I'm sorry to say, this is the first negative review I have ever posted. So disappointed with Builders FirstSource. Ultimately, though, this was our bad. We ordered a delivery of lumber for a garden fence. They had stock, made the delivery on time, but we REALLY should have inspected what they sent. The 4x4s, especially, were in very poor condition. One had cracks running on one side from top to bottom, another had black spray paint on it. There were areas of damage on almost every post. One of the 2x4s was so warped we later bought a replacement from Lowes. Our post installers never said a word and put the posts in as is. We STRONGLY recommend that you choose your lumber yourself before having anything delivered. Otherwise, you won't thank Builders FirstSource for what they send you, and neither will your project.

This is a great Lumber yard ! We ordered new windows for our house, Cory helped us both times . We had an excellent experience with Cory ! He was very helpful and patient with my wife and I. He was very good about calling when the windows came in from the Milgard plant, We got a fair price on the windows and we are glad to deal with a local company. I highly recommend Builders ! We will use them again and thanks Cory for all your great help !

Polite employees and reasonable prices. If you need a board cut you can buy it and they'll cut it unlike Lowe's who will only cut panels.

Always the most well informed/knowledgeable staff! If they don't have it in stock, they can get it within a day or two. They always have a solution or advice on materials and products, sometime products I did not even know existed! The yard crew is always so helpful as well. Great place to do business!

It is a great service having staff help load vehicle and their prices are the same as the big box stores despite the extra service and not having to wait in line to check out. I always get my lumber, sheetrock, and insulation here.

Large store inventory with small town service.
Shane was a wealth of knowledge wrapped up with seemingly infinite patience. He had answers plus inventory and prices to compete with the big box stores. Customer service is important to me and ProBuild has won me over. I'm now a repeat customer.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
