Hammond Lumber Company - Farmington, ME

Absolutely blown away by the customer service. I was really intimidated to go in because I know next to nothing about power tools, building things, etc. I was treated with kindness, respect, and enthusiasm. Every person I spoke with was professional, helpful, and supportive. I am so excited for the project I am working on, I can't wait to share it with them when I am finished (they even asked to see the final product!) and I am looking forward to many more projects if it means I can get the help and support I got at the Farmington Hammond Lumber!

Although the staff is knowledgeable and quite helpful, the pricing continues to be a huge issue to a small contractor just trying to make a living. I don't spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, but I spend thousands and am finding more and more that their high pricing is driving me away and giving to any and all competition with consistently lower pricing.

Excellent service, friendly staff, incredible selection. We had to match some very old crown molding and they had the perfect match. Great shopping experience, they even cut the lengths I needed at no extra charge.

What l like is the consistency of the staff. Especially Debby and Melinda are always professional and well versed in the Hammond products.

They helped me put together everything I needed for my project. It wouldn't all fit in my car so they delivered everthing the next day free of charge. Would highly recommend them for any project!!

I went in looking for similar supplies that I have purchased before. They were able to find what I needed and get me in and out in a matter of minutes. On top of that, the workers in the lumber yard cut down three boards to the size I needed in minutes. They were incredibly helpful, as always.

Love the people there .They treat me like family. I would give them 5 but sometimes there more money then others.

Hammond Lumber is a great place to work with. It is not for those who like to wander and browse a big box for ideas but if you know what you need they either have it or can, and will, get it. Great people, great service and their own mills to back it up.

Sorry to see that Hammond Lumber closed their Wilton yard permanently.
Farmington yard is always well stocked, however their prices are abit higher than Lowe's or HD. Staff are usually polite and knowledgeable.
