Chelsea Lumber Company - Saline, MI

So far I really like this place. Huge selection of lumber of course. They have a nice selection of tools, hardware, paint, cabinets, etc. in their store that I didn't expect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll be sure to return.

Was hopeful this would be our spot to get doors and some fencing installed. Went to the store to get information about doors, left our information since the main contact wasn’t there, and unfortunately no one ever got back to us. We also inquired about fencing while we were there. Waited about 15 minutes until someone could talk to us about it and suggested we schedule a time for them to come out to quote (which was two weeks out). Today was the day they were supposed to come to quote and no one showed up and no one called. Wildly disappointed and would not recommend.

I’m not a fan of Chelsea Lumber in Chelsea. But the Saline store is good. Easy to work with and efficient. Mark Lenhart, Mike Morris and Tony Goodloe are former Fingerle Lumber employees that work at this location - ask for them to help you.

My go to for all things building. Great staff and great atmosphere. No one will take better care of you and your project.

We went to get estimate on a new pole barn. Talked to Brandon Smith and he is very knowledgeable and quite nice. Wouldn't definitely go back. Oh I also bought 2 Adirondack chairs. Love the colors and price.

Went in for 3 items - sandpaper, cabinet replacement hinges, and pulls and knobs for a china cabinet I'm updating. I got sandpaper. They couldn't help with hinges BUT gave me a very promising source! If successful, will return for complimentary pulls and knobs.

Scott the deck salesmen was very informative, and took his time explaining everything and then some. I would send everyone building a deck to Chelsea lumber.

Fantastic service and high-quality lumber! Chelsea Lumber, particularly Doug Holzer were instrumental in helping me, a relatively inexperienced DYI-er build my dream deck and Pergola! I had a rough design but Doug helped me choose the right sizes and materials to make it happen. This review is a little overdue as this project happened in Summer 2020 but even during the pandemic, the staff were courteous, professional and honest. Even when I had the occasional board that was damaged or warped or something, they had no problems exchanging said pieces, no questions asked. At the end of the project, I had leftover materials that had sat in my driveway for 3 months and Chelsea lumber still gave me a full return for every extra single board and fastener. I would highly recommend this local supplier for all your home improvement projects over the big-box stores. The level of service was night-and-day. Thanks again Doug for helping me build the coolest deck in my neighborhood!!

Chelsea Lumber is great! We bought a complete set of kitchen cabinets and countertops through this store. Jennifer helped educate us, created an awesome design working within the constraints of an old house. She worked with us through the whole process to create a kitchen with character that we love. Even after the order was complete, she helped resolve a problem with the cabinets and made sure we were satisfied. Integrity and follow-through that you will not get via the 'big box' route. Thanks!

Chelsea Lumber Co is my new go to for building material. They are friendly and have quick delivery. Prices are much better than big box stores and delivery fees are very reasonable.

Have to say, I'm less than impressed. I went in to buy a new picture window and 2.5 weeks later, I still don't even have the estimate promised on 7-5-19. Mike Kemp stood me up for my appt to measure (he forgot), then pretty much blew me off when I called on the 8th looking for my estimate promised on the 5th! I guess spending between $3000 -$4000 isn't enough to warrant any kind of customer service. Why would I hire this Co. to work on my home when they have no respect for me or my time? I went to Mans Lumber in Canton and had a wonderful experience. I had my estimate 2 hrs. after they were here to measure. I ending up buying my new window that same day after they came back out to go over all the details and re-measure for accuracy. Go to Mans Lumber, you won't be sorry.

All around great place. If you are remodeling a kitchen or bathroom, make sure to see Marty. She is the BEST!

Great price but the customer service left a bit to be desired. I was waiting at the counter to pay for over five minutes.
UPDATE: I went back again, this time I was immediately helped by a very courteous and friendly employee. Much better experience this time around!
