Customers are fully satisfied

If you are looking to redo or have work done to your roof, you can stop now...Cougar Roofing is absolutely incredible. I truly can’t say enough good things about them. We had a new roof installed on our 115 year old home, as well as the original carriage house. From start to finish, they went above and beyond—not just with the roof work, but in every interaction. They were kind, respectful, and deeply empathetic to our needs and concerns with retaining the historic qualities of our home.
Their communication was flawless—always clear, timely, and professional. We had so many details involved in our roof, including fixing and rebuilding a second-story deck off of our main bedroom using a walkable membrane, and they handled every aspect with precision and care. This included cutting out, reframing, and rehanging the original door that actually hung better afterward than it did before. That kind of
attention to detail meant the world to me.
This was a huge undertaking for us and one I thought would be stressful and scary. I felt that Don, Jerod, Miguel, and the whole team went above and beyond to make me feel assured and peaceful about the entire experience, with beautiful results that will give us a lifetime of confidence and security in our roof. They truly helped us preserve the historic charm of our home while giving it the protection it needed.
If you’re looking for a company that cares, communicates, and delivers top-quality craftsmanship with heart, Cougar Roofing is the one. I’m beyond grateful...and you will be too!

I HIRED Cougar Roofing to perform a roof inspection after purchasing a 12 year old home in November. They quoted approximately $250 over the phone for the inspection. During their "inspection" they said everything looked great and provided some details regarding the roof condition. They said they would be in touch within a month for debris removal and roof cleaning and I could pay for the "inspection" and cleaning/debris removal at the same time. Cougar Roofing never followed up with me. I never heard from them again!
Last Friday (three months after their "roof inspection") my wall developed a large water bubble behind the paint. I left a message for Cougar Roofing on Friday evening about the wall leak. I was concerned and confused about the leak. I expressed my concern and the urgency of the matter in the voicemail I left for them.
It has been a whole week and I still have not heard from Cougar Roofing! In the meantime my home inspector came out and reported the roof was leaking around some fasteners on the roof. It was not leaking around any repaired areas, it was leaking around fasteners. I wish Cougar Roofing had paid closer attention to detail during the roof inspection and told me about the leaking fasteners during their inspection in November or at least returned my voicemail regarding my roof leaking.
To clarify, I never asked for anything "free." I was very clear during the initial communication regarding the roof inspection for a home purchase. In addition, if Cougar Roofing would have followed up as they stated they were going to do regarding the roof cleaning, they would have been paid for the inspection and cleaning. The inspection was free because they never followed up, and I am not going to beg a company to do work on my home. Also, just because something was provided "free" as they are claiming, that is not a reason to perform the job substandard. I would have gladly paid the $250 that I was quoted for a detailed, thorough, comprehensive roof inspection.
I am also not implying Cougar Roofing is responsible for the leak. However, for a business with an "impeccable record for 25 years," how difficult is it to spot a faulty fastener on a roof? You are supposedly a roofing expert with 25 years experience who goes "above and beyond." A home inspector found the faulty fasteners but a 25 year experienced roofing company couldn't tell me these fasteners needed sealed or replaced?
This company lacks customer service skills, reliabality, thoroughness and attention to detail. And instead of owning up to their mistakes of not following through with their word, not returning a voicemail, and not performing a comprehensive roof inspection they want to debate my review.
The ethical thing for Cougar Roofing to do would have been follow through with their word when they said they were going to return within a month to clean the roof and collect payment for all services, return a voicemail left about a leaky roof, and first and foremost take the comprehensive roof inspection serious!

We were very happy with the roof that Cougar Construction put on our house. They were very professional and the work was completed in a few days. The price was worth the product they provided. I would recommend them to anyone who is planning to replace their roof. We are very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
