Went in to have a noise checked on my car at the twin falls, Idaho location. Everything was great but the quote for my repair. They said the strut mount was $850 for the part then additional labor for $145 an hour and it would take an hour to repair. Did some research and the part is really $99 at autozone. I called around to other shops and they said the same as autozone. Matt at AAMCO was price gouging me by $750. Please beware of the dishonesty at this location!!!

My truck broke down while traveling through. Loren was able to get me in right away the next morning and get me back up and running. Excellent service!

We are from Spo., WA and today, we encountered an engine light notice on our Ford F150 while traveling on Interstate 84 heading to Arches National Park. Two Ford Dealerships in the Twin Falls area denied us help due to a two and three week time wait for scheduling service. All we asked for was diagnostic services which they said would take 1 or 2 hours to diagnose the problem. So, the dealership offered us 2 possible repair shops. Neither could take us on but suggested Aamco Transmission in Twin Falls. We called Aamci and they bent over backwards to diagnose, purchase parts, and repair our vehicle with a new coil. Total time out of our vacation road trip, only 3 hours. Loren treated us like family and wanted to get us on the road. He is an amazing human with a huge heart and his mechanics are awesome too, squeezing us in between other customers so we could move on. Twin Falls you have 5* small business owners. BTW, we shopped at the Desiree Thrift Store and ate lunch at the Mexican Burrito place. An extra bonus for us

As a single woman, on the road, I am always nervous about having car trouble, so when my engine died near Twin Falls and I was directed to Aamco I didn’t know what to expect. I was/am so grateful to the people at Aamco (and to the person who sent me their way)!

From the first moment I got there, all the employees were so very nice and helpful; their attitude helped allay a lot of my worries about my predicament, I felt I was in good hands.

Loren got work started on my van right away and the problem was quickly diagnosed and parts ordered. I really felt like he understood my need to get back on the road and was doing everything he and the shop could do to make it happen. It is rare to find that kind of personal service these days and I can’t thank everyone at Aamco enough.

Loren and his team are the best around. I live in a small town and have tried using the shops here but they always mess up simple work. I’ll gladly travel to them again.

What can I say about these awesome mechanics. I suffered a whole year with my car having issues. It's been through 3 different mechanics ( Rob Green nissan, Craig's automotive)that thought they knew was wrong with my car, but were totally wrong, I was at a loss. I was told by a commercial tire mechanic that it was a transmission issue, and they couldn't fix it. I got a hold of Kevin at Aamco transmission, and they got me in quick. After them having it a day, they thought they knew was wrong and ended up being a bigger problem. They called hyundai up and spoke with them a couple of hours about my car, and hyundai told them that the transmission needed to be replaced. It would take 4 days to get it shipped to them. I gave them a week to get the transmission. I took it in on 4/8 and got it back on 4/9. They turn around time was quick. Loren and his team got everything that was wrong with my car fixed. Who knew a transmission would cause so many problems. I'm a customer for life, thanks to the crew at Aamco.

These guys provide phenomenal service. I was travelling halfway across the country when my driveshaft snapped on the interstate, they took me in right away and got me out as fast as possible. I really appreciated their awareness for the importance of my situation and donating their time to educate me on my car. Loren spent time to find me a replacement part that seemed harder to come by.

I found myself in a less than ideal situation and these guys made it tolerable. Every staff member at Twin Falls AAMCO is kind and helpful, the shop is clean and dialed in. Huge thanks to Loren and Scott for helping me out and getting me back on the road!

It was my emergency, they had a full schedule, they took the time, and made me a priority. It is rare to find this kind of service these days. I can’t thank them enough.
On August 9th, my pathfinder died in an intersection. I got it restarted and went on my way until it died again. I parked and Googled mechanics in the area. I panicked as I am from California and was an hour away from where my friend moved to as well as we were headed back to California the next day. AAMCO came up as the closest to our location. It was late afternoon. I didn’t read reviews; I just drove there. Loren was there to greet me and advised that they couldn’t look at it until the next day. I told my story and soon he came back with Scott. Scott diagnosed it, did some research, and returned with what the issues were. Loren called Nissan and got the parts delivered to the store prior to the 5pm closing time. We had to come back because we left something in the car we needed. At this time, I got to see their customer lounge, oh my gosh! It was amazing! It was closing so I only got a glimpse of what they offered while you waited, but there was no doubt that this is a great spot to wait! The ladies there were very kind, with huge smiles, happy to help and wanting to take care of the customers! When I got to my car, I saw that Scott had my car all prepped and ready for the next morning! While they were fully booked, they took the time to save me and get me on the road in a very timely manner (my car was ready at 09:03)!
I can’t thank them enough. I enjoyed learning Loren’s story, and I am grateful it brought him this location. Not only does this business do an awesome job at car care they know how to take care of people and that these days is a lost art!

Was beginning a 2500 mile trip in a new used car with my son. Heard a noise we had not heard before. Failing sway bar. Loren and Tristen got it fixed and us on our way quickly and fairly. Thank you guys!!

I was sent away without even a quote!! They guy said he is way to busy to take more work on. Is it just the one Dude fixing everything himself or what!?!? They were rated as one of the best places for transmission issues. I would have been able to finance and they even offer a printable discount coupon for the Exact service I was in need of

My transmission blew in my promaster and I am a driver over the road. I came in on Monday and spoke with Loren and he went to work finding me a transmission for my van. He initially told me it would be til Friday. Then before business was over Monday he came to me and said transmission would be here Tuesday morning and he would have his guy work on it all day. They knew the importance of me getting back on the road I'd recommend this place to anyone

We were on our way down to AZ hauling a 5th wheel, when west of Jerome our truck would not shift into high gear(overdrive). Loren got us in and they were able to diagnose the issue(which wasn't giving a check engine error because it was a faulty actuator which made the truck think the throttle was full open when it wasn't), get the part from Boise, get it installed and had us back on the road that afternoon. Thank you! Definitely recommend and if we ever have other issues with out truck and we are in Twin Falls, we will take it back to them.

Very pleased with this place. They went above and beyond to get my little kias 4x4 working and didnt do any work until i was quoted a total price so there were no surprises when it came time to cash out. I would recommend aamco to anyone wanting thier cars fixed right.

My transfer case blew out on I-84 between Boise and Twin Falls. We we're towed to the AAMCO in Twin Falls. Leo was great to work with and got our SUV back on the road within a week. He was extremely thorough in finding the part from a wrecked vehicle instead of just ordering a refurbished case. They answer the phone when you call and they really pay attention to details. We can highly recommend the AAMCO in Twin Falls. Thanks AAMCO team!

Took my 01 F150 in for an ignition coil replacement. Hadn't done any real maintenance since I bought it and asked them to go through and check all the fluids etc. Leo called me to let me know that all the fluids looked new and weren't needing replaced - they could have said they did, I wouldn't have known any different. Very Honest and I will definately recommend them and use them for future work!

I thought I’d give these guys a shot and I’m so glad I did! The detail shop did a fantastic job and were very reasonable with their pricing. There was no oil residue left on my dash and instrument panel like there is most places around town you go to. They were able to get stains out of the roof left by employees greasy hats

They were able to change the oil while the truck was in there, which makes it a one stop shop for your car needs. They definitely earned a new customer from me!

My transmission blew a year ago and had these guys fix it. Every single time I go in there to get everything checked out everyone is so polite and welcoming. I have never seen this type of customer service where it’s continued customer service and never disappoints. My car has ran well ever since and they always make sure everything is so well done and they even go the extra mile to wash my car. You guys are amazing and I highly recommend everyone to go here! And a huge shoutout to Leo who is amazing and makes sure I understand and answers all my questions clearly!

I called Leo at AAMCO after my car decided to lose its brakes and leak fluid. He said I could bring my car in that day. Of course, depending on the time I could get it to him, would depend on when they were able to look at it. He was able to get back to me the following day to tell me my brake lines and the hose needed replaced. He said he would order parts and it may be a day. I thought it would be a couple more days without my car...BUT A day after that, my car was fixed and ready to be on the road again by NOON. Only 2 days without my car for it to be repaired. I am thankful they were so efficient and fairly priced, too! I definitely recommend this business to anyone needing repairs. Thank you, again! :)

Tranmsission shift solenoid went out on a trip from WA to Texas. No one could get me in to fix it for weeks. Leo and his team got me in right away and the truck was back on the road the same day. Thank you so much Leo. You are the epitome of customer service. God bless you and your team.

We were stranded almost 600 miles from home with our new trailer and a bad transmission. Loren answered the phone on a Sunday. Heard our story and took care of us as quick as possible. Leo kept us informed along the way and made sure to give us the instructions on how to properly break on our new transmission. We got home safely and within the time we had to be away. Great customer service. Great shop.

I was on a trip with my family to go to the Shoshone Ice Caves and on my way their my car had some transmission issues, with the help of my regular mechanic I see he advised me to go to Ammco where Leo their got us in and out in a cupple of hours, these guys saved me a lot of money of a tow truck. Leo was definitely a hero to save our trip.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THE FIRST TIME!!!!

We hit a giant tumbleweed on the drive home to SLC from Boise, and the force cracked our radiator! We were towed to Twin Falls and chose the AAMCO shop based on its good reviews. They were backed up but called their local patrons to see if we could take priority, given that we had two kids and a baby and were stranded. They fixed the radiator in just a few hours and had us back on the road home. We appreciate this shop doing all it could to get us home!

Had break issues no machanic could find but they fixed it and went the extra mile to assure all the parts working correctly. They even let me know that I needed tires How awesome is that?!

This transmission shop is amazing! Leo has helped me with so many car issues, transmission, and referrals when they do not perform the service. I highly recommend this shop! Great people! Great service!

After having my oil changed I kept smelling what seemed to be burning oil. I thought maybe they spilt oil on my engine. After 3 days of smelling this I decided to look under the hood. I found the cap had not been replaced. I called the shop and was told to bring it in and they would put a cap on. They found the cap and put more oil in. When I got down the road my car was smoking like crazy out of my rear exhaust. When I called to tell them about it I was told that was normal. I drove a little further and my check engine light came on. I went back and they drained the oil and changed the filter. My car was running fine after that. I was thankful I had checked under the hood as I was leaving on a road trip the next day.

They did my transmission and I had it redone several more time under warranty and still never worked as is should. They also forgot to tighten my carrier bearing and I dropped my driveline in the middle of the street after calling them the owner sent his brother over and he was drunk as a skunk it did happen along time ago but I'm just seeing how "good" these reviews are and I feel like people need know.... Find a better place my transmission was done at least 4 times and it was probably more like 6 but I lost count and is still horrible

We were on a road trip from Whidbey Island WA to Lake Powell Utah for a family house boat vacation. I was hauling my 17 foot boat behind my Suburban. We were south of Twin Falls going 75 on the Interstate when my truck started breaking down. I was just able to get the rig over the fogllne before it stopped running altogether. Scary as heck with big rigs flying by feet away. I will leave out the towing details but it was nerve-wracking. I had no idea where to get my truck and boat towed to. The Chevy dealer said they could look at it in a day or two and would charge"emergency" rates. No thanks. Spoke to Leo Williams at AAMCO in Twin Falls. He understood my predicament and promised to at least look at it that day. This was in the afternoon. We got it towed to Leo's shop where he had to squeeze me in to look at the truck. Fuel pump failed. Told me he could hopefully get it done by 1 the following day. Not a simple job on a Suburban. You have to drop the tank, which of course I had just filled with 40 gallons of gas. Had to get two hotel rooms for the night, but we were able to walk there at least. Got a call at 1030 the next morning that the truck was done. Got the truck and the boat and we were only half a day behind on our house boat vacation. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, kindness, and alacrity demonstrated by Leo and his crew. I promised to write a review and here it is. Our vacation was saved thanks to Leo. I am truly thankful that I chose his shop to get towed to. Also, the price was totally reasonable, not cheap, but absolutely fair. They even saved most of my gas.

Seeing my car used to give me a rush of pride. And then I started working 2 jobs, and started my own business, and car care went to the backburner until an unfortunate incident with a dog I was transporting. While in North Dakota, a dog I was traveling with urinated on my seats. I took my car in for a detail (not at Aamco). The company I went to charged me $70 to clean the front seats and after charging me for the detail they told me that there wasn't any way to get rid of the stains or the smell. They had sprayed febreeze on my seats till they were soaked (and sticky) and then advised me to drive (19 hours) to my home with the windows rolled down since the wind would help with both the smell and the wet seats. They also suggested buying a bottle of febreeze for the trip home. With that experience fresh in my mind, I was hesitant to get another detail, but my car needed it.
At a friend's recommendation, I reached out to Aamco. They worked me in the very next morning! Because I work early in the morning they helped me to arrange drop-off at a time that worked for my schedule. I called just a few hours later to confirm that they were able to gain access to my car, and they had already finished it! I was so pleased with the results of the detail. My car looks stunning! I had never noticed the sparkles on my dashboard faceplates before. Every surface gleamed, and my steering wheel that had started to fade in the sun is now a deep, glossy black again. They were able to get the stains out of my seat, and although my seats were not soaked like in my previous encounter, Aamco had still left a plastic seat protector over my seat to protect my legs. I was worried about residual odor or a strong chemical smell after detailing, but my car smells pleasantly "clean" in a way that isn't noticeable. (no febreeze or urine smells)
The interior detail also included an exterior wash, and my car gives me that rush of pride once more. I think I am ruined for regular car washes now. I am a happy customer, and will definitely be returning!

I was traveling cross country when I had some issues just East of Boise. Decided to limp it into Twin Falls and called these folks to see if they could figure out the issue witch I thought was the transmission. Was pulling a trailer and they had a secure place for me to put it while they checked it out. Mechanic took it out for a test drive and 95% believed it was the clutch fan. Only one clutch fan to be found in town for my truck. Yes indeed, mine was seized up. After a bit of time I was back on the road. I really appreciate how they got me in on a busy day and worked with me. From Leo the Manager to the mechanic and all other staff I really enjoyed learning about the area and the kind folks at this place. Thank you so much for helping me in my travels that made my final destination that more pleasurable. I can’t thank you enough.

I was on a long road trip on New Year’s Eve and started to experience a coolant leak. I stopped in and explain my problem to the technicians, who fortunately were able to solve my problem and get me back on the road. I recognize how easy it could I’ve been to take advantage of someone in my position but they did not. Super professional, fair, and helpful. I’m so grateful. Would definitely go back and also recommend them.

This is the second time I've brought my car to Aamco. This is the second time I've been very pleased. They are quick to respond, super friendly and knowledgeable. My van started having some troubles outside of Twin Falls while on a roadtrip. Fearing the worst, I was able to get it to the shop the following morning. Only a couple of hours after dropping it off, I received a call detailing what they thought was the issue, a time estimate, and an estimated cost. True to their word, the van was done in a few hours at the estimated cost and is running better than ever! Very professional. Very friendly. Can't recommend these guys enough.

Had an brake failure while on a road trip by myself, and couldn't repair it solo. After calling every other shop in Twin Falls and being told about availability next week, I eventually spoke to the owner of the AAMCO shop was told they had a technician that could get me in so I could get back on the road. Everyone was super friendly, and the bill was very reasonably priced compared to the prices other shops were giving me. I would give more stars if I could.
