McKinney & Sons did an outstanding job removing our old sunroom and rebuilding the deck from scratch. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were top-notch, resulting in a sturdy and beautiful deck that has transformed our outdoor living area. These guys restore my faith in humanity... well over 2 years ago, we paid them a very competitive price to perform a large handful of patch-jobs on our very leaky, almost 50-year old manufactured home's roof, and then lay down a whole new Snow-Seal, making us "water-tight", with an essentially comprehensive guarantee... "If it leaks, we will fix it for free, unless a tree or a city bus fell on it to cause the leak."
Fast forward 2 and a half years to last week, when we discovered a leak for the first time.
I called Chad McKinney last Friday afternoon, hoping to schedule an inspection the following week, and ready to fight for our promised guarantee, so you can imagine my surprise when what what I got was this instead: "Hmm... Shoot, I just got home, but I don't want to ignore that all weekend, let's just find out what we're dealing with. Are you at home now?"
Long story short, an hour later he was on our roof applying a new patch, fully covered with the guarantee, it hasn't leaked since, and we are all living happily ever after.
I recommend them without reservation; you will be in good hands.

McKinney & Sons Roofing was recommended to me through my realtor and I couldn't be more happy with his recommendation. I met with Chad to discuss the options for replacing my roof and he was punctual, courteous, personable, and reasonably priced. He was also incredibly responsive during all my projects, and even regarding new projects. Chad and his team, including Andrew, Joe, Mike, and Noah, to name a few, were awesome! All team members were polite and punctual. I had such a great experience with them, I also hired them to repair a damaged wall, paint two rooms and a bathroom, as well as several other small projects. I worked with the McKinney & Sons Roofing team for almost a month, on various projects, and have nothing but positive things to say about them. I will definitely hire them for all my upcoming home improvement projects and have recommended them to several friends and family.

Steven McKinney and crew did a torched down coating on our flat roof. We are so happy with the results. They showed up exactly when they said they would and finished the job in a day and a half. They gave us before and after pictures - it looks amazing. When they finished and left - there was no trace left that they had been there - except it was all cleaner than it had been before - they even swept our driveway as well as the patio over which they were working and washed our skylights. We were left with our environmentally friendly white roof which will keep us much cooler this summer and summers to come. We highly recommend this company.

They cleaned and coated my cedar shake roof and cleaned the gutters. They also found and replaced some damaged shakes. They were friendly and professional and cleaned the yard and patio after they were done. We were very happy with the work.

We hired McKinney & Sons to clean our roof. The original appointment was scheduled for mid-day on Friday, June 10; my partner took the day off work to be on site when they were working. Past the scheduled time, we were notified they would not be making it out as planned and that we could reschedule for the following day (Saturday).

On Saturday, we were notified that they had double booked and would not be able to make it as (re)scheduled. We were given the option of the following Wednesday at noon, which my partner agreed to.

My partner took a half day on Wednesday, again to be on site during the work. When they didn't arrive at noon, my partner contacted McKinney & Sons and was told they would arrive around 2pm. At 2:30pm, they notified my partner they could be here "in 15, 20 minutes." At which point we decided to cancel the service, given that we had an obligation at 4pm.

Based on this experience, we cannot recommend McKinney & Sons. They did not respect our time or schedules on multiple occasions, and my partner was out a day and a half of work because of it. And we still have a roof that needs cleaning.

I live in a new neighborhood in Ridgefield, WA, and after a very rainy winter, it was time for most of us to have moss removed from our roof. I called three different companies for quotes on behalf of several neighbors, and as a group, we decided to use McKinney and Sons, and I can confidently say that they did not disappoint!
From the first meeting, they were reliable, friendly, and professional. Chad gave us a quote-- a very fair quote, and told us that he and his crew would arrive at 8 AM on Thursday that week to start the work. They arrived right on time, first removed debris left behind by the builder (nails etc..) then thoroughly cleaned each roof.
As other neighbors saw them working, they asked if their roof could be cleaned that day as well, and they were not turned away. I can't be sure how many roofs were cleaned on our street alone that day, but I know Chad and his crew worked until each job was done perfectly.
We will definitely be seeing McKinney and Sons at our house and our neighbor's houses again next spring. I truly can't say enough about how thorough, fair, and responsive they were.

This crew did an amazing job. They were able to get us scheduled in a very timely manner, install our new roof quickly with no hiccups, and they even went the extra mile and took care of some other issues that weren’t even in the original bid. Truly under promising and over delivering at every corner. The rate we paid was a very reasonable amount for work done as well - We have flipped many homes as a company and they were by far the best we have ever used. We will only be working with McKinney and Sons Roofing in the future, and I’d highly recommend everyone reach out to them before going anywhere else.
