Absolutely love working with Dalton! He has done several projects for us and he is always our first call. He is very thorough in walking us through all our options and what the best value is for each option. They do it all. I would give them 10 stars if I could!
UPDATE: Everything I'm about to tell you happened in January and my last contact with Dalton was March. I'm going to post pictures of what was left at our house and let you decide if it’s good work while I talk about the process. We began planning this with Dalton in May 2024. We wanted a metal roof for better energy efficiency and longevity. We also wanted to raise the ceiling in the primary bedroom and lay the groundwork for a rooftop deck. We were originally quoted a price around 30k which we were told would likely go down over time. We agreed to do the project in January because we would be away and we would get a lower price for off-season work. We went to visit family for the holidays. Dalton called us almost every day. All was going well. The 2nd week of January we came back to the new decking on the roof extension. We also noticed that the HVAC was disconnected and there were holes in the ceiling. Dalton came over to talk to us about next steps. I wanted next steps to be getting my metal roof. At this point we've paid 24 or 26 thousand dollars on a 28k quote which included the roof priced at about 13k. I still have that invoice, btw. All of a sudden, the price starts to go up and that 28k invoice was for the "deposit." We were unhappy with the sucontractor who had put all the holes in our ceiling so work stalled while Dalton looks for a new subcontractor. But a large portion of our roof is just plywood decking and it's January. It snows, it rains, and water is pouring into our house and we are begging Dalton to send someone over to cover the roof. Which they do, badly, and the tarp comes off overnight. My husband and I put up new tarps ourselves. Our tarp was more secure than the one Dalton's team had put up and stayed there until we got a roof. We had to call 3 roofers to come out and give us a quote. This cost us an additional 12k and we didn't even get the roof we wanted--we went with the quickest thing we could get--shingles. Dalton’s team asked us early on if we would like to rent the dumpster ourselves and save a little money. We said no assuming this meant that they would rent the dumpster and it might cost more but would be wrapped up in the job price. NOPE. They just threw all their used materials in our backyard. I only thought to take pictures after we had moved and gotten rid of most of their junk ourselves. These pictures represent a 20th of what they left in our yard but are representative of the condition. Dalton texted right after we had put the deposit down for the new roofer. We told him we'd put a deposit down with someone else. He said he understood and would cover the cost difference. So, he owes us 12k. Our reason for doing this was to save on our utilities but we've had crazy utility bills because a large portion of our house was nothing but plywood for months. The HVAC system has been disconnected from the back of the house causing extreme temps. The pipes froze despite our best efforts so we had to fix that too. Between the water pouring into our house and this humid summer I fully expect to have to do mold remediation at some point. And we didn't even get the roof we wanted. Finally, if you're wondering why we didn't/haven't sued, it's mostly because we put half our savings into this remodel. The money we didn't spend on the remodel with Dalton we've spent on fixing the damage. That's what we do now: we work, we save, and we put our house back together as we can afford. So, in that sense, it was a great con job because it left us without the resources to fight back. There’s much more I can’t mention due to character limits but I’ve heard Dalton might be going by IronHorse construction now so be careful.
10/10 experience. Dalton and his team were amazing to work with. Dalton listen to my needs and exceeded my expectations. Our fence and concrete were exactly what I need and more. The fence is beautiful and it all came in right on budget.
That was the other part that must be known. I set a budget and they stuck to it and that was very important to me. If you are needing anything done for your home this is the place to do it.
I will definitely be using their services again in the future.
Dalton was great to work with and gave me the best price out of several quotes! I have definitely found my roofer and gutter guy for life!
