I prefer to give zero stars, but this system will not allow.
I am making this post on behalf of my dad, Lewis Mitchell.
Since the announcement was made about Frontier being acquired by Verizon, the service has gotten even worse, if that's possible.
My parents are both elderly with severe health issues. Their phone has been out since July 9th. Three weeks ago my dad was told to give them 24 - 48 hours to fix it. Again that was three weeks ago - Nothing!!! Two days ago he was told a service person would be there around 2:00pm. Needless to say no one ever showed up. Two trucks went by my parents house, but never stopped. My great aunt lives several houses above my parents. She also is elderly with severe health issues. Her phone has been out the same length of time.
My dad is now so frustrated with this lack of help, that he is changing services to Shentel.
Maybe it's a good thing there will no longer be a Frontier Communications business. With service like this, they do not need to be in a customer facing business.

This is the worst internet you could possibly get. This is no exaggeration worst internet service i have had to use. I pay over a hundred a month for this garbage. Do not buy, if its you're only option don't get it and you'll be thankful you didn't. 0.5 stars this is awful.

Ordering service from them goes quite well but EVERYTHING after that is rotten. This companies processes and delivery of services are loaded with incompetance which ends with customer or potential customer disapoingment - with a rating of 1.6 I am obviously not the only one. Looking all around West Virginia ratings above 2 seem non existant. Sorry Frontier but you should consider another line of business.

WORST INTERNET SERVICE EVER. Customer service was just to get a temporary fix. Please mind you I had to use FAIR SHAKE to actually get a technician out after a month of absolutely no internet service. I was told nothing about any cancellations that happened every time a time was scheduled, Late for work 4 times month behind being mislead to believe someone was actually going to show up. Look up their lawsuits and 10/10 it’s for something you and others can say you’ve experienced. They’re advertising something they fully aware they can’t provide

Worst telephone company in the history of the world. I am sure Ma Bell is rolling in her grave knowing this is what service has become. Our phone is out days and weeks at a time. This time they don't arrive on scheduled day to repair. Frontier phone service is just what the name implies....like living on the frontier

Frequent billing increases w/o notice NO UPGRADES in service capabilities. Our area is still using old copper wires spliced together!! Then they have the nerve to advertise Fiber. Terrible but they know there's not much competition in WV. Thanks Manchin(D) and all of the gullible Rs that cut a deal with Frontier

because once I got internet ordered I was so excited until the day of my installment came and they said they couldn’t put it in because the cable people didn’t install it. Spent the next 2 days trying to get ahold of an actual person. The stupid AI that answered my calls kept hanging up on me because it couldn’t find my account. Finally someone called me about it and told me in would probably be months…… MONTHS. not days like I was told MONTHS. so yea no terrible service. I’ve now been trying to cancel and that make it about impossible and I still haven’t. I can’t get ahold of anyone to do so. 0 stars

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Frontier did our new customer install but said that the internet we're paying for requires two lines, and the house we just moved into only had one. They had the contractors come out and dig us a new line and said that another technician would come out to install it within a few days. Eric, the frontier technician, came out to do the final hookup to finish our install, but could not access the internet box because the previous owners had put a protective metal case around it. He gave me his personal phone number and said to text him when we got the box removed and he would come out right away to finish the install hookup. It has now been almost a month of us not having full internet that we're paying for because he reported our install as being completed. I had to open a new ticket, but because of how limited the technicians are in our area, we have no date or time set for the ticket and just have to use internet that is at half the speed and connection that we're paying for until they decide it's convenient for them and finish the install.

I got the 2 gig fiber internet but it took a while to get it working...installers came with a router and I told them I didn't want their router and would use my own...they couldn't get 2 gb internet working with their router and left saying it would take a few days for it to start working...a week later and it wasn't working so I talked to their teck support and they said they would send me a router and I agreed so I got their router a week later and hooked it up...during the week I waited I noticed in my account it said 2 gb internet in process of activation...anyway, their router did start working so I removed it and put my Netgear Orbi in and it works great...I think their tech people don't seem to know much about what needs to be done...I had 1 gb and it should have been a simple setting at Frontier to upgrade it to 2 gb...I'm afraid to take their router back because they might reduce the speed lol.

Not even worth one star this company has consistently lied to us about late charges we weren't late on, would not refund the late fees or waive them we had proof they made mistakes and refused to put the feedback into my account when we complained about our service not working they made excuses and tell us it was our end finally after having enough of the drama we wentwithanother company and they offered us a refund as we had just paid. Then upon calling and asking where our refund was they claim there's no knowledge and we were late on a previous bill and even with proof they stated they would not refund us

I scheduled installation for Dec 21, 2023. It snowed, so they rescheduled me to 12/28. I wait all day for nothing. They reschedule me to 1/4, then 1/5, then 1/15 & now today (1/18) but never sent confirmation. So I call them, & I’m told that services aren’t available at my address. After being told for a month that the only issue was the previous customer at the address never disconnected. (They just left services on with no payment for months?). So how did the previous tenant have services if they’re not available? Don’t waste your time this company is nothing but a headache.

Terrible service. I never leave reviews but Frontier come on you need some serious evaluation reviews a reconfigurations. Can NOT reach a live person once you have already opened an account an that’s sad because certain circumstances need human interaction. Please go back to the drawing board and fix all the issues YOUR customers are telling you. Your rating shows the lack of good services.

They never showed up to my installation appointment. Didn’t even have the decency to call. If that wasn’t enough, they sent a text at the end of the day rescheduling it to the next day, then didn’t show up to that either lolol. Then they sent a text the next day that it was rescheduled a third time to another day after two days now had already been wasted waiting on them with zero communication. I reached them a few days later (couldn’t get any help by phone or chat on the weekend even though they advertise differently…) and when I finally did talk to them it took an hour and a half for them to cancel the order and stop the loop of scheduling/no show/rescheduling, because now they are not welcome anywhere near my home. Shame on this circus of a company.

I work from home and the service went down. The soonest I was told a tech could get out was a week from when it went down. I was also told they would “expedite” the service ticket, but had no idea when it would be taken care of. I switched based on promises of speed and reliability. Well….it doesn’t matter how fast it is if you cannot keep it running. Suddenlink wasn’t as fast, but they were a hell of a lot more reliable. I’ll likely end of switching back.

I called Frontier to inquire about services as two of my neighbors have Frontier currently. I was told no service was available at my address. I stated a neighbor, 300 feet away, has Frontier. The rep became hostile and names three possible reasons as to why I can't get service. As I started to ask another question, I was interrupted and told to have a nice day as she hung up on me. I would NEVER recommend them.

I try not to leave negative reviews because I make mistakes all the time, but there is no reason for how poorly the communication is within the company and to the service technician that was dispatched to resolve our business issue. We had 3 phone lines down within our business which is the lifeline to our revenue, took them days to get someone dispatched, and when he finally came, he only repaired one line because he said he didn’t have a repair order for the other 2 phone lines. Now they will re-dispatch someone tomorrow to come back to the same location and hopefully repair the other two lines. It’s very frustrating when you pay thousands of dollars a year for internet and phone and have to beg for hours to get a timely repair, to then not have it complete.

I’ve been without internet or home phone for 2 weeks now with no end in sight. It’s been out since the Thursday before Christmas it’s now January 4th and nobody has even been to my house. As far as I’m concerned frontier has ruined my Christmas and the start of the new year. My kids still have Christmas presents that they can’t play with yet because they take an internet connection. I would never recommend them to anybody. If I could give them less than one star I would.

You're service needs some work same with your customer service reps you're really going to suspend service 6 days early then claim you sent out a letter (to which we never received) then get hateful when we're trying to figure out why? You wonder why nobody wants to keep your service. The world we live in now and the people in it. Yall DO BETTER

If I could give zero stars I would. Internet is down for days/weeks for no discernible reason. The current outage will be 14 days tomorrow with nothing done about it. I get told that they are aware of the outage in my area but it’s a “common ticket” so I’ll be waiting a long time for any tech to come a do anything about it. Waiting for the day Verizon Fios comes to Beckley; competition might improve your reliability and make you care about your customers.

I scheduled for someone to come out and install my services on the 16th of September for today October the 5th between the hours of 1pm and 5pm. Well not Only did they not show up they soap didn’t call to reschedule. I’ve been given the run around all day and never really got any information really to tell me what happened or what’s going on. While ask the representatives were nice and trying their best to help i feel like this was just really an unprofessional situation on the company as a whole part. I’m very disappointed at this point.

Very rude workers. Parked their truck behind my car so I could not leave for my college classes. When I asked if I could leave they told me it will only be a few more minutes. I told them i needed to leave and they said “well sorry”.

They left five minutes before the class started and it takes me about 25 minutes to get to campus.

Hopefully I will not get punished for this or I will have some talks with whoever supervises this business.

The individual tech was great but the company as a whole does not seem to have their act together. I was told I would not be billed until installation was complete. They forgot to send a tech back to complete my installation so I had to call and ask them to come back over a month later after the initial tech visit. They sent me a past due notice without sending me an initial bill. I wish there were other affordable options for internet service in Southeastern WV. The internet connection is fairly reliable so I am not completely unsatisfied but wish customer service was better.

Update: $50.00 cancellation fee in addition to your final bill.

Update: Unreturned equipment fee for equipment I returned. ZERO STARS

Tried to visit but I hey don't see customers at this location. I got my wifi 7/5. It hasn't worked since last Friday because had power outage. Called a few times but for some reason they can't find my account. Using name or phone #. Finally some one found it was telling me things to do. She finally gave me my account #. But it doesn't work in the system. I could also tell in her voice she was getting rude. Then she said the office in Charleston was also having issues. That I would get an email & as of today I haven't heard anything. I finally sent a message to Michael that signed me up. He is going to come see if he can get it working. It is great to know someone there is willing to help me. Because at this point I am ready to turn it

Scheduled an install for the new 2gb fiber that they are advertising. Everything was confirmed I took off work and waited all day they never showed and after waiting half an hour on hold to the call center they did not get another technician out to install the service and said they would not waive the activation fee even though they not than breached the agreed upon install time window. There was a two week lead time and they scheduled a 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm window there's no excuse for this poor of service.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Our internet has been out since July 8th, two weeks and 3 missed service appointments later, we still have no service. I’ll be contacting our senators and public service district reps to report the banana republic monopoly Frontier has in Southern West Virginia. Absolutely unacceptable.

Absolutely terrible. Moved and scheduled my service to be set up. Waited weeks and they canceled my order the day of installation and everyone I’ve spoken to says there’s no reason it should have been canceled. Now they have to redo the entire process over again and I have to wait weeks more for a new install. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible service. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If it wasn’t the only service in my area I absolutely would not be reordering .

Worse service WV has ever had! The the internet and phone stays off more than on they continually charge for service you don't even have TV channels etc if there is an issue it can sometimes take up to two to three weeks for they even make it out to you to fix the problem do yourself a favor and go ahead and get Suddenlink

The service this Internet provides is terrible! As you can see by all of the other reviews it is not just me providing you with these negative types of experiences. My Internet has been out more than it’s been in since we’ve had this provider. Warning stay away and he’d all of the above experiences! If you do not you get what you get.

They lied to my father in law about his bill and internet then when I called about the bill being so high told me it would be back to normal the next month however they charged him for long distance calls which he was supposed to have unlimited calling within the USA when I took the router back the person working there said they couldn't take it to give it to a man in a Frontier truck he stated they haven't used those routers in years...

Biggest joke I’ve ever heard. I have been calling for over a month about the WiFi because it keeps resetting itself and nothing stays connected. After waiting on hold for over an hour MULTIPLE times on the phone and on their chat option they haven’t even tried to fix it or to make it right. The calls keep getting “disconnected” and they give excuse after excuse. Frontier internet service sucks and their call service is just as bad.

What service? My phone goes out and they say it's fixed. Less than twenty four Hours, it's out again. This has gone on for years. We have repeatedly called them days on end. I'm disabled with bad heart and lungs, we cannot get cell phone signal in my area. I have informed them of this. A month of no phone service then they say fixed. Twelve hours later out again. I pray they see the need for the elderly and set things straight.
