We were in search of a company to get an estimate for some damage and work through insurance , Nick came out and assessed the damage and was prompt and very professional . He also made the process so easy as too what I thought would be stressful and a nightmare turned out to be amazingly easy and to the point no sales pitch just good honest communication and was always there for any questions I had without being pushy. I can’t thank him enough for all his work!

I'm very pleased with my experience with Clear Cut Xteriors so far. A friend recommended Nick Engelmeier because Nick did a great job with his roof. I gave Nick a call in a bit of a panic (I had a short timeline for when I could get my roof redone and still get my insurance company to cover it) and Nick was able to come over that very same day, talk directly to my insurance company, and get things moving to meet my timeline. He's definitely made my problem his problem which is very much appreciated.

My roof was nearing the end of its life, so I reached out to several of the major roofing companies in the Twin Cities for advice and estimates. Jesus Sanchez climbed up on my roof, took pictures, gave me recommendations, and presented me a very fair estimate. None of the other roofing companies did this. He was professional, the job was done quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. He communicated with me throughout the entire process. I could not recommend him more highly.

Anthony was incredible! He came HIGHLY recommended in a facebook group that I follow and I'm glad that I went with him! We were having issues with our house insurance threatening to drop us if we didn't remove the Lichen from our roof! He was quick to respond, removed the Lichen and debris from the gutters, our roof looks (almost) new and so clean and pretty :) AND we were able to get the insurance company off our backs! I would recommend him 100x's over! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!

I had other storm damage companies come out and say we had damage. Anthony and his crew stopped by and reassured me there wasn’t enough damage for a claim. That’s huge! Saves me from having insurance policy issues, and he showed me the current quality of my roof. Solid, reputable, and honest. Don’t bother working with anyone else!

Clear Cut Xteriors is putting a new roof on our house next week. Anthony drove up from The Cities yesterday to pick up our down payment! Because of my broken ribs he decided to shovel our steps to the driveway and our porch steps before he left! Can’t thank him enough, very much appreciated! Difficult to find that kind of customer service these days!

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Clear Cut Xteriors. We were working directly with the owner/CEO and he was fully aware that we were working with an insurance claim and even acknowledged that our insurance company was slow and difficult to work with. Despite this, he initially agreed to complete the roof without requiring payment upfront, understanding the situation.

However, the project was handled very unprofessionally. We were provided with a start date, but the materials were dropped off in our front yard a week earlier than expected, with no prior communication. The materials sat there for 1-2 days without any updates. We had to reach out ourselves, only to be told that they were starting the roof earlier than planned and that the crew had been in an accident, information we were never proactively informed about.

During the repair, they found additional issues with our roof but made the repairs without consulting us first and we never signed an agreement for the repaired. To make matters worse, they directly contacted our insurance company to request payment for the extra work- again, without informing us. We only found out when we received a bill from Clear Cut Xteriors demanding twice the amount our insurance had already approved. We reached out to the owner/CEO to question why the bill was higher than the approved amount, and were told that our insurance had approved the additional payment they requested. When we followed up with our insurance, we were told the additional claim was still under review, contrary to what the owner/CEO had told us. While we remained patient with the slow insurance process, the owner became aggressive, sending threatening text messages and pressuring us to pay out of pocket. He even threatened legal action in an attempt to intimidate us.

I would not recommend working with Clear Cut Xteriors if you’re dealing with an insurance claim.This entire process has been stressful and unprofessional. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and harassment we experienced make it impossible to trust them. If you’re considering hiring them, beware of their tactics and ensure everything is clearly documented before work begins.

I just have to say dealing with having my roof replaced was not something I looked forward to doing. A special shout out to my representative Crystal Miller she made the process smooth from start to finish, she was responsive to my many questions and concerns. The roofing team did an excellent job and completed according to schedule.

I had my roof inspected by Anthony following a storm in June. While he didn't find any damage to the roof itself, he did notice that the sealant around the skylight and vent pipes was dry and cracked, and the seam where the attached garage meets the house also need to be resealed. He told me it wasn't urgent; however, I should consider getting things taken care of before they become a problem. A couple days ago Jesus came and resealed around everything. He also noticed that a couple of the vents were not secure, and he took care of securing them. When he was finished, I mentioned that I had a section of siding that had come off up on the peak of the garage a couple years ago, and it was up on a shelf in my garage. He asked to take a look at the area, and he was kind enough to reattach the siding for me. I received great customer service from Jesus. I would recommend Clear Cut Xteriors LLC to anyone looking for a trustworthy company.

Wonderful service from start to finish! The team showed up promptly at start time and helped me move my boat trailer into the street from the driveway. They finished the job ahead of schedule and even moved my boat trailer back into the driveway before I got home! Great work from a friendly team.

This is a follow up review. Anthony installed the Iko Dynasty shingles on our home about three years ago. The crew did a fantastic job. We were very happy. Since then we had a significant hail storm and the Dynasty shingles help up with NO DAMAGE. I would highly recommend the Dynasty shingles AND Clear Cut Xteriors.

I have not liked past inspectors. They felt too pushy and just out for a buck. I had Toure'? from Clear Cuts out and he was so relaxed, not rushing and just made the whole, very overwhelming experience great! We've seen their work before from friends and were already impressed. But a knowledgeable and personable rep sold us!

Guys were great when it came to speed, abilty and punctuality but damaged some minor things and appeared to try and hide it from us.

These guys know what they are doing. They know roofing, siding, gutters, and the insurance process. They aren't booked for months. Their communication is great! Call them for your next home inspection. They will be honest with what they find and never leaving feeling pressured or with out options! Also, Jen is awesome!!!

Anthony and his team did an amazing job working with my insurance company to get my roof paid for and replaced. Initially State Farm only wanted to replace a few shingles but Clear Cut Xteriors was able to convince them to pay for a full replacement.
The team sent out to replace the roof was professional, efficient, and got the job done perfectly with no damage to the property or nails left behind. I would highly recommend Clear Cut to anyone needing a new roof!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It has been nothing but a nightmare from day 1. I was told things would be done that weren't. I was told that they would replace damaged sheathing - promised on multiple occasions which I clarified over a dozen times since the claim first opened over a years ago. Had I not actually been present when the roofers started putting on the new shingles I would never have known that they were trying to avoid doing this. EVEN THOUGH 4 sheets were included in the bid. Roofers were very disrespectful - too long to even get into. They caused major damage to my gutters which they refuse to take responsibility for. The damaged my fence, destroyed a window well cover, totally destroyed about 25feet of garden fence (about $100 worth) and totally smashed a solar light. They badly damaged my gutters because they leaned their heavy ladders up against them. AND THEN DENIED that they had caused any damage. Even though I personally witnessed them put the ladders directly on the gutters on multiple occasions. (That included multiple supervisory and management staff) WHO DOES THAT??? That should be a no brainer! They DID NOT protect my gardens as I had been promised multiple times and killed what the draught hadn't yet, although with the drought most would have come back. They pounded and ripped the shingles off then just threw them over the edge onto a few tarps that had many many holes and had haphazardly been thrown down not even covering the area. The manager was supposed to come out and unlock and lock the gates each day they were there. HE DID NOT! EVEN THOUGH I spoke to him many times before they started and texted or called every day they were there So the roofers were hauling debris over my old wooden 6 foot privacy fence with total disregard for my property.
They did ZERO cleanup. I came back from a short vacation to find roofing nails everywhere - visible to the naked eye. In addition many many LARGE and small pieces of cut flashing. I have 2 dogs so this presented a very dangerous scenario for them. I HAD BEEN PROMISED that after the roofers were done that one of the managers would come out and personally do a walk through and run through with the magnet. THAT did not happen - well at least the cleanup part but no way he could have done a walk through as I have 6 & 8ft WOODEN privacy fences with deadbolt locks (live in the inner city). Their excuse was "well you have a lot of personal property". A TOTALLY irrelevant argument because I moved EVERYTHING out of their way. THEY DID NOT cover anything up and what few tarps they did throw down (literally - I watched them), had holes in them and didn't cover critical areas like the dog house - something that I was VERY specific about and later found SIX nails and 2 pieces of shredded very sharp flashing.
I insisted that they come out the next day and do cleanup. Several managers came and ran through the yard. and they got an entire gallon pail worth of nails. Plus multiple pieces of large and small asphalt/roof material, chunks of flashing etc etc. And even after that I have found dozen and dozen of nails and shingle pieces and flashing. SOME is to be expected. MASSIVE AMOUNTS that are sitting on top of the roof, on outdoor rugs, on the sidewalk and deck so visible without even trying to find them are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Since then I have also found at least.a dozen cigarette butts in my yard. I do not smoke nor does anyone I know. And no one else has been inside my secure yard so it has to be them.
And through it all - all the hassle...ALL my time & stress in dealing with this.....ALL the damage they did to my property....they have continued to be dismissive and REFUSED to take responsibility for anything - blaming me instead. There has been no reimbursement for the damaged gutters. None for the cost of paying my handyman to replace the window well and fix the front gate. NONE for all my time in doing cleanup myself and on and on. INCREDIBLY DISRESPECTFUL & UNPROFESSIONAL!

I had a big storm roll through and had mega hail damage to my house & garage roofs. Melvin worked with me and helped me understand the insurance issues and my house & garage roof were completed in a half day. There was no yard mess and everyone on the crew that I came in contact was friendly, courteous and pleasant. I highly recommend this company and if you are lucky enough to get Melvin for your project manager, you will be in good hands!

Jesus was really fantastic! He got our claim through insurance when others could not and we got the damaged roof replaced when we were giving up on the whole thing. If you have a tough claim with your insurance, go with Jesus. He’ll get it done for you if anyone can.

UPDATE: Clear Cut Xteriors reached out to me and they are working on a solution to fix some of the subpar sections of my siding. I've reflected that in my overall 4 star rating.

First, let me say this company was professional in my various interactions with them. I was treated well, and the price for replacing my siding was competitive. It wasn't a horrible experience overall. This isn't a bad company.

However, after taking some time to look at the details of the new siding when the weather warmed up, I noticed the quality of workmanship is lacking. It wasn't a clean and professional-looking siding job. Most of it is fine (average), but there are some really bad spots (see pics). I perhaps should have looked closer before the job was finished, but it is what it is. I may have to clean it up myself or get a friend to help.

One other note is that it did take a few weeks to finally get everything done. Some of that was due to weather, but some of that was due to something on the company's end.

"PURE EXCELLENCE"... From the time Maddison knocked on our door until Daniel (supervisor) & the crew drove away, we received the absolute best service anyone could ask for! They put their heart & soul into everything that had to be done.... It went from a simple hail damage roof replacement to one of the most devastating news throughout our roof but everyone from this company handled it with PURE EXCELLENCE and everything was done within 48 hours!! An unbelievable experience with confidence, quality, & the absolute best customer service anyone could ask for! We are extremely impressed!! Daniel & his crew worked with heart & soul workmanship!!
