Great service, fun staff! They even hooked us up with t-shirts one time. It's probably my favorite lumber store. Too bad I don't live closer.

Terrible service, got snapped at by the grumpy man behind the counter for daring to bring insulation up to pay for it. It was confusingly in the back yard, we had to get an employee to show us where it was. The cashier all but accused us of stealing. He literally said, “what you just walk in there and take it?” Yes, because your employee showed us where it was…will never be back. Can’t make a guarantee like that then treat people like thieves for not knowing the process.

Caleb and the team fulfilled a last-minute order for my mom when she was able to arrange for family help to rebuild a deck. They brought the lumber in one truck but were unable to deliver it to my parents’ steep driveway. They took the order back to the yard, reloaded the truck, then hand-carried the planks down the driveway. We appreciate the great customer service and would order from Arrow again. Thank you!

Great service. Mostly a lumber store, but all the hardware and building basics are there. Plus paint and decking specialties.

Go to Henery's instead. Bought a drill bit for wood bc the guy said it was fast. Turned out it wasn't as much as I had hoped. So I went back to exchange it for much more expensive auger bit. Thought they would be happy that I wanted something more expensive. They said they won't exchange it. Haven't been back since. Ive spent thousands over the last few months, and Henery's has a great return policy. Why would I buy anything again here?

I love Arrow L&H! I get logs for my Woodstock there, best brand and price. And I had to replace the left side of my French front doors. The lady there is a wizard at the styles, features, brands, getting measurements, etc. Very knowledgeable, helpful, fast and friendly.

Super friendly and helpful service. Kyle and the other front end staff always greet you with a smile and a genuine desire to help. This is my favorite lumber store in Jefferson County. Veteran discount available. They are great at helping women who are new to building without being creepy or condescending.

WOW! I have been working on my house remodel since the world stopped and honestly I wish I had known about this place sooner.
Erik has been more helpful than others at any place I have been.
Their service is top notch and their products are some of the best.
Still have a way to go before completion but I will gladly make the drive to get what I need because of Erik. Thank you and your staff for knocking it out of the park! Bowie loves this place!

Good service. My first post was from 2 years ago. And I was blown away by the outstanding people and service I just experienced. I went to several wood construction shops in the area only to get turned down. All I needed was a board cut to size for a shelf. Arrow had what I wanted but it was 12ft. Rather than selling me a huge board they cut me a shelf and charged me by the foot. They didn't have to but they did and they will have a customer for life.

Ran into Hadlock store to grab materials & overheard customer say to cashier ‘You aren’t gonna make me wear a mask in here are you?’ Cashier responded ‘No, we’re not the police.’ Then they went on to discuss how masks don’t really help anyway. After that encounter I observed two more customers without masks and one employee without a mask in the store. If you are socially conscious and/or care about the heath of others, get your lumber elsewhere.

Great customer service from Erik. Saved a lot of money on project vs big box store. Gave me a quick quote via email and made my decision to buy easy. Erik talked me through some choices in products. Very comfortable process. Difficult delivery location made easy by driver. I'm just a DIY guy, but was treated with respect. Questions answered without making me feel stupid like some other "professional" lumber yards in the area. It seems like a simple recipe, easy ordering, good prices, good material, and treat your customers with respect. I got all of that and more from Arrow Lumber.

How does this place remain open?

Beside the ridiculous pricing the staff has absolutely no clue what customer service is. I have yet to walk in this place and not see four grown men standing at the check out counter, yet not a single one ever, ever greet a customer. Not once have I been asked or heard anyone offer to assist a customer. Been stared at, glared at, but never asked if I needed help.

Just amazes me how they stay open. I will drive to Sequim to Home Depot and drop money at the dreaded big box store.

Wish I could spend my money locally, but these clowns make that impossible.

Just an update on this outfit. Had to pick up a few 2x4s and did not want to go all the way to Sequim HD, and I suppose that's what they count on.

Once again I walked in, literally had to go find someone to assist, in spite of not a single cust in the store. The man who was sent out to help was nice enough and helpful, but basically just took my money and sent me out to the yard.

The pricing for stock was a few cents over double that of the big box store.

I keep saying I won't go back, but I guess it's the convenience I am paying double for and enduring poor customer service. Again I ask, how does this place stay open?

Don't buy cedar from Arrow. They will send you a whole pack of termite eaten boards. They don't accept returns and don't stand behind their products. Go there only if you want a fence that looks horrible and is supposed to be brand new. Also, their customer service is terrible.

Very thankful this Lumber yard is here in the Port Townsend area.
Good material, good friendly knowledgeable staff, good prices.
Good service. What more would you need.
I've been making sawdust for 50 years and this is a great local yard.

This is a great lumber yard. The service was first class, the products we purchased were great quality and the best price in the county. I would recommend Arrow to anyone who needs quality building materials at a very competitive price. They special ordered material and it arrived on our jobsite when they said it would. We are happy with our new house and beautiful decks and will continue to shop here when we need any building materials in the future. -Steve and Claire McClaine

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
