G&W Roofing

Unfortunately G and W just got sold to new owners of another roofing company. The old owners were amazing. Many of the employees were let go. My home was being built during this transition. In October I had roofing blown off during storm. Still not fixed in May which caused the ridge cap to get damaged from another storm. Finally after 7 months they come fix it and then charge me not taking any responsibility for the original damage going 7 months to be corrected. There are plenty of roofing companies. I do not recommend this one.

Absolutely a terrific company. Great job, left everything neat and clean. You know they’re a quality company when they don’t want $ until the job is done. Don’t use anyone else. They are the best.

It was a great experience from start to finish. I had to coordinate from out of town and they provided great service and communication. The job was executed with no hassles or trouble, I highly recommend there service.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. Two days I had a new roof. Very professional. Showed up on time and cleaned up every little piece of trash. Highly recommend them.

I'm visiting my brothers house in New Smyrna Beach and shocked to see that he has pieces of his new metal roof falling off his house! He told me when he reached out to the Installer G&W they said it was not their problem to fix! how is this possible on a roof that's 1-2 years old that he paid nearly $30K for!!
The Owner said he would charge $4K to come back and fix this.
We will get the State inspectors involved and fight this to get it fixed. If I saw this and my contractors installed this I would just fix it and do the right thing. Obviously G&W dont want to do the right thing and put it right, to save themselves $$$ Shows their character!! I would not recommend dealing with roofers who dont fix their mistakes.

Great sales guy Gerald. Otherwise the office staff are rude, took 3 months to get them out to our house, then employee didn’t do everything he was supposed to do and made every excuse not to complete the job. Thankfully Gerald. Helped get the work completed. I would not recommend this company

What a great experience! Called to get a quote to repair missing tiles on my roof. Estimate was done with a video of all the work that was needed. A few weeks later Christian called to tell me he would be out to do the repairs. Work was done and pictures were provided of all the repairs and replacements made to my roof. I am so glad that I called G&W roofing. Very professional! I highly recommend G&W to anyone looking for a reliable roofing company that will provide quality work.

I recently hired G&W Roofing to help with a roof leak and I am really pleased with the entire process – from the original estimate from Jerry to the detail scheduling from Bridgette to the final work done by Brett and Latia. The best part of the process for me was the photos taken of the roof that were initially included with the estimate and reviewed with me prior to me accepting the quote. The explanation of what was wrong was very clear and I could see it – this was all a result of our friend Hurricane Milton. The roof repairs were completed just three weeks later and again the photos of the before and after were shared with me. The team was so polite, professional and left my roof looking great and all debris was removed. What a difference. But, the very best part is that my roof is no longer leaking.

G & W Roofing provided some great service to us! We contacted Bridget at the office who coordinated contacts with us! Gerald came out and gave an overall view of our roof and the issues and provided photos and a video so we could see the issues he found! Austin and his crew came out and provided step by step photos and videos of taking up the old roof shingles along with the Replacing of some rotted roof decking. Photos and Video of installation of the new roof shingles, vents, etc. as well! Shawn and his crew then came out a couple of weeks later to put up our new gutters! Top notch work from G & W Roofing! We are very happy with the work they have done, so if you need your Roof or Gutters checked, call them for an estimate! You will be glad you did!

G & W has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. The office kept me informed by text through every phase. Don did a very thorough inspection including a detailed video explaining each problem with my roof & many photos. He called me to explain what his estimates included. Chuck was very helpful getting my repairs scheduled quickly so we could proceed with a sale. Brett kept me updated with progress on the day he did the repairs which included photos. I would highly recommend this outstanding company.

They did a great job. Friendly, efficient and reasonable. The only reason only 4 stars is they did miss several appointments without letting us know they weren't coming. But besides that great to work with!

Absolutely the best roofing company. They solved every issue with my tile roof with so much attention. The team is respectful and they really go out of their way to make sure your problem is fixed.

Shawn was my gutter installer, he did a wonderful job. He was on time and completely the job to excellent standards. Would highly recommend his services and company to my neighbors and family.

This rating is not a mistake. If it were possible to give a zero, I would give it.

The only positive was their sales rep. He knew his job and did it well. He actually got his hands dirty to satisfy a promise he made when the crew, although informed, did not. His talents are wasted on this company and I am privately sorry he works for them. Past that, dealing with G&W was an experience I would not wish but on my worst enemy. While I should share my experience, I just don’t feel like wasting any more of my time on this company.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Of course, you might be that person that gets a good experience, but the chances that you would have to deal with what I did would make you fully regret dealing with them at all. It’s not worth taking that chance IMHO.

Also, keep an eye on how your county inspector does his final inspection. He did my inspection in under 4 minutes. The time it took him to get from his car to the piece of paper, sign it and then get back in his car without inspecting anything. I have him on video doing this. What a waste of taxpayers funds and a let down to all homeowners that rely on these inspectors to protect them from shoddy work. This company took advantage of this inspectors lack of effort, almost like they knew.

The team came out the day after Milton and properly tarped (neighboring homes tarped by their competitors were flapping in the wind a week later) our roof and special ordered our missing shingles. Installation went smoothly and we are happy for the services rendered.

Terrible at basic customer service skills, after doing an inspection on my damaged roof, I needed an itemized estimate. After telling this company about my horrible experience with other companies at not following up or providing estimates. This company turns around and does the same thing. I reminded them on three different days that I needed an itemized estimate and got the run around three different times. I’m not sure if they don’t want to provide an itemized estimate because they have hidden fees or they just simply forgot but either way it’s non excusable to just forget about a customer when this damage needs to be fixed. I don’t recommend this company if you actually need work done on your damaged roof.

So glad I had G& W Roofing do my reroof. Everyone with company was professional and respectful of property. The communication with Justin, the supervisor was fantastic, something that is hard to find with many companies today. I highly recommend them.

G&W did a good job doing my roof repair. Even though it was a small job they were here in a timely manner and suggested a caulk job on my skylights and vents as a preventative measure to any future issues. Will definitely give them a call when I need a new roof in the future.

We had a great experience with G&W Roofing. We lost shingles on our roof after the hurricane. Contacted Chuck and he sent someone out to tarp 2 days after storm. Said it would be 3 weeks for repair which we were happy with since it’s so hard to find legit roofers after storm. 3 weeks later they came out and replaced our missing shingles that matched our roof. Also, we had recently bought house so do not know who put roof on. But will definitely use G&W for a new roof when time comes. Price was reasonable!!

We're to start everyone at G&W went above and beyond on our new roof install. We went with G&W because of there years in business plus they came highly recommended from a previous builder that we had worked with. From our first conversation with Ray to get pricing, to multiple calls and emails getting exactly what we wanted. Then Michael and his crew came in and did an unbelievable job installing our new 24 gauge standing seam metal roof something that should last 30 to 40 years with all the extras that were put into the build. You know you've done the right thing when neighbors stop to say what a beautiful roof you've installed.

We had a small project on an old tile roof at our Daytona Beach house and not only were they willing to take it on, they were super communicative, very polite, and stuck with it, making our old house "right". They went above and beyond and we really appreciated it!

Company was easy to reach on phone. Set up appointment and they arrived and gave estimate. Set up following appointment and the workers arrived and did the job quickly and thoroughly. Only concern was that price was somewhat high.

I Shopped 16 roof companies and some were a couple thousand less, the reason I chose this company was for their brutal honesty and the fact they have been around for 50yrs + ,
for us it worked out Amazing! and the work was perfect.
i learned in my search for the right roof company that too many of them are 3rd party sales people and they sell you a dream just to get in the door, DONT FALL FOR THE BULL#@#$$.
The other thing to look out for is after they break down your old roof they milk you for xtra material like wood panels that are rotten and extra 2x4 and jack up the price at the end so BEWARE.

I’m happy that another customer had a good experience with G&W after hurricane Milton. Our experience, however, has been very disappointing. We had an estimator show up a couple days after the storm. Turns out he was from the company that just bought GW and traveled down from Indiana to help out with claims.

We have minor damage in roof cap shingles. The rep from Indiana said this would normally be covered under Owen’s Corning warranty but that their warranty process was too complicated so G W was going to fix the roof with no charge. He even sent us an estimate that stated no charge.

We waited a couple weeks and heard nothing back so called and were told a crew would be there on Saturday. My wife and I hung out all day Saturday and no one showed up. Called them back following week and spoke to scheduler who claimed he put us on the schedule for Saturday himself and had to find out why the crew didn’t show up. Couple days later we were told crew would come out next day and again no one showed.

When I called back I was told that there was nothing in their system for us and they’d have to send another estimator out and also that I’d have to pay for the repair. I asked the person who I spoke with if she was really saying that they were not going to honor the zero charge estimate I had received and was told “thats what the ‘higher ups’ are saying.

It’s been a month that my roof has been exposed and still waiting.

I suspect theirs some confusion with the change in ownership as they were great to work with when we had our roof replaced 9 years ago.

I meant to add that a crew is supposed to show up this afternoon, (11/12/24), and were supposed to call us late morning with a time but still no word at 1:30.

If they do show up I’ll edit my post to reflect that but still makes no sense to me that I have to pay for a repair that I was told by a company rep would be free.

From the estimate to completion of my roof, my experience could not have been better. Everyone I dealt with conducted themselves with professionalism. I was contacted by email to keep me informed every step of the way. G & W has my highest recommendation.

G & W repaired a section of our roof that was damaged by solar insulation . They did a a great repair job in a timely manner. The repairmen were friendly and courteous!

I needed some shingles replaced and secured before I could close on selling my home. I called G&W and told them what I needed done. They sent a rep that day and set up to repair the roof three days later. The workers came, were friendly and informative.Fixed my roof in a timely manner. I was able to get on with selling my home. Had two other roofing companies come to repair my leak with no success g&w came did the inspection and repair bingo not one drop of water not even through the hurricane they were prompt respectful and they did the job highly recommend them

They did a good job on our roof but damaged our Sunroom. They have yet to fix it. they kept making promises and would send someone to do half a job but in the end, their word is not their bond.

When I handed them the check after the roof was done and they promised to fix the damage they caused, I should have listened to my gut and said you get this check when you fix it all.

I was not going to leave a review but they texted and email me to do so. Be watchful with them and do no trust their word.

Due to the overwhelming needs after the recent hurricane, it took a bit of time to get the work done. But once the crew arrived the job was done expertly and professionally. I'd recommend G&W to all.

Had some missing shingles from Hurricane Milton. Cory came out and did a thorough inspection of our roof and he was able to do the repairs the same day. We were able to see the before and after pictures of the repairs. Cory was friendly, knowledgeable and addressed all our concerns. Great customer service from scheduling the appointment to completing the repair.

They (Chad) did a good job once they finally showed up! They called me on Friday and advised me that they would be here mid-morning Saturday! We waited all day for someone to show or call, but they didn’t! I called them late Saturday and got the runaround! By Monday at 10:00 no one had called so I called them again! After several different transfers, they finally got us scheduled and showed up and completed the repairs. No apologies or explanations as to why they never showed on Saturday!

You guys put a new roof on my house a couple years ago and during this last hurricane the roof cab shingles blew off I called in. They scheduled a time appointment for me. Showed up on time and fix my problem promptly. Thank you very much for your hard work.

They were very careful about our property and such. Done in two days and looks great. Referred my oxygen supply man and he will be calling for estimate. His name is Rob and he works for Lincare Oxygen.

Had several shingles broken by Milton. Called G&W on Saturday. They said they would by by Sunday afternoon. They arrived on time did estimate and I Prepaid because of my logistics. I was told it would be 3-6 weeks I asked for sooner but again told 3-6!weeks.
3 days later I get home my neighbor tells me roofers were here while I was gone.
I went on roof work had been completed as promised. I can’t thank them enough no worries now for any future leaks in those areas. I highly recommend them.

I can't say enough about G&W Roofing. I called just asking about a repair because I had a couple leaks. Gerald Young came out to my home the same day I called. He got on the roof just to see what needed to be done. He nicely said I needed a new roof (No pressure) and actually but some brandades on the area of the leaks but said that more should be done. He explained the whole process in terms even I could understand. I told him I would think about it. Around that time, I was refinancing my home and VA appraiser came to the house and pointed out some rotting wood in my soffits and facia but never said anything the roof. I could see that I needed to replace the room and called Gerald back. The next day the roofing crew showed up and started. It only took two days. Everyone was so nice and repaired everything even some facia that I asked them to do. The Roof was done in just two days. In 95-degree heat. What was even more amazing that after the two drooling days cleanup was wonderful. Justin was my project manager and took good care of the workers. His bosses also came to check on the job. I've used G&W on a few new construction projects my company has completed recently. After the last storm a down spout with only two straps blew off a two story structure we built. I asked G&W to simply utilize the original undamaged pieces and re install considering they performed the original work for us. Dave with G&W submitted a ridiculous proposal for $600.00 to re-install a single downspout. As a business owner looking out for my client I was insulted and despite calling G&W for an explanation for such a ridiculous quote, I have yet, weeks later heard word from any of there representatives. G&W emailed me for a review and this is my most recent experience.

G&W Roofing did a great job for several reasons: they were the ONLY company that followed through on request of an estimate. They came out the next day and gave an extensive, detailed and professional estimate complete with a packet full of information. We had called three other roofing companies in the Port Orange/Volusia County area. G&W were the only ones to call us back.
Mr. Gerard Young answered all our questions and remained in contact through the initiation of the job. Once the job started, they stayed in constant communication keeping us appraised of progress and expectations of completion of the job. They also were diligent on cleaning up the debris and construction waste. Kudos to all the employees, field and office, they were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. G&W did a fantastic job and made this a stress free situation. Their workers worked from sunrise to sunset and got the roof completed under 4 days beginning to end.

Update: hired G&W to do another roofing job for us, our shed roof became damaged after the hurricanes this year. They did an excellent job. Cannot express enough how much we appreciated their consistent communications and follow through. You will not be disappointed with G&W, their entire staff is excellent!

I am beyond satisfied with the quality of work and customer service. We had some mild damage from the hurricane. Folks came out promptly to assess the damage, and the repairs were done in less than a week. I would recommend G&W roofing to anyone.
