into my horse tanks. It looks beautiful. I was wanting a black roof but scared a bit and Jason reassured me it would look beautiful and it does!! The work was done efficiently and the mess was entirely cleaned up!! After the storms over the summer I contacted Horn Industries to assess the damage I had. The very next day they were out to temporarily tarp the damage I had on the roof. After the adjuster made his recommendation to total the roof, they were out the next day to get measurements and made a material list. Within a few weeks the materials were delivered, and a crew was out promptly. They had a terrific crew that was very professional, no mess at all, and the roof looked outstanding. The best part about working with Horn was the administrative portion of the project. They worked directly with my insurance company and even found more damage than the adjuster initially found. Horn took care of all of that. It was a terrific experience.

Horn Industries Roofing was an excellent choice when I was effected by the storms earlier this year. A large tree fell on my home causing extensive damage to the roof and gutters. Horn was prompt at assessing the damage and worked directly with my insurance company. They went to battle for me when my insurance only wanted to pay for part of the damages. They were able to prove that the entire roof needed replaced and got it paid for without any out of pocket expenses from me other then my deductible. I really appreciated the transparency in what was being done and the quick responses to all of my questions. I highly recommend them for any roofing, siding or gutter work needed.

I've used Horn Industries and have been extremely pleased with the level of professionalism and honesty. Mike and team know the business, understand the situation, and handle every aspect of the insurance claim process needed to make times of distress, painless. My new house looked better than "New" due to the quality and effort they put into every aspect of the work they completed. I'd highly recommend Horn Industries for anything exterior. Mike and team have also conducted repairs to a small job during the last storm in less than 24 hours!

So here is my assessment synopsis. Horn Industries saved my house and my savings account. They know what they are doing, they know how to navigate the system (which is not in the homeowners favor), and they do quality work. Their communication was excellent, especially considering how much work they had going on following the weather disaster from summer 2021.

To begin with, my roof was about 19 years old and sustained significant damage over multiple wind storms in the past 12 months. I had a company out once, they did an uninspired inspection and told me I would need to pay out of pocket, no insurance. Summer 2021, another storm hits and this time a three huge areas of shingles were blown off my roof with more inclement weather expected. I had to buy emergency supplies and get up on the roof myself and cover before more damage came. The area was considered a disaster by the State of NE (remember when the power was out for days?) and clearly my roof was really damaged now.

So I filed a claim and State Farm sent me some of their selected contractors. At this point, I felt a roofing company could be objective and independent, so I went with their picks. The first team out (not Horn) inspected and said the same as what happened in April (no coverage, pay out of pocket). The second team out inspected slightly better and said that we had a "good shot" at getting it covered. I asked this company "If after the adjuster comes and this is denied, would they be willing to go to bat for me with State Farm?" , The 2nd company (not Horn) told me essentially "No" and "they don't want to bite that hand that feeds them."

After discussing with my agent and listening to her tell me how SF can't be expected to replace an older roof, I realized that this was pretty bogus and began looking for a quality roofer on my own. A friend offered up Mike Hornbacher and Horn Industries.

So, I met with Mike Hornbacher, Ray Bernal, and Ryan Newberg. They checked out my roof, documented it fully, and discovered all sorts of missed hail damage in addition to the wind damage.

State Farm brought out a disaster team from Colorado. After the adjuster came out, the 2nd team (not Horn) changed their story. I asked them what they now recommended and they said I should pay out of pocket with them as SF would not cover now (even before the adjuster delivered his report).

After realizing that the 2nd contractor was not willing to challenge State Farm for fear of losing business, I told him that I was going to be working with Mike and his team moving forward.

Horn sent a crew out to properly tarp my roof while waiting for insurance decisions. When the aduster decision came back not to cover my roof replacement, Mike, Ryan, and Ray patiently waited and resubmitted a complete package of damage to State Farm. They worked the phone with State Farm's national team and argued on my behalf multiple times. Having worked as adjusters for State Farm before, they actually knew SF's internal regulations better than their national claims specialist did. After a considerable amount of effort, they succeeding in getting SF to send a local adjuster to my house.

Following an in-depth inspection with Horn's team, it took about 5 days for my roof to be approved for replacement, including gutters. I still had some out of pocket, but the vast majority was covered now.

Following the complete replacement (i.e. we are all done, paid for, etc), the Horn team kept going. They had noticed some issues during the install with my attic ventilation and recommended that I have a 2nd power vent installed to help. They even coordinated an electrician to meet with me to see if it could be done. Once the electrician gave the thumbs up, Horn came back out and installed a 2nd power vent quickly.

I recommend this business hands down and have been telling all my friends about them as well. I figured it was time to tell Google Reviews. Do yourself and favor and call them when you need a roof.

I would definitely recommend Horn Industries! The process was so smooth and easy. I was on a timeline as I was selling my house. Ray dealt with the claim stuff and worked tirelessly to get my roof done in a timely fashion so I could get my house sold. It was done in one day, the roofers cleaned everything up and Ray came out the next day to make sure everything looked ok and was clean. They did a wonderful job and saved me so much time and headaches!! I would definitely have them again for roof replacement.

Horn Industries did great work with the rather sizeable job of replacing my roof, garage door, all of my siding, gutters, facia, sophit, trim, window sashes, and installing two new windows. The crew on my job paid close attention to detail, including calling out when they discovered rotting plywood rather than simply siding over it as many other companies do. They have a dedicated staff member with deep experience in the P&C insurance claims business who skillfully and persistently advocated on my behalf with my insurance company. My house looks amazing and I couldn’t be happier with their work and service.

I am a perfectionist by nature and do not trust someone exclusively from what they say. I want to see results first before I make a decision, especially for work on my home. Mike Hornbacher was very detailed in his analysis and had great communication on both what to expect and when it will occur. Quality and professionalism were great and a small follow up item was very promptly resolved. With so many bad contractor experiences out there, I was fortunate to have the exact opposite with Mike. I’ve since recommended him to my mother in law and work colleague and they’ve had great experiences as well. If I ever have another hail storm hit my house, my 1st call will be to Mike.
