Jerry and his team at Anchor Automotive are amazing! They take the time to get the job done right. They have worked on 3 of my vehicles from oil changes, to inspections, tires to a transmission replacement. Jerry had always been honest about what repairs are needed and the cost associated with them and also offering affordable options. No matter what your auto care needs are his team will steer you in the right direction. Being in the service industry myself I understand that sometimes repairs may take longer depending on suppliers and shipping. If a job has taken longer than expected Jerry has always let me know and kept me informed every step of the process. I have sent several friends and family members and will continue to recommend! Thank you Jerry and team for your hard work and great customer service!

Only 4 stars because I almost never give 5. Let's talk price first. Car repairs cost, I'm satisfied I got my repairs for a decent price. As for time, well sometimes things that seem simple aren't. Throw in supply line issues beyond anyone's control and it could take longer as happened to me. In the end my repairs are great and I'm on the road again. No complaints

Had an appointment a week prior to have shocks and struts installed. Made the appointment specifically because the guy at the front desk said “we are wide open all week”.

Made the appointment for right when they open. Got there early. Watched them open up. Then it began…

I watched no less that four vehicles come in for various things (the guy at the counter definitely told me about all the stuff they had to do) and get in and out.

Talked to him twice about my appointment and how he told me it would be done by early afternoon. He said “shocks and struts take a long time, there’s nothing we can do”.

You know what, he’s right. They do take a long time. They take even longer when the car sits in the parking lot for THREE HOURS waiting before they even start the work.

He proceeded to tell me that a guys truck has been waiting a week on parts that just came in today and how mine was “just about next”.

Sat there for three hours, grabbed my keys and left. Found a place that would do it for just a little bit more, and you know what? They got it right in, charged just a shade over this place’s labor price (I purchased my own shocks and struts) and were waiting for me when I got there.

The sign on their wall is fitting. If you don’t mind wasting an entire day, sure drop your car off.

You might be limited on bay space and employees, but don’t overpromise and deliver literally nothing.

I can’t say enough about the guys at Anchor Automotive. Jerry and Jeremy go above and beyond. I moved to town 5 years ago. I worked in the automotive industry for a short time so finding a team to get to know me and my vehicles is important. Now I have added a few items such as my boyfriends ATV…. Another vehicle but no matter the challenge they are up for it. SO grateful I have found reliable, trust worthy team to keep me and my family on the road. Thank you for all help this year and last….Couldn’t get it done without ya.

Stopped by on a road trip because something started dragging under my car. They looked at it right away and reattached what had come loose and wouldn't take a dime. They don't make places like this anymore. These guys were awesome.

I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, Jerry, when I made my first visit to have my vehicle inspected. He was kind, attentive, and able to inspect my truck right away. My wait was not long and the waiting area was very inviting and CLEAN. My vehicle did not pass inspection for GOOD REASON! It was totally unsafe to drive! I had no idea! Jerry and his assistant Shawn showed me the areas of concern, explained what they were and why they were the causes of my rejected inspection. I am a 66 year old single woman who knows very little about anything automotive! Jerry patiently and respectfully answered all my questions with his full attention on me. I highly recommend Anchor Automotive!

There is no one else I would recommend over Jerry and his crew at Anchor Automotive. I’ve had everything from simple oil changes and State Inspections to a transmission replacement and have always been provided with reliable, timely and most importantly honest work.

Anchor Automotive is the place to go for auto repairs or aftermarket parts you need for your vehicle! These guys are very knowledgeable and offer fair pricing, as well as other options to you so you don't feel pressured into costly car repairs. They have handled all of my auto needs since they’ve opened and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Always a great experience with Anchor Automotive. Came in with an unknown issue on Monday; Jerry and his team were able to get it repaired and like new on Tuesday! Super grateful to have them in Middletown!

I went to see why my vehicle’s engine light was on and I told them the moment I got there that I had 15 mins before I had to go for another obligation and said if they are busy right now, no problem, I can leave. They said they’d take me. And then with 3 mins before I had to leave they took my car and said that I was NOT allowed to watch them which was suuuuper sketchy (I've never had a mechanic shop deny me from observing what they do). They come back and give me a "code" and i asked the guy what it meant and he said "uhm I don't know". so basically I was late to my next obligation AND never got an answer as to why my engine light was on. the whole thing was just super weird and people i know and of course myself will not be back.

These days there are plenty of businesses that "talk the talk, but don't walk the walk". On their website Anchor Automotive boasts that there is "no wait" for VA State Safety Inspections. It's true!!!! Try them. You'll like them for "walking the walk".

This place is just what Middletown needed! Before this place opened up, there was only one good mechanic in Middletown. The Exxon next to the interstate. Anchor automotive got me in pretty quick for an inspection and helped me get my vehicle back on the road with a quickness! I can't get over how friendly everyone was, and how magnificent the customer service was as well! I highly recommend this place for your car care needs!! Not sure why they have any bad reviews. Although, out of all the reviews, only 2 or 3 are bad, and it appears the people giving the bad reviews were probably just mad that that this place didn't pass their junky car.

I really like Anchor Automotive I trust them to take care of my many cars trucks and motorcycles they have never let me down and always exceed my expectations!!!!

Kind, honest, and affordable. That’s really top tier when it comes to a good mechanic. These guys are the ideal mechanics to work with. I wish I could give y’all 6 stars!

THESE ARE SCAMMERS. I took my Jeep Cherokee to these guys for State Inspection. They rejected me saying my ball joints need to be replaced in order to pass. The receptionist guy is so incompetent because he didn’t know which ball joint they were because I have front wheel drive NOT ALL FOUR DRIVE. Got a second opinion on the matter and the second mechanic said there was nothing wrong and that they just are trying to price gouge me into paying them 500 dollars to replace something that didn’t need to be replaced. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER that guy at front desk needs to be fired or this place needs to close down they are scamming everyone that goes in this place.

I've been here twice for car inspections. They were fast and professional. The waiting room is very clean and modern, with an arcade machine and other toys in a separate play area for the kids. They provide a very nice coffee bar for the adults and a big screen t.v to watch during the wait. I was very impressed and will be back!

Needed new tires for my car - Jerry was helpful not only getting me a great price but suggesting an awesome low profile tire that looks better than what I had before! Thank you!!

Great customer service. I believe it was Jeremy who helped me with my husbands work van. He was very knowledgeable and quoted fair rates (even lower rates than some places in Winchester). Work was done in good amount of time! Will definitely use them and I recommend their services if you’re new to Middletown.

These guys were amazing! I'm new to town and I drive a really tall van with a roof rack on top so it's not just anybody that can fit it in their shop & take a look if I have issues.
Without even an appointment, I just stopped by to see how long the wait would be to get an inspection and to see if somebody could check on a possible coolant leak and they took a pause from their other jobs and fit me right in and back out in less than an hour. Now I know what work I need to budget for and I totally trust these guys!

Great guys and they did a great job at troubleshooting and advised on different solutions. Work they did is top notch! Highly recommend!!
