Five stars is the highest rating I can assign Columbine Roofing & Solar. I'd give 10 stars if it were possible. The Columbine team, which functions like a family, is that good. Wonderful people, from the owner and founder, Jeremy Riehl, to his aunt, Maria Riehl, who initially reached out to me with an incredibly generous offer to repair my roof, which was damaged by an organized group of roof scammers known as the Irish Travelers (two of whom have been arrested!!!).
To begin at the beginning: At first, it appeared my insurance company would not cover the damage to my roof (the extent of the scam was not then known, and my situation was initially considered by the authorities as a "civil" matter). Columbine reached out to me and offered to repair all damage, to include replacing my roof, if necessary (which turned out to be the case), on a pro bono basis (i.e., to cover any and all costs that insurance couldn't or wouldn't). I cannot describe how relieving and reassuring getting that call was.
Though my homeowners' insurance is now covering a good portion of the damages that occurred (including a complete roof replacement), Columbine expedited the replacement, repaired hail damage (that occurred in late May) to the roof of my garage pro bono, and included other pro bono items -- starting with temporarily securing the very damaged roof twice (in advance of impending storms), making additional upgrades not required but beneficial to the quality and duration of the new roof, providing interior and exterior painting, and using higher quality materials with extended warranties, etc.
All told, my understanding of the added value (donations of labor and materials by Columbine) not covered by insurance range from $5,000 to $10,000, possibly more.
On top of that, Columbine expedited the roof replacement, completed it essentially in one day, kept me informed of the work during every step, worked with the insurance adjustor, and were wonderful in the way they interacted with my neighbors and in the thoroughness they displayed cleaning up my property and an adjacent property when finished.
Eleven people total in the Denver metro area were "victimized" by the Irish Travelers that I am aware of. Not only has Columbine delivered on every commitment made to me, but they have extended an offer to all other "victims" to perform pro bono repairs not covered by insurance. In short, Columbine is single-handedly demonstrating that many roofers and contractors in the area are legitimate and, speaking personally, they have reaffirmed my faith in the decency of human nature.
Below you can see "my story" from start -- initial vandalism -- to finish, a completely replaced and inspected state-of-the-art roof on my house and pro bono repairs to my garage roof.
I would be remiss not to give a "shout out" to the Columbine team -- Jeremy, owner and founder, Maria, liaison and "director of communications", Martin and Pedro who did initial securing of tarps to protect the damaged roof and performed garage roof repairs, respectively, Chris, Cody and Juan, project managers (and great people), Victor (painter), the Gutter Guyz (sub-contractor), and Sandy, who expedited permitting and final inspection.
As I mentioned above, with Columbine you get a family and are treated like family. Communication and coordination from the git-go till completion were excellent. The Columbine team assert that they value their customers; their actions bear this out (and then some). Once I engaged with Columbine, all I literally had to do was be available and watch the progress. It would be an understatement to say I am "satisfied", because I am delighted. You will be too, I believe, by choosing Columbine.

They replaced my roof and did an excellent job! They came when promised, and completed it in one day. They were very accommodating to my special needs. Amazing! Cleaned up completely! I recommend them without reservation.

I just read a story about several elderly homeowners in Congress Park who were scammed by two guys who deceived them, swindled them, and then destroyed their roofs, and that Columbine Roofing was going to repair their roofs for free. That’s worthy of a 5 Star review.

From the insurance inspection to the replacement of my shingles to the day all payments for the project were completed, each person we worked with was pleasant and professional. Every promise was kept. The new shingles look very good The project was completed on the same it started.

We tried to use them for our roof and eventually gave up

-they promised to send a representative to meet the insurance adjuster when they were at the house. This was scheduled weeks in advance and I verified I didn’t need to be there. Two hours before the adjuster was set to arrive I got a text that their representative couldn’t make it. I was in a flight at the time. There was no one to meet the adjuster

-after several weeks my quote was prepared. I had a zoom meeting set at 1130 to get the quote. I left the call at 1140 after no one turned up. Sent an email, no response, no apology, no acknowledgement that they missed yet another appointment

-several weeks after that the office manager emailed me something meant for an internal employee. When I replied that I had no idea who those people were she sent back a snippy email explaining to me that they were MY CUSTOMERS and I should speak to so and so about it. Do….. do you think I work there?

Could not have been a worse experience.

I understand you have been busy, however when you talk yourself up and make promises to help with the claims process and then flake out last minute, it has financial implications for me, and that’s unacceptable. Everybody’s busy and other companies seem to be able to keep it on lock.

I was more than pleased having Columbine Roofing & Solar replace my roof. I felt like I received personal attention and was able to get to know several staff members as they led me through the process, brought samples to my house and explained every detail. All appointments and days were on time - bringing the tiles, bringing the dumpster, then the actual work. The workers were respectful of my property, put plastic/tarps down all around my house and worked efficiently. There was a manager present during the day of working to oversee the work and answer any of my questions. They finished in one day and their cleanup was impressive. They went around my home with a large magnet to locate lost nails, picked up all trash and used a blower to clean my driveway and front porch. I highly recommend Columbine to replace your roof!

Update..... Buyer beware..... These guys suck. I thought this was the same company I had used before. Nope, they just have the same name cause the company I used to be merged. The quote i got was a good quote. When the roof was done, they wanted 10 grand more. When I asked for a full breakdown of materials and work, they kept telling me to talk to my insurance. Well, while all this was going on back and forth, we got a wet snow, and my roof leaked. In my home. They did come out and "fix it." 2 weeks later, another sow storm and still leaks. This time, they got it fixed, but no one ever tried to fix the door jam it was leaking on. Now my door jam is warped. Well, I'm talking to the insurance about a few other hail repairs, and they said they had already paid me for them. Need some paint and a few other things. I got another company to come out and look at things and got quoted a little over 5 grand to fix things this roffer got paid for. They reused the hail damaged skylight flashing. (That won't be covered by insurance. They pu 3/4 in of caulk on part of the roofs trim to fix the leak. And that wasn't the problem. To have the trim replaced, i will have to pay for sideing repairs cause removing the trim will tear up the sideing. They left a 1 inch gap between the flashing and the house. I could keep going. These guys suck. They are always local company that act like an out of state money grab roofers...... Original post...... These guys have been great. This is the second time we have used them. They are always helpful. They have even saved us money. In the past, we had door knockers say we need a roof. They convinced us we needed a roof. But I had my questions. I called them up, and they came out and showed there wasn’t any damage and started answering all my questions. I asked them if they could send my insurance company their findings and said no problem. They took the time to work with my insurance company to close a false claim from another roofing company. That’s when I knew I would always keep their number and use them if we ever had an issue. When we had the hail in May, I called them up, and they came out, worked with my insurance, and got my roof replaced. The old roof was nice, but their workmanship is top-notch. Thank you, guys, for everything.

This company has been a dream to work with. They have kept us informed every step of the way. The workmen were courteous and efficient. They were very careful to clean up after they were completed and also cleaned up our neighbors from nails/debris that fell beyond our fence because of wind. I DEFINITELY will use them again and would not hesitate to refer a friend.

Columbine roofing gave us a great experience, they communicated with us before, during, and after the roofing replacement. They cleaned up really well and had a more competitive bid than anyone else I contacted.

We found Columbine roofing to be super honest and they definitely stand behind their work. Last year, we had 3 local roofing companies inspect damages to our roof. Roofing Company #1 wouldn't give an estimate and said to file a claim with insurance and they would accept that insurance payment and replace roof. Roofing Company #2 Gave us over $10,000 quote to replace roof. Columbing Roofing came and said roof was fine, just needed repairs, came in under bid even because it took less time than quoted. A month later a storm ripped their repairs off the roof, they sent a seasoned team that stood behind their work and fixed our repairs and explained what went wrong.
They stood behind their work and we were out less than $400. Our roof will need replacement in the next few years, and we will definitely be calling Columbine Roofing!

Highway 66 merges into one lane on the west side of I-25. Apparently columbine roofers can use the side walk to travel over 40 mph west bound to pass everyone else waiting and squeeze into!!

I met James at the the Spring Home Show in Longmont, CO. I knew that we would be
needing a new roof for our mobile home.
We called him to come and give us an
estimate. We wanted to do the job once and
have it done right. He explained the different
products he offered. We got a second
estimate, but the other company could not
give us what Columbine offered. We chose
Columbine Roofing and the premier roofing
materials which gave a transferable lifetime
warranty. We also had new gutters installed
since the building codes had changed. They
let us know when the supplies were to be
delivered and how they were going to
proceed. This gave us ample time to notify
our neighbors of the work being done. They
took care to protect our garden and the
building perimeter during the project. They
cleaned everything up meticulously and
replaced our wall art and the wasp traps.

Columbine Roofing performed a complete roof replacement -- and very expediently. They arrived at 6am, and completed the entire job by 2:30pm. It looks beautiful. These folks did a great job repairing flashing around my rebuilt chimney and replacement of some damaged shingles. I really appreciate their work and would absolutely use them again.

Jeremy and team were incredible! We couldn't be happier with the process and final product. Jeremy actually honored an expired online deal, worked diligently to make sure we avoided pandemic-related cost increases, and worked after the sale and installation to make sure were totally happy. Which, of course, we are!

Would contact the insurance company if they determined it was to complicated for me which turned out to be everything. Very patient with the payment by the insurance company.

They were very professional and quick. Was replacing roof for safety reasons, never went with the many that came to the house for free Inspection. I saw the yard sign and came on here and started researching different companies. And glad I did Mike took care of us and the current home owners( they now have a new multi-decade lasting roof).

Columbine replaced my roof after hail damage. There really is no such thing as a "cheap" roofer, so don't bother looking for that, you will likely end up with poor results. The cost is the cost. However, they were easy to work with, professional, and we had no issues.

They were very good with the time and the manitince of getting the job done I really liked how the owner of the business was also on and doing the job as well he made sure it was tookin care of and done right.

I had another company replace my roof and they didn't do it up to code. Needless to say I had to have the roof redone and Columbine replaced that roof. They did a fantastic job and it was a pleasure to work with them. The price was great and we would definitely use them again.

We had our roof replaced before moving into our new home. They provided the hail resistant shingles which saves on our insurance. This was all done before moving in. They communicated well and cleaned up well which we appreciated since we have young children and were hoping to not find nails and other unsafe leftover items behind. Columbine has installed two roofs for me on two different houses. They also have installed new gutters and attic venting in one house. Columbine is an excellent company. Columbine Roofing is an honest business. I hired them for my roof installation and they are professional and responsive, from the beginning the representative kept me in the loop by taking pictures of my roof and showing me the damage as well as responding to my emails and/or phone calls. They were clear on the price and never wavered. Their employees are respectful and clean up after their work. It's rare that I provide recommendations, however this company is legit.

Would recommend to anyone. Update: When my roof needed a minor repair adjustment a year later they were super responsive, came out quickly and knocked it out no problem.
