Nice to be able to get quality lumber at a fair price with an equally helpful staff that you just can't get in these Big Box Stores.

Called to see if they had drip edge for pole barn 1.5x3.5 brown color. Was so happy that they told us they had 246 pieces. We traveled 45 minutes one way only to find out they don't have it in stock.What a waste of time and expense of diesel fuel. I regret not asking the name of the person whom I talked too. Would give zero star but one is the lowest.

I drove over to Chelsea Lumber today, fully expecting to pay $2,000 or so for a new door to replace one that is giving me problems. Instead, the wonderful salesman walked me through my problems and showed me how to correct them. I am so grateful. The replacement parts on my successful DIY repairs cost less than $30. You can't beat that kind of service!!!

Have ordered several orders from here for a deck project. Wood quality for Pressure Treated Wood is awesome. Staff is friendly and deliveries are affordable! Delivery drivers always super awesome and helpful. Will always come here first when starting projects!

Went in to correct an issue with a previous quotation that I have made for my Eagle Scout Project and the staff are very experienced and very patient and understanding. I can guarantee my business to this company for a lifetime. Just overall amazing people

Turned back to Chelsea Lumber to receive the help I needed to correct an issue with another vendor my contractor forced me to use. They are patient and understanding. At the end of the day, they do everything they can to meet the needs of their customer.

We ended up going with a different company for window installation because we were on such a tight budget with so many projects going on, and just needed to go with the cheapest possible. However, I would have loved to use Chelsea Lumber. Considering the superior installation method and quality of materials, not to mention supporting a local business in our community, it definitely seems worth the price, which really wasn't that much more than the large budget-friendly huge corporation we went with.

Donovan went above and beyond to answer all of my questions, even when he knew we were likely going with another company. He was very communicative, thorough, and kind. I will definitely be using Chelsea Lumber for more projects in the future.

Asked for a estimate on a lumber package, doors, and windows for a new house build (roughly $80,000+) Was immediately told no we will not price match any other reputable lumber yards, "heres the thing, we know we are going to provide excellent customer service and our lumber is going to be of high quality. Were just not interested in chasing that tail around". Ok, well I will still see if their competitive.... fast forward 3 months when i get a call "do you still need a quote on that lumber package?" 3 MONTHS!!! for a simple estimate. Window guy never did call with his estimate. I waited many weeks for those estimates, I needed them for mapping out the project cost. They cost me time and money. This is far from excellent customer service.
I went with mpc cashway lumber, had lumber numbers within a week and windows same day on a saturday! Thats the customer service and respect you should receive.

Matt and Cassie came out from Chelsea Lumber to look at some old windows and doors in my 1955 house to determine if they were repairable. Both Matt and Cassie have extensive knowledge, as well as hands-on experience. And you couldn't ask for nicer people. They ended up fixing one of my windows and didn't even charge me for it. What a blessing for a small town to have a great company like Chelsea Lumber to help with home projects!

In a world where everything is so impersonal I am pleased to say that Chelsea lumber still has the direct personal service from a staff of people that know their products and what they have in stock. What they don't have they gladly and quickly order but if they know who has it they let you know where to find it. I guess they don't worry about losing a small amount of business because customer service seems to be their goal. They are a well stocked lumber yard and building supply house, not a big box store. I can get in and out of the store with everything I need for a project quicker than searching in the typical self serve store like menards or lowes.
Their yard hands load for you, nice touch!

Best place you can ever shop for lumber or tools they know their stuff and they have everything in stock. Very nice people behind the counter to very helpful and knowledgeable

Had Chelsea Lumber do a large project on my house about 2 years ago. Windows, deck, gutters and siding. All the windows frames on the inside are cracked, and the caulking job was not professional. The large deck they installed has now bowed. The siding in numerous places still falls off the house. They started with a Amish crew which was highly recommended by their staff. Cigarettes all over the yard along with candy wrappers I still find every day. They had another crew come out and complete the job. Horrible company just making a dollar off of big projects. Paid them a lot of money and took advantage of my age. I’m young so fell into them telling me they would do it right. Two owners and the guy that sold me on stuff came out and I asked them “would you put this on your house” there response was you get what you pay. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. They had to side contract a couple guys to come finish the work

Walked in just now, not one person acknowledged us, walked around the entire store, many sitting at desks not doing anything, we were looking at flooring next to Lady sitting at the desk, less than 10 feet away and she also never said a word, way to lose out on $6000, went down the road instead.and gave our money to chelsea plank flooring.

The staff are always so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Always a joy to shop a locally owned business. Not to mention the quality of the building materials are far better than the big box stores.

Great! After looking for a week for a couple of things I needed around the barn, I was across the street from Chelsea Lumber, so I decided to try there. Not only did the counter salesman lead me outside to make sure which product I wanted, and then suggesting what may work better for a sliding door latch that I had chosen also. Very friendly and helpful too!

Person service, huge in stock selection. Special ordering too. A great base of knowledge to help you with projects. if you are handy but don't know exactly how to do it they will give you the guidance.

I was the last person out the door, had to have it. They went beyond normal to help me. THANKS!

Very thorough and attention to detail. May take a few more min. to deal with but they make sure everything is correct b4 you go!
