I never write reviews. Ever. This is an exception.

While delivering materials, their driver cracked an entire pallet of siding and soffit trying to pick it up off the flatbed with his moffett. He was persistent with trying to get me to accept some of the “undamaged pieces.” He blocked our neighborhood road for over 30 minutes, preventing the mailman and a garbage man from passing.

The worst part of this delivery however, was when the driver drove another pallet into my driveway, drove off the edge and got stuck spinning out. While he was spinning out, he took out large chunks of the edge of my driveway. I was watching from my window in disbelief when the driver was attempting to kick leaves over the damage he caused.

The branch manager, Andrew, told me this would be fixed and handled and reached out to give me his personal contact information. It drug on for over a month with their claims department trying to get me to settle on amounts lower (1.5k) than 4 estimates I received to fix my driveway. Their insurance company used unethical ways to settle. When I contacted their BM Andrew while in the thick of this mess with their insurance, he said, “It’s out of my hands.” He never responded to any requests for help after that.

I ended up having to write a detailed narrative to their insurance company’s manager for this to be resolved and thankfully I had friends who are in the legal field otherwise I would have probably needed to hire a lawyer to get my driveway repaired to its pre-loss condition and to make a 2.1k repair.

This whole process was exhausting, demoralizing and unnecessary. I maybe received one apology and was treated as if I was the one in the wrong.

They were also very unaccommodating to my contractor and barely assumed any responsibility, leaving her to scramble to allocate materials to finish the job. They also failed to deliver a 3rd pallet of materials. Thankfully, my contractor knows what she is doing, is accountable and keeps her word— unlike this specific ABC supply branch in Ashland.

Do not let this company deliver materials in your driveway. Better yet, just avoid this company all together.

I deliver building supplies here often in a 53 ft trailer and they are always very efficient at unloading. Solid people, 10/10. I’d recommend backing in but backing out isn’t too difficult of a challenge.

These guys almost always quick to get what you need, most in stock. Bit awkward to not enter lobby, but health comes first and they bring it right out to you. 5star usually, just got wrong touch-up paint color and will have to go back. I am sure pulled from right bay, just someone restocked wrong. 1star annoying :)

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
