"Our team...noted "significant prior damage". But that's simply not true. And how does adding in thin strips of Tyvek under the repaired laps, along the house back wall benefit me or keep the elements out?

And even if all that you say is true, how was a single man with 2 ladders able to fix all this "significant damage" in 2.5 hours at a tiny fraction of the cost?

This review is not about the quality of work of Beyond Exteriors. Nor is it about their responsiveness (it was good). They have a cool website with drone shots and photos. It's more about the sky high pricing and the attempt by the company to justify that pricing.

I have some holes in my dutchlap siding that were caused by a tree fall and so was shopping around the quote to different contractors. I had a spare box of the exact siding that matched the broken siding, so all the contractor needed to do was show up and get to work. There were perhaps 18 pieces (it ended up being 14) of siding (each piece measuring no more than 12' at most) to remove and replace. I was asked by Belinda at B.E. to take pictures and send them in for analysis. I did so, giving multiple angles and putting in dimensions. So far so good.

Then came the quote: $4,470. Now I've done my share of exterior siding (mainly cedar lap siding), so know a thing or two about this kind of work, though the two types are different. I knew that this job would probably require 2 guys on ladders who could finish it in ~3 hours. I was wrong (see below), I was told by B.E. that the quote "may be higher than you were expecting (they were right about that) however, your project is more complex than it seems." More complex? Well, there was an approximate 7 degree ground slope, which is nothing at all for people who do this work. I was told that they wanted a sales consultant to talk to me and explain why it was so complex and required such a high price. On the quote, they talked about having a "site superintendent" and "job foreman" who would keep a close eye on the work. Goodness, is this really needed for replacing a small number of Dutchlap siding? Would they rope off the area with caution tape and wear hard hats too?

I also got a quote from another company (American Windows) that normally was only in the business of doing entire houses or entire sides. They would make an exception in my case, but their job minimum was $2,000. Now we're talking. The price was already more than halved and there was no estimate that told me it was a "complex" job or that site superintendents were needed. In discussing further with representative Ed, he decided it was in MY best interest to refer me to yet another outfit that specialized in my siding work. He actually turned down business so I could get a more suitable contractor. Now that's dedication and honesty.

I contacted Jorge at sidingdoctor.com. He too looked at my pictures and gave me a quote that knocked my socks off. $580 for everything. He showed up today on time and...ALONE. Just one guy with 2 ladders, and within under 3 hours, he single handedly finished the entire job and it looks absolutely amazing. He's a magician. I ended up paying him a couple of hundred more just because it was such a relief to find an honest contractor who actually gives a fair quote and does quality work --- too fair in fact.

Since COVID, I have found that all contractors (exterior, interior) - not only Beyond Exteriors - are now charging exorbitant rates for even the simplest of jobs just because....they can. And they try to explain their high quotes with unnecessary extras like job foremen and site superintendents, or attempt to make a simple job seem complex.

I'm sure B.E. does quality work. So does Jorge. He just doesn't charge anywhere in the same galaxy. Thanks Ed at American-Windows, and Jorge the siding doctor for doing me right.

I was extremely impressed with Beyond Exteriors. We had a huge tree fall and crush our garage late at night. I called Beyond Exteriors right when they opened and they were at my house by 1 PM the same day to do urgent and temporary repairs including temporary supports and tarping. We had a huge rainstorm right afterwards and the interior of our structure stayed dry. they also worked very hard, were honest, thorough and charged a very fair and reasonable price. You can't ask for more in an emergency.

They showed up on time just as scheduled and completed the job the same day, quality workmanship and highly recommended!

We had them do our roof a while back and after raving about their fair prices and timely installation I realized I never wrote them a review. Beyond Exteriors were awesome. They did our roof a few years ago and were really thorough and inexpensive. We were dreading the expense but after a visit by Andrew Maravas, he accessed the condition of the roof and what options we had. The price was reasonable and fair, the quote was comprehensive and detailed. All issues were addressed. They were fast and efficient and reasonably priced. They are so thorough with cleaning up everything and worked until they finished that same day.

Fast forward many years, and the facia on one side started to come off. This was due to birds and their nest, in addition to the rough weather that came through. One call to Beyond Exteriors and a crew quickly came out a few days later and attached the wayward piece of wood back where it belonged, without charging us! Their actions have made us loyal customers, and we highly recommend this company without hesitation.

I had some roof damage and contracted Beyond Exteriors to fix it. Their price was lower than other estimates I got, and they worked with me to schedule the repairs ASAP. All the work appears to be done very well.

We chose Beyond Exteriors because they were easy to communicate with and their price beat the other estimates that we received. Then, throughout the scheduling process, their office was very clear about everything and easy to get in touch with. The work was done impeccably, and the manager on site on the day of the job was very particular about cleaning up afterwards; they finished late in the day, but he stayed to check over all of the work areas multiple times to make sure that everything had been picked up. We were very happy with every step of the process, and we will absolutely use Beyond Exteriors for any future projects we have.

Final product seems fine. Only issue I had was with the schedule, which the roofer blamed on rainy weather. Several of my neighbors signed service agreements in some cases weeks after we did. Yet, their new roofs were completed before ours - they managed to work with the same weather!

Beyond Exteriors is a great company. Their name is fitting and their service is top notch. The whole Team was very helpful through out the process in getting a new roof. They never treated us as a number and worked with us tirelessly. Special thanks to the whole crew - Linda, Belinda, George and Andrew. They cared and took the time to explain things. Way more helpful than any other Contractors and even our own insurance. You could also tell the Owners knew what they were talking about, had pride in their business and that the customers come first. Very professional. Will recommend.

Very accommodating and attentive to my needs while doing my kitchen remodel. A lot of phone discussion due to work travel but they came out on the weekend to review next phases. Had some challenges with an out of square house but the crew made it work and it looks good.

We had George come diagnose a ceiling leak and patch the roof, he was very informative and the whole process was easy from start to finish, would definitely use them again

My entire experience with my project team (on-site and office) at Beyond Exteriors was fantastic--very professional. They performed not just the work I needed, but made some minor courtesy repairs of issues they identified during my project, which entailed a small vinyl siding repair. The work was explained to me before and after, which I really appreciated. Everything was left very clean and the pricing was as discussed. I have some other projects planned and will be contacting them again.

Excellent service and high quality installation of replacement gutters on my house. It’s my second time hiring the company and I couldn’t be happier. The outstanding communication by Andrew and the whole team was what really set them apart from others. The co-owner, Andrew, was superb. He called ahead of time and spent much more time than I expected, assessing a troubling issue with our roof so that I would be informed and confident about what was going on. Andrew also provided me with the name of another company who could help me with a repair that Beyond Exteriors couldn't. It was not simply the excellent customer service from the Front Office to the on-site visit but the overall attention to detail and pride in being clear that impressed us so much!

I reached out to Beyond Exteriors to get a roof inspection and an estimate for recommended work (especially after a series of nasty storms earlier in the year). Out the gate, Beyond was extremely responsive, kind/professional, and flexible. I had changed my appointment date multiple times and explained my concerns...they worked with me through it all! Andrew (the technician that came out to my home) was knowledgeable and thorough.

The entire team we worked with at Beyond Exteriors was by far the most professional company we have work on the exterior of our home. In the past Beyond Exteriors did roof repairs for us, but recently they replaced two types of roofs on our house, shingled and flat roofs.

The team is proactive and communicative, they informed us during each phase of the project what we needed to do, what the costs were, and followed up with us that we were happy with the work they did.

We were extremely satisfied with the entire Beyond Exterior team and the work they did for us. The team that did the roof installation took great care of our property and were considerate of our neighbors while they did their work. Beyond Exteriors was exceptional to work with for our siding repair and vent cover replacement. They were efficient and reasonably priced and kept me informed every step along the way. I cannot thank George, Belinda and Linda enough!

I contacted Beyond Exteriors to come to my daughter’s home and give an estimate on several items that needed repair. Andrew came to her home on January 21, 2022 and walked the property gathering the information he needed for the estimate. A week later, January 28, 2022 after not receiving any information or update, I contacted the office and spoke to Belinda informing her that we had not received anything. She informed me that she would reach out to Andrew and get right back to me. It’s been over two weeks since I spoke to Belinda and three weeks from the initial visit from Andrew and we have had no response from this company. It was very disappointing and a total waste of our time.

2 years after installing a new roof and adding insulation to the attic, I noticed the attic fan was running a lot more than it should. Beyond Exteriors came out and figured out that an electrician that had done unrelated work in the attic was the culprit. They fixed it, and didn't charge anything.
It's pretty hard to find a 5 star roofing company, It's even harder to find one that stands behind their work and will come out and address issues years later.

I am writing to commend Beyond Exteriors team and Andrew personally for honesty and transparency in their conduct. My insurance company identified an issue with our roof and I had a few contractors come out and issue a quote. A lot of contractors gave me quotes for things that needn't require fixing and were misleading. Andrew's solution was the most optimal, effective and addressed the problem raised by the insurance company correctly. Andrew even provided photographic evidence (as we can't go to the roof ourselves). I will rely of Andrew and team for any issues in the house in future related to roof and anything else. I highly recommend their services- they don't charge for estimate, so please reach out to them.

We were having a hard time finding a company that would take on a small siding repair job and thankfully Beyond Exteriors took on the task and did a excellent job. My experience with Beyond Exteriors is truly beyond my expectations! I have two stone balconies (flat roof) leaking badly. Beyond Exteriors helped to remove the existing concrete and stones, added proper slope, replaced with water proof Duradek, re-attached the gutter with proper flashing. Solved water leaking problem for good! From beginning to end, the company demonstrated their excellent customer service and professionalism with superior expertise.

In office Linda is super friendly and efficient, always follow through with calls and timely appointments. Estimator Andrew is very knowledgeable, explained the problem and present the solutions with clear pictures. Andrew is very responsive to follow up questions regarding the proposal, always answer my questions within 24 hours, compare to other companies I have to wait for days to receive email response.

My project manager George is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the subject! He clearly communicated the process, challenges and expectation with me. Patiently answered my questions and concerns. Working with George is like having a good education process, not only got the problem solved, but also learned quite a bit on the subject. The process took three weeks due to heavy rains, at the end of each day the workers cleaned up the work area; if forecast rain the next day, they wrap up the balcony with tarp really well. When project completed they did a very good clean up as if they never been here. And it's worth to mention that with the record heavy rain in July, there is not a drop of water leaked from the balconies!

Working with Beyond Exteriors is truly a five-star experience! If I have roofing or siding needs in future Beyond Exterior will be my first choice. And I'd feel confident to recommend Beyond to all my friends!

Used Beyond Exteriors to repair some missing siding 30 feet up. We did have some problems with the initial work, but without resistance they came back out, made the requested adjustments and we are now happy with the work. Overall a good experience. Should also point out that they provided an estimate quickly based on photos I provided. They also correctly pointed out some siding damage that I was unaware of and which also needed to be addressed.

Several years ago we used Beyond Exteriors to replace the roof on our previous home. We
were so impressed with the extensive knowledge of Andrew, their sales rep, the quality of the work when the roof was completed and their superb customer service that when we needed gutter repair work on our new home we called them. We already knew their prices were fair and competitive so didnt feel the need to get other estimates. Once again they proved we made the right choice. We first used Beyond Exteriors to repair some trim around a window that was leaking, and were so happy with the work on that small job that we had them replace our roof and windows several years later. I’ve worked with Andrew Maravas for several years on various projects and the work, the products, and the customer service has always been exceptional. Kudos to the front office customer service team as well. Everyone is courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful.

From day one when I called various company they were the first to come reply and come out to quote.
Cory did a good job explaining who they would fix my sliding that recently blew away while a few others came underdone.
We agreed on a price and said someone would reach out to me for payment and project coordinating/scheduling.
Within a day, I was introduced to the project mgr and they schedule my small project.
The installer came out fixed the issues.

Beyond Exteriors was easy to work with and very responsive. The quality of the installation and the communication from the onsite workers and office were excellent. Highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

Mediocre, too expensive, and the experience left a lot to be desired. Definitely not the cheapest company for a roof (by a lot), but went with them for a few reasons. 1) We needed multiple pieces of work done (roof, gutters, siding, and framing around garage); and 2) they listened during the sales process and gave me a quote for what I wanted, which other companies didn't. However, the work process was not as good. First, no one who shows up on day one can speak English proficiently. In general, I don't mind this, but when trying to get answers at 7am about the project, it's hard to understand what will be happening through broken English. Second, we needed an attic fan hooked up, which was included in the cost. However, I had to be responsible for scheduling with the electrician, which given how much they charge seemed ridiculous. Third, they couldn't complete the work due to some structural damage and were not able to recommend more than one person who was non-responsive or work with me to try and fix it. basically, it was up to me to fix, which given how much they charge seemed ridiculous.. I felt like I paid twice what I should have for work that wasn't commensurate in quality. It was disappointing as the office folks are nice. In the end, they credited me $500, which was negligible. My recommendation to anyone reading this: choosing a roofing company for roofing (not a do it all company).

From the start of diagnosing, estimating, scheduling, billing, communicating and fixing the roofs, they were excellent throughout the entire roof replacement/fixing process and have delivered everything as promised. I have used their service twice now, it is the repetition of same quality service, without any issues every-time. Highly recommend it!

Andrew and his team were great from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and personable. For a first time homeowner that kind of approach goes a long way. Work was done well and on time.

Excellent experience dealing with Beyond Exteriors. Very professional, quick to respond out to provide estimate, and were able to come out the following week to do the job. They installed new gutters and downspouts, leaf guards, and repaired fascia for me, and did a wonderful job.

I've had contractors do work at my house, and some are good with clean-up while others aren't. Aside from the fact that I had new gutters etc installed, I couldn't even tell that the installers had been to my house b/c they didn't leave any debris behind.

Also, great customer service. I rec'd a call the day prior to confirm installation, then a call afterward to follow-up. Very professional.

I rated BE a `B' on price (I gave them an `A' for everything else), as I think their prices may be slightly on the higher end, but, being a gov't worker, I know that choosing a project solely on price is not always beneficial for the customer. I've learned that you pay for what you get. I am very happy with the level of customer service and quality of work received from BE; can't emphasize this enough.

I know I'll need a new roof eventually, so I'm definitely going to call them again.

Easy 5 star review for this company. We had a great experience, and few times I've encountered such a professional service and attention to detail in the home renovation industry. From planning the work, detailed analysis of choices, no rush so the customer can go through the process, impeccable execution of the work, fast response to any request or comment, and I could go on and on. I hope my friends follow mi advice and hire Beyond Exteriors for their roofing and exterior jobs. Ah, and I found their pricing more than reasonable too.

Of the three estimates we got this was the best (most detail, reflected what we'd asked for and quoted less $ than the others). They did the work on time on schedule and the way we wanted it done. It was small gutter and pipe repair and it's worked fine ever since. We would call them again for similar work.

Exceptional Customer Service!! I interviewed 7 Roofing contractors in the Alexandria and Springfield, Northern Virginia area. Beyond Exteriors blew the competition away with technical knowledge, attention to detail, roofing workmanship and customer interaction every step of the process!! Their pricing was fair and right in the middle of the pack of the other 7 Roofing companies. They explained every aspect of the roof, flashing, vent caps and installation process so patiently. Installing custom copper vent caps versus the industry standard plastic with rubber gasket. Any adjustments on the contract were made on the spot on a laptop and printed. Customer Service for a start date, delivery of the materials and instructions for the home owners were flawless! Beyond Exteriors has a dedicated professional roofing crew that covered all the shrubs around the house, yellow tape to restrict the area and debris was rolled up on the roof and dumped into the truck reducing excess debris and/or nails falling around the house during removal of the old roof. The roofing crew was clean, organized and never stopped for lunch or breaks...that I noticed. The crew cleaned up continuously as they worked the roof including extension cords, tarps, caulking tubes etc. Beyond Exteriors 100% workmanship guarantee, attention to detail, timely, clean and safe work site make them #1 for any of your exterior home improvements. We first hired Beyond Exteriors to inspect a window on our townhouse where water was coming in and damaging the drywall. They were able to effectively diagnose the issue and clearly explain what had happened and why. George was by far the most professional and well-spoken contractor I've hired. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding his craft that he is always more than happy to share.

The second job we had them perform is trim replacement around the outer windows of our house. Again, George came out and clearly articulated what they would do and was very specific about why the way they would do it is the best approach to include advice on building materials and options. Again we were completely satisfied with the quality of service and craftsmanship.

The last project we hired them for was to seal around a window we thought had some leaking issues. Initially, there was a miss-communication and the work was done on an incorrect window. However, once this was discovered, the owner of the company immediately took responsibility, apologized, and had his crew do the exact same repair plus additional preventive repairs on the correct window at no additional cost.

Based on these 3 experiences, we will continue to use Beyond Exteriors as our go-to contractor. Their professionalism and quality of service are unmatched. I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone.

Beyond Exteriors came and did a repair to our slate roof in 2011. We were impressed with the work, although this was just a minor repair. Then, our house was hit by a tree during the derecho this past summer. George, from Beyond Exteriors, went above and beyond (pardon the pun) during the long process it took to work with our insurance company and get a completely new roof, gutters, and trim replacement. He was here as promised every time the insurance adjuster wanted to come by, which was often early in the morning and on weekends. He was professional and personable, and made sure we were happy every step of the way. He was easy to get a hold of via phone or email, and always returned my calls promptly. The workmanship was terrific and we are very happy we went with this company. Their prices were competitive and I did not feel the need to shop around. I highly recommend George and Beyond Exteriors.
