Do not ignore the bad reviews! We did and very much regret it. We have been using this company for close to five years for roof maintenance and repairs and had some great experiences with them, but this time was regrettable to say the least. They are perfectly nice people until there is an issue and then they are nasty and rude.
We received a quote for a roof replacement due to a large leak in our roof. The person who quoted the roof came into our home and was shown the area where the leak was as that was our biggest concern. It took a few months to get into the schedule so they came and did a temporary fix to the roof to prevent any further leaks until the roof could be replaced. This is to say, they definitely knew this area was a concern. The crew came and replaced the roof over four days. My husband went up onto the roof after they left and noticed several of the canales were almost entirely sealed shut with tar and a covering that had fallen down accidentally, rendering them useless (photos attached). They came out and fixed this portion.
That same day, my husband started tearing out the drywall of the ceiling where the largest leak was to repair it and found they did not replace any of the boards around that leak. They were moldy and one was even completely splintered and structurally compromised. I was in the room when they were fixing that canale the next day and the guy’s boot almost came through the ceiling. With the invoice they sent pictures of the job. There is a section where they show areas of the roof with all of the tar and gravel off before repairing any boards. This specific area of the roof had no pictures included with the tar and gravel off. We thought this was a bit suspicious.
When we sent them a picture of the boards from inside their response was, “OMG! I am so sorry. Leaving the canales like that was bad enough. But this is unacceptable and they will certainly hear about it.” They admitted it was unacceptable. This was not fixed for a further 2 weeks which rendered our bedroom unusable as well as required more time out of our house due to the noise and smell as we have two young kids.
When they reached out to close the invoice I raised my concerns and disappointments and was met with a very rude response from Theresa. She cut me off at every opportunity, told me we should be lucky they aren’t charging us extra for the part they came back to fix, blatantly told me I was lying about the canales being sealed shut, and that any extra time out of the house was “your choice.” She told me all of my concerns were “irrelevant” and that they had no way of knowing the moldy and broken boards were bad from the roof, so that isn’t their fault. She sent me pictures from when they fixed it where you can see the damaged portion, even in the poorly lit photo (attached, circled damaged area). It seems the crew and front office do not communicate because we were told several other items would be done before we close out the invoice, none of which were completed.
I am extremely disappointed not only in the job that was done, but by the rude and unprofessional response I received from Theresa. I would not suggest this company to anyone.
