What people say about “ABC Supply Co. Inc.”?

Customer feedback highlights significant issues with delivery service and communication at this company. Many delivery drivers report extremely long wait times, often exceeding two hours, with receiving hours not being strictly adhered to. There is a consistent sentiment that the facility prioritizes outbound shipments over inbound deliveries, causing frustration among drivers. While some customers have praised the helpfulness of certain staff members during store visits, the general consensus among delivery drivers is one of dissatisfaction and a lack of accountability from management.

This is the absolute worst place to make deliveries. The entire front office acts as if u don’t exist. Forklift drivers are usually pretty rude. No real receiving hours. They unload trucks as they feel the need. Drivers are here waiting 4-6 hours for shingles. SHINGLES!!! Nobody holds themselves accountable for such crappy service. I would have given it a negative star if it was possible. New management is needed ASAP. Drivers beware

We came in at 8 AM, and there was only one guy offloading the incoming trucks. My advice to anybody that's delivering at this place is have enough time. They actually made me loose another load that I had going into california because they are very slow to offload plus they break for about an hour of lunch. It was 1 PM and I was still at the same place. DO NOT CAME HERE...

This place is terrible. They do not care for delivery drivers time. They prioritize their trucks, and I understand that they prioritize their drivers, but they should have at least two forklift drivers dedicated to delivery drivers so they can stay on their schedule as well. I wouldn't recommend delivering loads here, especially if you have a reload scheduled.

Do yourself a favor and take a load somewhere else. No. Improvement at this place. Have not come here in years, because of how slow to get unloaded. The guys unloading are moving as fast s they can, but this places only priority is their trucks and customer trucks. Inbound deliveries can wait. Have been here over two hours and still have one in front of me. They just stopped unloading him to load an outbound customer. Outbound is important, but if inbound trucks stop bringing product, how will you load the outbound. May be a good idea for trucks to,stop delivering here and see if they change.

Arrived just before 9am when they are supposed to begin unloading inbound trucks. Was 4th in line, but they didn't pull the first truck back until 10:15am. Just past noon before I finally got unloaded. Had to cancel a reload I had scheduled because I was no longer able to deliver straight through. Was optimistic about being in ans out fairly quickly judging by some of the past reviews, so gonna assume I came on an unusually bad day. Either way not very pleased with how today went. Will probably not accept another shipment to this location.

When I first stepped into the store, I was a little disappointed. Not a lot of help. However, after stepping out and coming back in, Cread saved the day. He was very helpful and patient. He took care of us. Plus ABC Supply had a very good sale on their Heritage shingles which helped with saving some money. The delivery to 2 separate locations was great too.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

They allow overnight parking in the street.
This particular morning they were extremely busy loading their outbound trucks. However, they managed to get delivery trucks ASAP.
Nice guys. I would recommend drivers to deliver there.

J.R has made me feel like family in the ABC community. It takes a lot to run a roofing company at times, and having J.R. On the distribution side of things puts my mind at ease a lot of times. ABC always has the best deals, selection of brands and colors of shingles.

Has got to be 1 of the slowest to unload a truck. As many trucks as they have coming in you'd think they would have at least 2, 3, or 4 people unloading. Don't they realize they we have other places to go. 2nd in line and has been over a hr so far

I think this is a great place, don't really know, I was riding with a friend and we went to a place a few doors down from here. But Google thinks I was here.

Cool staff. They know what's up for roofing and siding. This is where the contractors go for professional roofing and siding.

I have been a customer of ABC Supply for 8 years, and we have always been given excellent service. We work with Chris Pickle, and have always gotten the supplies we need on time and at a great price.

Definitely would NOT come back here for a delivery. It's going on almost an hour and a half and still not unloaded or halfway unloaded. You come to work to work, so work. It's like they're taking one pallet off every 20 minutes. If you value your time, do not come here for a delivery. Lazy people work here.

What can I say, you need windows? They got them! You order them and then...you get them! They actually have what they say they have and if they don't have it in stock, they get it for you and it's there when they say it will be! We work with a lot of companies in the surrounding area and I can honestly say..this is very rare! We have called other places to confirm in-store stock and been told it's there only to drive a hour to find out they haven't had it in months!

Arrived at 8 am. Waited in queue at the stop sign, straps off there and the forklift guy came about in 10 minutes where they took me to the unloading place. In and out in an hour.

These folks supply and stock building materials and specifically carry many sizes and styles of James hardi plank board and hardi trim board. I’ve used them several times as I’ve been in the process of deck building /expansion and needed their products to repair / add / replace boards and trim where deck meets the siding and trim. FYI…SKIP THE BIG BOX STORES. They don’t and won’t know what you’re talking about when you say “hardi board” or they won’t have it in stock even though it shows in stock online.

I was a contractor for 20 years and never had a problem with ABC. Seems like customer service has left the company. Decided to do my own roof to save some money on labor and scheduled the delivery for first morning load. Since I only live 5 minutes from the store, I was told they would deliver before 8 am. At 1045 am I called the store to find out about the delivery time because I have labor waiting to carry the shingles up on the roof. They said that they were waiting on a truck to get back so can get my load to me. It's now past 130pm and still waiting. Sent my labor home and still had to pay them for the day. Who in the company is going to reimburse me for not only my labor, but my time as well. Very disappointed with ABC right now and someone there owes me. So much for ordering over a week in advance.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
