"This company will rip

I didn't even make it to the actual appointment. I called because I needed to cancel the appointment and was going to call back to reschedule when I knew we would be available. Instead I was met with an attitude when I said I needed to cancel and was hung up on before she took my name or any other information. I won't be contacting them again.

You win more flies with honey than you do vinegar, but HomeFix wins them all with the bucket of BS and lies they sell you.
Mike C their “top sales guy” came out and presented a very long (we’re talking hours), professionally made slide show about how great their company is. That EVERY SINGLE person working there is highly trained, fully vested EMPLOYEE. They claim that since getting their business license in the 1990s they have never, and will never hire subcontractors. Every vehicle on my property would be company owned and labeled, every person in uniform.
They said, “you pay more for this, but we think it’s worth it.” Guess what? We thought it was worth it, too, hiring a company that treats their laborers well- pays them well, gives them health insurance, a retirement plan.
LIES
The day of install we had several unmarked trucks show up with not a single person who could/would communicate with us, nor was there anything signaling who they were or who they worked for. No hello, no goodbye, no this is what we found that needs to be repaired. Literally zero conversation with the installers, and we tried multiple times, including with google translate.
They did not repair the damage Mike claimed we had.
They broke paver stones in my front walk way and drove through and parked in my garden beds on top of rose bushes and hostas.
They also dumped leftover material in my flower bed instead on the grassy patch or driveway next to it.
They claimed that they would be sending me a check for two months of my roof payments to pay for the damage they caused… Never did.
They left trash all over my property, some still hanging from under the new shingles they installed.
This is a terrible company. Read the reviews because they are hot garbage and you’re not going to be happy. I’m not. Their response below is to me just leaving a 1 star review without explanation. They HAVE NOT made my experience better.

I felt very uncomfortable when a Homefix sales person rang my doorbell this evening at 7:15pm. I told him I was on a call and wasn't interested, but he ignored that and kept doing his sales pitch. I repeated 4-5 times that I wasn't interested, but he wouldn't leave. This made me uncomfortabe and scared. I told him that was now 5 times I've said no, and now I was telling him to leave my property. He still wouldn't leave, so now I said I would call the police if he didn't leave. Finally he left, but looked very annoyed at me, so i'm worried he will return later to do something. I don't agree with door-to-door sales anyway, but there is no way that your company should be allowing this behavior. I assume its part of the sales tactics, but it has to stop because its hurting your business - i will now tell 10 people to avoid HomeFix. I assume you will now leave your template response, asking me to call to provide feedback!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
