Dr. Roof, Inc - Seaside, OR

They redid my roof and my gutters and I was very happy with the look of it. A few years later, I had an issue with the gutters and they came out and repaired it quickly. Great customer service. Happy I went with them!

First started with few phone call before finally reached an actual live person. Explained too Lisa the receptionist that I was looking for a bid on metal roof their in seaside. She explained that no one is their to handle the call and would take my info. Called back again few days later as they had not responded and said I can easily send you truss plans and design to take a tear off which most all roofing companies would do. So I sent her email and said someone would call back. Another few days past and still no response. Mind you the house is literally 1.5 miles away from their office. So 10 days later had passed and at this point I had already sent out for 3 other bids and they all came in with 1-3 days. Their are two main metal manufactures Asc and Taylor metal. If you send them truss plans they will get back to you within several days which I also had back and new cost of materials. This started March 9th and by March 23rd I received quote only because I sent an email back to them on how abs their customer service was. Who ever manages the bid process needs to do something different. Tom finally sent me a bid and after all the hassle abs wait time their bid was the highest by over 5k. Cmon....Then I received another call and he was following up on why I sent the email complaining. I told him service and response time was horrible and know one follows up. He said that he follows everything through Crm and saw that. So if he follows everything then why didn’t he step in and expedite things. He also said I don’t need the business meaning I basically am nobody just wanted my feedback. My feedback is what you see above. If your in seaside are and coast call weather guard in Longview ans or sawtooth in Portland. They both will get you answers and actually come look at the place as well and their an hour plus away. Dr roof only has 4 stars as well. That is saying something

Don’t use their white vinyl type roof. Condensation has destroyed the sheeting and roof starting to leak all over. Less that 10 years old. Called the first time after thanksgiving they let me know on the day of December 23 and after showings them the leaks they tell me it doesn’t leak.
I’ve called them 4 more times with no response.
Time to elevate the situation.

Sorry to say that we recently had a very disappointing experience with Dr Roof in Seaside, OR.

We called Dr Roof on Monday, September 20 after noticing water intrusion issues that appeared to be coming through the roof or siding at our house in Manzanita during a recent rainstorm. They said that it was the busy time of year and may be a few days before someone called to schedule a time to identify the issue and repair. We received a call two days later and agreed to a time the following Monday afternoon (9/27). Monday arrived and we received a call that morning that the technician was on a major job elsewhere and would not be able to break away and we would need to reschedule for later in the week.

On Wednesday (9/29), the technician called and apologized for not being able to make it on Monday and that he would be able to come to out house on Friday (10/1) morning after he got the crew going on another job. He said it would likely be around 10 or 11 and would call when he was on his way.

On Friday at around noon, after not hearing from the technician, I sent a text to the technician asking him for an approximate time he would be at our house. He responded, saying he did not know what time he would be there, but it would be later that day, explaining that he had two workers not come in that day and he had to work on another job. It is now Saturday, 10/9. It has been over a week since that communication from the technician and we also have not heard anything since then from anybody at Dr Roof.

It is certainly understandable that things come up unexpectedly and schedules may have to be adjusted. But it is extremely disappointing that the technician did not have the courtesy to call back and explain his not being able to make it to our house that day or to reschedule for another time. Furthermore, the fact that nobody from Dr Roof contacted us to explain or to reschedule is a clear indication to me that they do not care about our immediate need or keeping us as a customer of their company.

Dr Roof is amazing. I have worked with a number of contractors in the area, and for workmanship, professionalism and response speed, Dr Roof exceeds all expectations. They not only responded to my request for service quickly and efficiently, they took the time to walk me through the projects, so I was comfortable with all the work they were doing. The project manager, Jeff, was responsive to our questions and the intricacies of our specific job. In a region inundated by moisture their work is amazing. I will definitely be returning to them for any additional roof or siding work.

Contacted Dr Roof for roof leak repair on a rental home the first part of January. Initial response was ok, scheduled appointment was mid January. I heard nothing and emailed for status first part of February, reply was not informative or helpful at all. Requested information and work proposal. Got no response. Emailed office end of February with complaint of lack of action on the leak repair. Have received no response. Now early March, and no action, not even a proposal. Very unhappy, Tennant is angry. I can not recommend.

True construction professionals. Price was right & the work is guaranteed. This is no "Chuck in a truck". These folks do what they say & say what they mean. I am sick & tired of contractors who come out, give an estimate - you never hear from them again - the price changes - they show up, start a job & then they don't finish it. Loads of excuses - if you can even get them on the phone! This is a REAL company that actually does the work the way you would do it - if you owned a construction company. I didn't have to chase anyone. My calls were always answered live & I always got through to my estimator or my project manager. Worth every penny! Let's get real...this is my precious home & I want the best for it & these guys are the best. Patrick held my hand through the entire process, after I had signed w/Brad. I love my new roof, deck & siding. I am now the envy of the block :)

Dr. Roof has the BEST customer service. They put on my roof and have serviced it without question. I am now getting windows and I and amazed at the level of expertise. The installer Arthur is a genius AND he cleans as he goes. I could not be happier with this level of service, it's rare these days!

Excellent work quickly completed. Dr. Roof replaced my roof and waterproof deck surface. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and competent. I've had no issues with the work as completed.

Dr Roof removed and replaced a simple roof on our home in Astoria. They were neat, efficient and very professional throughout the process. I would recommend them to others without hesitation.

I am very glad I went with this company. My flat roof (on the Oregon Coast) finally has protection from Mother Nature.
I have already recommended them to other people.

The work done by Dr.Roof's sub-contractor on our kitchen remodel is excellent in it's quality, though their timeliness, short workdays and the usual remodelling " surprises " left us without a kitchen for nearly 3 months. Love the results.

Dr Roof found the roof leak around our chimney and had it repaired in less than one day. Very good service in Seaside Oregon

Great experience with Dr. Roof!!! Very efficient, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive to the job at hand. Have used Dr. Roof several times and each time the work was done in a very professional manner. The workers really work hard and clean up when done. I will always call Dr. Roof when needed. Highly recommend!

Dr Roof installed new windows, a storm door and flooring to enclose a previously open porch. I was very satisfied with their work, and with the workers they had on-site. I would hire them again should the need arise.

Had a small job that other contractors felt wasn't worth their time....these guys did the job, and did it well.

Dr. Roof went above and beyond to help us out! We were out of town-two states away-when I contacted them, needing a roof inspection and possible repair. They were on site within the hour! That day I had a full report with photos, an estimate, and a time set for a crew to arrive the following day to begin work. They even found an area of rot on the house that we didn't know existed! The workmanship is beautiful. The rotted area was repaired and blended as if it had never been damaged, and the roof looks amazing!!! It cost us much less than we'd thought and the quality of work and attention we received-while not even having to have been there-was more than comforting. Dr. Roof is clearly a family company. Who else would you call while out of town for emergency help to fix your house, but family.

I've paid Dr Roof over $4000 for a deposit for a new metal roof. It's been over 2 months, they took my payment but still have not put me on their schedule and given me a date for the work to be done. Every time I call them, they don't return my calls. They also don't return my insurance company's calls. Terrible customer service and now I guess I will have to file a better business bureau claim to get my money back. And I will have to hope that my roof lasts another coastal winter in the meantime. I should have given my business to another company and perhaps I'd have a roof already.
