27 May 2024
Diamond Ridge Roofing installed my roof and new gutters on 08 & 09 May 2024.
My roof was 20 years old and had lots of hail and age damage. Cody, the Owner/CEO had sold me the roof and stayed with me during each step of the process. He explained the damages, took several hundred pictures of the roof throughout the process to show me and my insurance company. He was very good to explain the process along the way and answered all my questions about the process between his company, me and my insurance company.
The office manager, Jenna, was very prompt on all paperwork (forms) and written communications. l was well informed of the process and steps that needed to be taken along the process.
On the day of roofing, a crew of 8 began work at 0630 and finished with cleanup at 715PM for my house (55 squares of shingles). Materials were delivered the day before. Cody remained with me most of the day to supervise and and answer any of my questions. He told me that whoever “sells” the roof, stays with you from start until project completion, so that person knows exactly what is going on and where they are in the process, taking pictures for proof of work and materials for them, your insurance company and you, if you wish.
We selected the roof shingle color and gutter colors with Cody. The gutter company measured the house for materials on the morning of 09 May and had them installed in 4 hours that afternoon.
Cody was very meticulous about cleanup after all the work. In addition to his crew’s cleanup, he came back after each phase to cleanup extra roofing nails, paper, plastic, etc.
Overall, I was very pleased with the company’s work. I was kept well informed on paperwork, work schedule, timing of the works and insurance paperwork follow up.
For my house, we selected a TAMKO brand, impact resistant, 40 yr shingle. Impact resistant shingle is a heavier shingle, with better hail damage protection to your normal architectural shingles with a 40 vs 30 year life. These shingles require extra detail/requirements during installation to protect the warranty. As an example, these shingles require 6 nails per shingle vs 4 on lessor shingles for protection.
I will continue to use impact resistant shingles on any of my houses in the future. Why?
Well, in my particular case for my homeowner’s insurance (size of house, roof, etc) my insurance premium for June 2024 - June 2025 will be 51% LESS than what I would have been paying without the new roof. I had heard rumors of a customer saying they had saved 27% which I thought was very good. I was not expecting the size discount I received and very well pleased.
I can definitely recommend Diamond Ridge Roofing should you need a roof or damage repair.
They made it almost a no effort process for me and breezed us through the work from start to finish. Oh, and they are not high pressure / “today’s only price” type of company.
