I always wait a while to do reviews because I like to wait & see how things go as they are used. Unfortunately, things have NOT been great after the initial installation was done & I have been using the shower they remodeled for us.

1st issue is that they submitted the parts for our project incorrectly. The installer caught one of the big issues (wrong basepan ordered) so that was fixed during install, but the wrong shower head was ordered & installed, which I didn't catch until after the guys had already left.

2nd Issue is that the grab bar, the first time we actually used it as intended, one of the rings fell off and slid down the bar onto my hand.

I called our "project coordinator" about getting these things fixed. She said she would call me back about having them come fix things... That was 3 weeks ago now.

3rd issue that is now not able to be ignored, the sliding door doesn't stay closed. It slowly slides open 5-30 seconds after you close it, which means I can't use the shower without water coming out the OPEN door...

This company talks a really good game about their customer service & the guy who did the actual work was AMAZING. if this review was just of him, it would be 5 stars, but if I am reviewing the entire company & experience, I am pretty disappointed by the lack of communication, follow through, and attention to detail.

Cyrah & Keith were very nice & patient with my mom & I. They were very likeable & friendly. They worked very hard to get my mom a monthly payment that she could handle. They said that it would take 2-3 days to get the roof done.
The original date had to be rescheduled, which was great for me, too. The crew showed up as scheduled, while I was sleeping, which I expected. They never knocked on the door. They went straight to work. Brandi called to let me know that there was some damaged boards from dry rot, so they were replaced. My mom & I talked to a couple of the guys. They were very polite & nice! They worked very hard, and were able to get the roof done in 1 day!! They cleaned it all up, too! They left, as they arrived, without a word!
Two of the guys came back the next day. The 3 of us walked around the outside of the house, going over everything they did, while my mom waited on the porch. They answered our questions & even took care of the old satellite dish that should have been gone years ago.
The first 2 pictures are before, with moss scattered everywhere. The rest are after.

I was so pleased that our new roofing project was done in such a timely manner. We were told it would take 4 days. That is exactly what it required. They arrived everyday on time ready to work. There were no slackers, even though it was during our hottest days of this year. We are also pleased with the quality materials used. Our neighbors even commented on how nice it looks. Several of their homes will be needing roofs soon. Who knows, they might be in contact with HPH soon too. We are confident that the new roofing project will last us the rest of our lives because of the quality and workmanship of the roof.

Brian and John came to my house and gave me a free inspection. They were honest, and stated that I did not need to replace my roof. This builds trust and shows that they aren’t just out there looking to take your money. Keep up the good work!

High-performance homes was an absolute pleasure to work with. Their communication was great every step of the way with emails, texts, and a person calling you. You knew exactly what was going on at all times. The roofers were very professional, explained what they were doing, punctual, and always willing to help or explain what needed to be done. They were always smiling and really made you feel like part of the team. I would highly recommend high performance homes to anyone needing their roof replaced.

NOTE: The 5 stars is for Winston who inspected and repaired the roof in July 2025. The rest of the story does not earn as many stars. After a heavy rainstorm in April 2025, we had water coming in through the roof over our kitchen. HPH had replaced our entire roof in 2022 and they were aware of a problem area over our kitchen, replacing all the plywood and adding intake and ridge vents. In February 2024, as the ice from a winter storm was melting, we once again had water in the same area of the kitchen. We called HPH and in March, an inspector came out and said the vents had not been installed properly. They replaced much of the roof on the north side of the house over the kitchen. Fast forward to May 12, 2025. A heavy downpour was followed by water coming in through the same place, in the area of the ridge vents. We called HPH and left a message. No response. Over the course of the next week we called 6 times and left messages. Finally, finding another number from the roof installation days, we called it and got Ginger who told us that the number went to someone who was out on maternity leave and it had not been forwarded. She created a trouble ticket and Winston came out to inspect on June 2nd. He was prompt, courteous and thorough, finding no less than 6 things that had not been done properly on our roof installation, including using the wrong nails on the intake strip and flashing that wasn’t sealed. (This despite having had at least two inspections from other HPH people prior.) I requested that Winston be present for the repairs to make sure everything he found was repaired. We waited. Almost 3 weeks went by, during which time another downpour resulted in water in our kitchen again, while we were out of town. On June 21st, I called Ginger and got Chris, who informed me that Ginger was no longer with HPH. He said a crew would be sent out. As we were out of town, I requested June 30th, since I would be home by that date. The day came and went. At 4:30 I called Chris and said “I assume you are not coming.” He said he wanted to wait until the next day to make sure I had returned home. But he didn’t call to tell me that. The next day Chris and Winston came and started making the repairs themselves. I monitored and noted that Winston followed up on everything he had mentioned in his inspection. As it was hot, they wanted to finish the next week when they could start in the morning. On July 9th, Winston came out alone and completed the repairs. I was very happy with Winston’s efforts. He called to confirm, worked hard, communicated well and answered all my questions. He gets the 5 stars. HPH gets 2 stars. Their communication is severely lacking and getting this leak fixed (hopefully correctly this time) has taken almost two months. I’m not sure how to reconcile this. Winston was terrific but HPH’s performance in getting this project from start to finish was very disappointing. They need to do much better. I am assuming that, because all the problems Winston found were in the installation, I will not be charged for this repair. But they did insist on a credit card number for a $350 inspection fee if the problem turned out to be my fault. So we will see what happens next. Bottom line: HPH has some great people in the field, but when it comes to good customer service, they drop the ball.

This company is highly professional and a pleasure to work with. My old house is lathe and plaster and it was crumbling behind the tile work in the bathroom. It was hard work but the gentleman was diligent in getting in done in a timely manner and cleaning up all areas. I highly recommend this business.

I hired High Performance Homes (HPH) to replace my siding in 2024, and it turned out to be one of the worst contractor experiences I’ve ever had. Communication was awful throughout the project. I had to constantly chase them for updates and answers. The project dragged on far longer than promised with little explanation, and the crew often didn’t show up when scheduled. When the work was finally finished, the quality was clearly subpar, with visible cracks, uneven lines, and a rushed, careless look.

On top of that, the crew left a mess around my home and didn’t take care to protect my property. Even worse, when I reached out with post-installation concerns, they gave me the runaround and spent months to repair. This company completely lacked professionalism and follow-through. I strongly recommend going with a more reliable and reputable siding company.

We are pleased with our new roof from HPH. Our home is difficult to access and the roof is steep and rather intricate. Gary and his crew navigated the difficulties in a professional manner with no complaints. Construction projects on old wooden homes always run into some surprises. Josh, project manager, dealt with everything in a timely manner. Our goal was to get a good-looking roof, built with quality materials that will last for many years. The warranty and job done by HPH provide value for money invested.

Tom Rosenwinkel was fantastic. He was very nice, informative and was very helpful. We did not get the chance to execute our project due to our us not being ready to pull the trigger yet due to our finances. He was very cordial and kind throughout the whole process. Once we are ready to move forward with our project we shall reach back out. I would highly recommend going with High Performance Highs.

High pressure sales. This salesman came knocking door-to-door who refused to even leave me a card showing company information. He said the cards he had in his pocket were only for customers who weren't at home!! What?? Then he proceeded to pressure me to give them a phone number and make an appointment, I said I'm not giving that out. These roofing companies always tell you that they're going to be putting a new roof on your neighbors or doing a neighbor's estimate or whatever soon, but I seldom see anybody getting a new roof, so I think they're making that up. I won't use a company that does these things.

When choosing a company for our new roof, we met with several to compare quotes and options. Travis, our sales representative from HPH, stood out immediately with his professionalism and deep knowledge. He took the time to thoroughly inspect our roof, answer all of our questions, and walk us through the available options with clear and thoughtful recommendations. After meeting with Travis, the decision to go with HPH was an easy one. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Materials were delivered on time, and the crew completed our entire roof in just three days. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, which we really appreciated. Winston, the inspector, ensured the work was completed to HPH’s high standards and maintained clear communication throughout.
Everyone we interacted with from the crew to the office team was professional and courteous. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and highly recommend HPH to anyone in need of a new roof.

In response to their response below:

What HPH is once again lying about is that not only did Brian, their “head of Installation” state, as well as multiple other roofing companies I have consulted, as well as the Oregon building code states is that there must be a minimum of 10” between the skylights in order to properly flash and guarantee they are sealed and won’t leak. The “existing skylights are literally right next to each other with zero space for flashing. Now, over a month later they are saying that they CAN leave the skylights the way they are?!? That they can proceed with the skylights left right next to each other and that WE are the reason the project didn’t proceed and therefor want to charge us $12,800 for cancelling the contract. It literally makes zero sense. In text messages my husband expresses my disappointment in loosing so much light and asked about ways to try to increase the amount of skylights from just the 2 skylights. Brian responds that it’s not possible as there needs to be 10inches between them for flashing, but apparently that doesn’t apply to existing skylights?!? And now they’re saying we would choose to loose the light AND add 7K to the project, and that that was our choosing?!? They’re still threatening us, still saying they’re going to sue us for “defamation” for posting this review and they’re accusing me of lying and making this up. Where in the world would I get this insane of a story? I truly cannot believe a company I thought was so trustworthy in the beginning would treat people this way. It’s truly unbelievable.

We met with two individuals who were fantastic and felt very confident in signing a contract, however we were later told by another contractor that they said could handle the existing skylights in our home was actually impossible. When we raised this concern with HPH we were sent “Brian” who is in charge of installs. He then agreed that they could not complete the roof in the way they had quoted us and told us that in order to proceed that it would cost us an additional 7,000 (5,600 through them and an unknown amount for additional finishing work to be paid by us to repair the inside of our home) He also lied and told me that the skylights that were needed would require them to completely “shut down the factory to custom make my 2x6 skylight”. I later looked on line and found multiple options for skylights in stock at Home Depot, Lowe’s and a few other roofing suppliers for the 2x6 skylight. He told me I will loose 50% of my skylights and sent my husband a text literally bragging and using multiple inappropriate emojis about how he did such an incredible job for us. We then told them we no longer wish to move forward. As there is no longer any trust there. And now they are threatening not to let us out of a contract that they cannot fulfill. My husband and I are both disabled and this has been an absolute nightmare. I truly hope they do the right thing moving forward, I will keep you updated.

Update: HPH is still coming after us and literally threatening to sue me for defamation. Multiple individuals are lying about the conversations that were had even with proof. It’s so sad that this is the way they treat people. Unbelievable.

It has been such a pleasure working with this company for my bathtub/shower remodel. They were communicative throughout the process. Then, Terry and Paul showed up on time and worked diligently to do the work! They completed the work quickly and up to my standards. They cleaned up after themselves as well. The grab bar was on back order, but when it came in and was scheduled, Terry came back out promptly and installed it. He ensured it was right where I wanted it and was the appropriate size. He was very accommodating and friendly. Absolutely would work with them again.

HPH did a great job on my roof replacement. I have a two story 2400 sq ft home and they were able to remove the old roof, replace some rotten plywood, replace the skylight, and reshingle it all in one day. I was amazed. I figured it would be at least 2 days minimum. Even my neighbors were amazed and asked for the company's information for when they had to replace there roof. I wished I would of got before and after pics to post here. It looks amazing. 50 year shingles with moss guard and a full transferable warranty and 12 month no payment financing. They were not the cheapest quote that I got but they were also not the most expensive for what I got. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend them.

HPH did a good job. We had some communication/scheduling issues that worked themselves out.

(The below is directed to the consumer and about the overall roofing / home repair business in general and not directed solely at HPH).

No one ever tells themselves, "I want to spend a crap ton of money to replace my roof today". You as the home owner would hope your roof would last your "lifetime" when you bought your home.. but It's more of a necessity/preventive measures when you own a home and your roof is at the end of its life cycle.

Advice I would give the consumer: The not so great part about roof replacement: Mysterious pricing.. COMPARE PRICES with other companies.. Please do me a favor, upfront, tell the sales people you are getting a quote from them, BUT not going to buy from them today, because you are getting quotes from other companies. STAND FIRM, don't fall for this pressured sales tactic. Be a good consumer and shop around. Tell them you need time to compare prices and not rush into a such a HUGE $$,$$$ purchase. You as the consumer need to understand the "roof sales" tactics and different pricing companies offer. Almost all roofing sales companies use a "today only" one price tactic. I wish roofing companies allowed the consumer to shop the market for the right price. Buying a new roof today is WORSE than buying a car. At least when you buy that car, you can see the average price of what people are paying on Kelly Blue Book. There is no Kelly Blue Book for roof replacement. (that I know of, maybe someone needs to design an app for home repair quote app to circumvent the sales people). Sales will tell you buying a roof is not a one size fits all, but there should be something out there that can tell you about how much your neighbor spent on their roof or how much it should cost. When you get your car repaired at the dealership, they itemize how much you are paying for each item by Labor / Material / shop costs / overhead. Not the roofing people. It's one price pull mysteriously from a formula not shared with the consumer. I feel I paid A LOT of money for my roof, but not knowing what the average price my neighbors are paying for the same roof doesn't give me the greatest feeling that I got the best price for my money. I can look today to see how much my neighbor paid for their house, but don't know what they paid to get the roof replaced. I think I should have knocked on my neighbor doors when a roof was being replaced how much they spent. There should be some formula for SQ FT, Pitch of the roof, Materials, Labor, Garbage, miscellaneous item costs that the consumer can price for themselves.

This review is because they just sent a door to door salesman to my house a couple of minutes ago and he was very brief and not pushy. He got information across clearly and quickly and when I told him I wasn't interested, he took no for an answer and moved on. I would consider them in the future simply because of the professional, respectful encounter I just had.

Great crew to work with. I’m a realtor and have dealt with many contractors and sales people over the years. All were professional, quick and thorough when explaining the process. Instal itself started at the specified time and was completed in a day. After leaving you’d never know they were here.

I had HPH replace roof, skylights and gutters. A 3-4 day project turned into a 3-4 week project. There were several days they said they would complete the windows but didn’t show up, which caused me to lay out tarps to avoid debris on floors/furniture - only to pick them up and lay them out again the next time they said they would show up. If they are correct about the quality of their materials and installation, the delay was a minor hassle/inconvenience. The workers seemed to work hard and the job looks good. The delay was cause by mis-measurements of the skylights. Regarding the gutters - they initially had a gutter routed to pour out onto my patio. On review of the completed project, I had to ask the crew about it because there was a drain right under the gutter - why wasn’t the gutter routed to the drain, so that water was not emptying onto my patio? They said it looked like the drain was clogged. I took out the surface dirt in the drain and asked them to connect the gutter to the drain. Water can be a real problem in Eugene, Oregon. They fixed it and connected the gutter to the drain, but it concerns me there may have been other short-cuts taken in places I cannot see. I hope not and I will update my review positively or negatively depending on whether I need warranty work done later. I’m pretty satisfied with the job, but I feel like if you are going to charge premium prices you should provide a premium experience. If the product and installation is as good as they say, it will all be worth it.

I had crappy windows and now I have nice windows.
However, I live in Lane County and was lead to believe they had an office here. Not really. They have sales folks here but all regular employees, including the installers, all had to come down from Vancouver. Multiple times I had to wait for them to get through traffic coming through Portland. When I expressed my disappointment to the Project Manager, she argued with me. If she had just apologized, I'd be fine but she continued to argue with me. She even argued with me saying she wasn't arguing with me ;) Then I get an email saying they heard that I was dissatisfied and if I wanted to talk to someone I could email them. I think this is just really bad customer service.
Also, I took out a loan through their partner. Less than a week later, my load was sold.
I just feel like these folks can't be trusted anymore.
Disappointed. But yeah, the windows are beautiful and installed acceptably.

The experience with HPH was solid throughout the process, from sales to follow up to preparation to installation to final sign off. The team at HPH at all levels were courteous, responsive, and professional. The siding that was installed met expectations and was installed with white glove treatment.

I had High Performance Homes do a bathroom / shower installation in my house. The sales people were professional, knowledgeable and polite. They worked with me on all of the details of the project and they helped me come up with a payment plan that stayed within my budget. The installer was professional and showed up ready to go to work and completed the project within one day. I am very happy with the product and the installation process. I would recommend High Performance Homes for any homeowner that wants a reputable company doing work on their house.

Overall, a good experience. The roof and gutters look great and appear to be working as expected! A few items to note:
1. The work was delayed when the crew arrived with a dumpster that would not fit on the property
2. Still finding nails and screws on the property
3. A work lead showed up for final payment when there were still outstanding repairs
4. A work lead was supposed to arrive for a final walkthrough, but no one ever arrived
I would recommend, but advise anyone, with this company or any other, to not be afraid to be an advocate for your property throughout the project.

They we fast with getting measurements and getting the windows in when they came. The estimate team was great at relaying all the information and taking time to show exactly what will be done.

Recently got our front siding done by HPH. Initial appt took a little long because of delays in getting the loan approved day of (~ 3 hours).

Our expectations were set very high based on overwhelmingly positive reviews on google and a lot of talk at the initial appt about their contractors being James Hardy certified to install hardy board (manufacturer has high standards for the installation). Additionally, we were told we were getting a specific job manager who was known by everyone as the best and well liked by all. Lastly, were told that we would be contacted 3x - before, during, and after the job. The overall message was "we're a little pricier than the competition, but it's because you can rest easy knowing the job will be done right, the experience will be good, and you won't have any problems with the final product".

Some expectations were met - the work crew was very professional, and were more than willing to communicate and make sure we were getting what we wanted. However, we did not get the favorite job manager as told, and we did not receive stellar communication - had to call the company after ~2 weeks to actually schedule the job, and 2x later on when we called w/ concerns we were told to expect a callback 'soon' and never heard back.

There were also some sticking points such as HPH removing our front lights for us but not putting them back on (leaving a hole in the siding), and the dumpster and remaining materials staying in our driveway for a week after the job until we called to ask for them to be removed.

However, once we contacted HPH customer service, we received A+++ service and had all of our needs addressed (including some we didn't realize we needed!). The director of windows and siding for HPH, Dave, came out himself to inspect the work, found several fixes to make that we didn't notice, and got those fixes made as well as the front lights put back up. Above and beyond work to make it right, overall a positive experience in the end.

The crew was very polite, courteous and above all very professional. The result was a magnificent new roof that I am quite pleased with. Over the years I have had new roofs installed on different houses in different states all professionally done. But HPH out did them. Had some scheduling issues and even weather delayed once, but all was worked out, always kept me in the loop and worked with me.

We recently worked with High Performance Homes on a roofing project and couldn't be more satisfied. We opted for their High Performance roofing package, including the ridge vent system, as well as new gutters for the entire house. Our project estimator, Travis, was outstanding—professional, attentive, and never pushy. He gave us the time and space to make decisions without feeling pressured, which we really appreciated.

Josh, our project coordinator, stayed in close contact throughout, checking in multiple times to ensure everything was progressing smoothly and that our needs were met. The on-site crew was professional and did a great job of cleaning up daily. While we did find a few stray nails in the lawn after the project was finished, it was a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.

The highlight of the entire project was the installation of a solar tube between our kitchen and dining room. The natural light it brings in has been a game changer for us, and we absolutely love it!

Overall, we give High Performance Homes a 5/5 for professionalism, cleanliness, and execution. We highly recommend them!

We are all totally blind at this residence, so it was important to us to have someone we could trust. We were served by Travis G of High Performance Homes. Travis was not only very forthright in all his explanations, but his service went far above and beyond our expectations! Honest, friendly and outgoing, Travis is an excellent example of how a salesman should act at all times. I thank God we had Travis G as our agent.

We were very impressed by the customer service provided by High Performance Homes during our consultation for a shower remodel. Brian Tispert was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, answering all of our questions. We were given multiple detailed estimates to make an educated decision on how we wanted to proceed and Brian walked us through every step to help narrow down our decision. The work has not been done yet but we have peace of mind knowing that this company cares for their employees and their work. Thanks Brian!

Ryan Vockrodt and Darin Eardly showed up for an appointment set up by a neighborhood canvasser several days earlier. Unfortunately, the reason for the appointment (a needed repair to a rotting door frame) was ultimately not a service provided by High Performance Homes. Ryan and Darin were super polite, briefly explained the services that High Performance Homes could provide once the need arises (primarily siding and roofing), and did not try to hard sell me for something that I currently don't need. Based on this interaction with Ryan and Darin, I will definitely consider High Performance Homes when I need new siding or a new roof.

Had windows installed in 2021. The pricing was very high with a large interest rate. Having installed windows myself this year, I would choose to buy wholesale and do the work personally. The installation in 2021 was a bad experience with missing windows, incorrect measurements, a several month lapse of communication, and bad contractor conduct.
I received communication from HPH recently asking for clarification of what happened and asking what they could do which I appreciated, as well as describing what they have done to rectify that level of conduct on their end in the years following my service.

I’m very satisfied with the quality of the windows. The energy efficiency has made a noticeable difference in room temperature during the summer. I removed 2 stars for the lack of communication regarding the details of the project. As well as the inconvenience and frustration of a delayed installation (it took two days with the crew working on the inside of the house when I had been told it would be about two hours working from the outside of the house).

I am very pleased with my new roof and experience with High Performance Home. Everything went as scheduled, the crew was very polite and did an excellent job cleaning up my yard after the roof was installed. I strongly recommend them.

Replaced cedar shake roof with CT Presidential TL roof. The work crew started and completed the install on schedule and the office checked in regularly to see how it was going. The crew removed the old roof and did a good job cleaning up around the house when they were finished each day and at the end of the project.

I would prefer to have seen a straight bid valid for a certain time period rather than the higher price quote with end of month discounts (on the final day of the month). I suppose the contract price would have been about the same either way and I was already planning for a new roof; so OK. I would also have liked to discuss in advance the possibility of needing new skylights since that changed the overall cost and was not in the original contract. However, the existing skylights were about 30 years old, so far as I know.

The new roof looks great (see picture on the right below) and so do the skylights, and the financing process was quick with a reasonable interest rate. Overall, it was a positive experience to work with this company.

I don't normally answer my door when someone knocks (unless i was expecting them), but I did when HPH knocked. It was about time to start looking for someone to replace my roof, so they showed up at just the right time. The individual was polite and we scheduled an inspection and quote for the roof right then. The two men who showed up the next day to perform the inspection were VERY thorough. Took lots of pictures and walked me through everything they noticed. My roof, while not in the worst state, was not in a great state. Random screws and nails through shingles, shingles disintegrating and falling apart. In the attic they noticed other issues that unless dealt with soon, could end up being an even bigger project in the future, best to get this done sooner rather than later. The two men who came over to do the inspection and quote were polite, and not pushy about trying to make a sale. They walked me through the different materials and roofing options they offered, even brought samples which were way better to see in person than just an image in a booklet. A few days before the project started the materials were dropped off (as expected, they were great at communicating what was going to happen and when). Over all, it only took them a day to do most of the work which was impressive in my opinion, i was expecting a multiple days long project. It technically did end up that way, but not due to any fault of theirs. I have an awning covering my back patio so they contacted somebody else to come raise it up off the roof, it took a fair amount of back and forth for the other people to show up and raise the awning off the roof so HPH could finish the roofing work. The people for the awning had to leave and come back twice because they didn't bring the materials they needed. Other than that, I'd say i highly recommend HPH, they had great service and were always more than willing to answer my numerous questions.

Should note i went from the basic manufacturer roof (house built in 2004) to the High Performance Roofing option offered by HPH.

Not great pictures of the roof, but it looks good from what i can see and from what the roofers showed me when they completed their work.

Great company and wonderful service and people.

If I had seen the BBB reviews first, I would never had continued with HPH. But I am happy to say, none of those negative reviews was what I experienced with this Company. From the first knock on my door, to the day of meeting the 2 estimator, to the men who delivered the materials, to the day and men of the installation, I have NOTHING negative to say about HPH Company. Travis Vandeberghe proved to be very respectful, considerate and professional. Travis stayed longer than I'm sure he thought he would. I had 100 questions about the Company, the work crew he would send, the safety features for the men on top of my roof. Of course I had many questions about how to finance this job. Travis educated me on every issue, to my complete satisfaction, and without ever using pressure or fear techniques.
Travis told me it might take about 3 full days to do all the work. The Team began removing the old roof at 7 a.m. and they were done by 3:30 p.m. same day!!!! No loud yelling, music or banging. The entire time a Team was working on the roof, 2 men were fully engaged in continuously going around the house, picking up fallen debris and nails. With a large magnet!!! None of my shrubs or flowers were walked on or damaged. No switch-ups, no surprise purchases needed. I had NO fears signing the Completed Work papers. I am happy to answer prospective customer questions and show them my lovely new roof. I am so glad HPH came to my door. Thank you very much.

Mike from HPH stopped by to tell me about free estimates. HPH did my roof last fall, and I was very pleased with the work they did. So Mike set up an appointment for me. Chad came by and measured windows, talked about their product and financing. Chad was easy to talk with, answered all my questions, and now I am set to have new windows installed. All that and I never felt pressured.

We have not used your services and won't based on your door to door sales people. The same guy has come here 3 times recently. No ID, only a safety vest. 3 times I have told him we are not interested and to please not come back. Each time he has gotten more argumentative with me. I start by saying thanks but not interested. Then he keeps pressing and I keep saying NOT INTERESTED. Today he went so far as to question me if I was the home owner. I am but said it's none of his business because I will NOT be using your company. I ended up shutting the door on him. Our ring camera caught his rudeness. If it happens again, I will post here. I told him to never come back.

I had to cancel my windows due to financial issues and high performance homes was very quick to respond and forthcoming throughout the whole process. I really do recommend this company for high quality window installations. They are a well put together team. Eric and Brian were very helpful. Looking forward to getting my windows at a later time!

Dishonest and predatory sales tactics.

Had a guy show up in our yard who was very nice and asked if he could set us up with a free estimate for siding. Said OK... and their salesman Brian showed up at our house the next day, about 15 minutes early. Nice enough guy. He looked at our siding, up at the eves and then insisted he do an inspection for the roof. Said ok. He took some pictures, crawled in the attic and went up on the roof and insisted we sit down. He claimed on his inspection that the roof was not installed with tar or felt paper, the attic vents were not secured to the roof, had 4 disconnected ventilator hoses in the attic, had rotted roof boards, as well as some mold on our 60 Y/O insulation and roof boards, and some other B.S. I don't remember. Basically said I need to replace my roofing, boards and all. Gave us his pitch and an estimate then left. Had been here for a couple hours.

I inspected his findings the next day. keep in mind, my roof is about 4 or 5 years old.

I found tar paper under the shingles. All of my attic vents were secured. There is only one ventilator in my attic space. It is disconnected and there is a bit of mold up there, but it's from the inoperative gable-end vent fan, which I have yet to replace.

Moral of the story is don't trust this company as far as you can throw it. Feel bad for anyone that says yes to an estimate.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
