During the storm a couple weeks ago, we woke up to parts of our roof falling in the yard. Calls are returned quickly. They use text messaging - like a modern business should these days. The estimator knows the products on offer and brings samples to the initial visit. The estimate is line-item accurate which minimizes overrun surprises.
Dain made the effort to track down our first choice of shingle style and the freight charge was reasonable since we got the look we really wanted. When the decking was *not* in bad shape 4A packed up the ordered plywood and moved it back to their shop - no b.s. over work/overcharge.
The on-site crew worked in ridiculous heat in July. They were on time, clean and neat, quiet (no shouting or loud radios). They cared for each other, our neighbors (no start until a civil hour even in the heat) and our place which was left clean and neat with no damage to landscape plants and no debris/nails left anywhere.
After the job was complete Dain took the time to go over the final invoice and show where each item was installed or returned. Vents, paint, caps and every shingle accounted for. No squishy changes from the estimate.

We woke up to a leaking roof on a Saturday. It just happened to be my birthday too. Called Dain and he had a technician come out within an hour of first calling him. Within the next hour the technician had found several areas that needed attention and fixed them all. What a great company to work with. You just won’t meet a guy like Dain. He has an incredible work ethic, cares about his customers, and does a fantastic job between him and his crew. I had my roof replaced a few years ago and their team followed up 1-2 years later with a visual inspection to ensure that the job was done well, which it was! The original roof was built with poorly placed vents which caused molding in the attic. The previous owners installed ceiling fans in the laundry room and hallway, which I assume is because of this problem. Dain assessed the situation and recommended placing the vents higher up to prevent this from happening again. No issues and the roof looks fantastic! I love supporting local business owners and Dain is the best! This review was long overdue.

There were two minor issues that needed to be corrected after the job was completed, but once these were brought to their attention, they were immediately and satisfactorily resolved. Roof vent blew off and roof needed immediate repair with a rain and snow storm coming in a matter of hours. Had a big hole. Called them and they had it fixed within two hours. Very much appreciated the urgency and customer service. Very happy with their service.

Unparalleled service -- I had a small parade of roofers come look at our house and after 4 told me there wasn't a problem with the roof (or just never following up with a quote after inspection) I was starting to doubt my initial analysis. Dain from 4A, however, was able to pinpoint the issue in his initial inspection and IIRC had us a quote day or so.

I'm skeptical by nature but Dain brought pictures from his attic tour showing exactly where water was getting in. He also provided these pictures with his quote which was a nice touch. When we had questions about the job size / pricing on the quote he provided he was willing to walk us through his thought process and was patient as we explored trying to get this fixed under warranty with our previous roofer.

Having roof issues is never fun but 4A was the most pleasant experience I could have expected: quick, communicative, respectful, and thorough. Any job I need in the future I'm 100% getting a quote from them.

About 2 months ago, Dain and his crew not only installed my new roof but also rerouted exhaust vents from my attic to the outside - I didn't even know that was happening, so thanks to them my attic will stay drier.

They did a great job on my roof, as evidenced by no leaks after a subsequent HEAVY rainstorm a few days later. They cleaned up around the house pretty well, also.

Excellent company to work with and extremely happy with our roof. The owner Dain was very professional and quick to respond. We received several quotes and decided to go with 4A because of the no pressure, reasonable quote, quality products used and positive referrals. Dain and his crew are very detail oriented and make sure your roof is done right. Even though we had a few minor hiccups, Dain didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile and make it right. An example was a faulty skylight that didn’t hold up to an extreme down pour months after the original install. Dain personally responded to my house within an hour or so to inspect and temporarily repair the issue until a full replacement of the skylight could be completed. This was done after regular work hours. In less than 48 hours, we had a brand new replacement skylight installed no questions asked. We haven’t had any issues since. Dain was very apologetic and I truly believe this was a manufacturing defect. Bottom line, Dain took full responsibility, stood-by his guarantee and addressed the issue immediately.

On a side note, we recently had our chimneys inspected and maintained by a reputable company. The employee told me that he’s never seen chimneys flashed so well by a roofing company. He said whoever did it, did a phenomenal job and he asked for the company’s name to refer them out. I didn’t hesitate to recommend 4A and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality roof, installed properly at a reasonable price. Thanks again Dain and crew at 4A!

My ceiling showed a small discoloration that might be a leak on a rainy day. I called and a technician was there within two hours. He found and repaired the small leak right then. He showed me pictures on his cell phone of the problem and the repair explaining what caused it. Excellent service.

It was time to replace our roof. Our neighborhood was built around 2004 so the homes around us were all redoing theirs. We didn’t want any leaks. I saw 4A Roofing come and do several of the homes around us. I saw how well they did the work and respectfully treated the houses. This was a large part of why I wanted them.

They did beautiful work in a timely manner and for the amount quoted. And I got regular updates on how it was progressing.

We are in a neighborhood of row houses where several are connected. We were given a nice discount because our neighbor’s roof was connected to ours and we did them together.

About 1 year ago, I contacted 4A roofing for a replacement of a membrane style roof/deck. I specifically stated I needed a durable surface that could be used as a functional deck and that any rotten wood be replaced.

While they were quick to respond and do the work; I was informed after the work had been completed that the material used isn't durable enough for foot traffic. There was no solution aside from redoing the entire project at my cost.

Upon completion, I also noticed there was some flashing that wasn't completely secured, which to their credit was repaired very quickly. I respect and appreciate that.

In addition, I was invoiced for removal of any rotten material. From day one, there are still two large soft spots where my feet actually sink in; indicating that no rotten wood was actually replaced. This is the most frustrating part, as I will have to tear up the entire surface to fix it.

I had a pleasure to work with Mr. Dain and his 4A Roofing company for a re-roofing my house in mid July 2023, and I am very satisfied with the results. From start to finish his service was professional and efficient. The project was completed on time and within budget. Highly recommended!

I like supporting local businesses, so I looked on Angi to find a roofer.
From the moment I met with Damien(the son), to the roofers finishing up the experience was great. Damien explained all of the ins and outs of replacing our roof. He even went into the attic to make sure there weren't any problems from below. He did see some condensation and showed it to me. He then showed me all of the choices for color for the shingles and explained they replace our plastic vents with metal. We scheduled the day for the roofers to start. They were here on time and were very courteous and professional. They cleaned up the mess afterward. Dain (the dad) came by for quality assurance. He then showed me an exhaust vent that was not properly installed and how they fixed it. They did a great job. We could not be happier.

This is the second time we used 4A Roofing!! The first challenge we had them tackle was a two story gambrel style roof, 32 ft. long & 18' tall, and they knocked it out in a day. Our most recent experience was just this month with our home. Typical 1,200 sq. ft., 3-bed house, single story. At 9am, 3 men showed up and got right to work. They did a complete tear off, replaced about 4 sheets of plywood, and finished with the new GAF roof by 8pm. They also came back the next day with matching paint to touch up any pop-outs from the nails in the soffits. No mess left behind, prompt and courteous service and respectful. Dain, the General Manager, is easy to work with, and very helpful. Highly recommend them.

Dain has exceptional customer service. Recently, we'd requested quotes from several companies (not just roofers) and 75% of the companies never responded. Dain got back to our email request in less than 24 hours, came out to give an estimate the following day, and was able to schedule our repairs almost immediately. He and his team took photos of the damage, the work they were doing, and he double checked to make sure we were okay with the closet-matching shingle option before installing.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dain and his team. I called 4A during a rainstorm on a weekend when I first noticed the leak in a skylight. Dain responded within a few minutes and said he would try to get someone out that day. Within an hour, Mike was at my door and fixed the leak with caulk and news that it appeared the leak was coming from failed flashing around the skylight. After a week or two of receiving an estimate for the flashing repair, Jay came out to repair the flashing. Upon further inspection, he found that the leak was coming from a split in the composition tile near the skylight, and though the skylight flashing was poorly installed, it was not the immediate concern. Finding this leak source was easier to fix, and the project's new scope reduced the cost considerably. Though it was not to their benefit, I appreciate their approach to doing the right thing for the customer. From the responsiveness and fair dealing, I experienced during the storm to creatively and correctly diagnosing the cause of the leak and repairing it- I am very impressed with 4A

I had a leak from a pipe vent on the roof which could of potentially caused allot of water damage on my ceilings if left for to long. Out of three estimates 4A Roofing was $300 more than the lowest estimate I received but they were the most personable and took the time to get on the roof to inspect unlike the two other estimates. They were not pushy and explained the products they would use. The roof was done in 2 days by a very nice crew with no nails or debris left behind. Our new roof looks great!

Dain was thorough in explaining the cost breakdown of the estimate. He was able to fit me in with my tight time schedule. The crew did a great job cleaning up, and Dain kept me informed as they uncovered concerns. GAF is a high quality roofing shingle, and they offered a very competitive price to other roofers using lower quality shingles. At a bare minimum, let them give you an estimate to compare, as you do not have to worry about if the work will be done correctly.

Dain was great. He got out to inspect the roof and provided his estimate quickly. His quote was very reasonable and despite a short delay on my part, he got our roof on the schedule right away and completed it within a few days. The crew was awesome. They were very respectful and were even mindful of things we were unaware of and would not have noticed (i.e. taking precautions regarding shingle scarring). They cleaned up after themselves each day and you wouldn't have known they were here after they finished the job (except for the new roof, of course). Finally, Dain noticed a few nitpicky things on his final inspection that we didn't and sent someone back to take care of them. I wouldn't hesitate recommending 4 A Roofing to friends and family.

I found a couple rotten spots in my roof right before we were getting ready to sell and move across country. 4A Roofing did a very professional job on the roof and even fix a couple spots in the driveway caused by the company delivering the new roofing material.

After watching them replace my neighbors roof I gave them a call. Dain was very prompt and professional. He inspected the roof and gave us options. The crew was fantastic! Very friendly, answered and questions or concerns I had. Did a great job cleaning up. I highly recommend them!

Dain was able to come out on the same day I called to look at the leak from my gas fireplace roof vent. When he was here for taking a look, Dain checked both the roof top and also the underside from the attic. He included pictures of all issues with his bid. He gave me a bid for fixing the leak, also replacing a cracked exhaust fan vent, and putting on some zinc oxide for moss. I thought the price was reasonable, so I said go ahead. They were able to come out the next day and complete the work, which was great because it was before it was going to rain again. Dain was very personable and easy to work with. I would definitely call Dain again for any other roof issues or roof maintenance.

Super responsive and honest. I had a leaking issue following a heavy rain. They were very quick to respond to inspect and evaluate the roof. They determined the roof was not the problem and recommended a great siding person to fix the problem.

I called on Friday late afternoon and they scheduled someone at to come out the next morning at 10 am, I asked if 1:00 was possible and Richard Widdoes showed up right at 1:00! He went up on my roof and found a couple of issues right away- one being the leak and the other was something installed improperly. He went to Home Depot to get the part needed, came back, replaced it and even went up in the ceiling to make sure there wasn’t any other problems. I couldn’t be happier with this company and how quickly and reasonably priced! Being a single woman it’s always hard to know who to call for issues like this, I’m so glad I chose the right company!!

Dain is a very organized, honest, and diligent man. He will give you the numbers on what it costs to repair a roof in a conscience and graceful manner. I called Dain on a Friday at 0700. He was the fourth roofing company I contacted, and informed me he could do the job from start to finish in 30 days. All other companies said they couldn’t even look at the place for at least 6 months! Dain wanted to go out there right after I called him. We are in the process of buying in Battle Ground, and our inspector found that the roof on the house we are wanting is in need of a total redo. Dain answered immediately, was willing to do inspect the place to provide an estimate, and filled me in on what I could expect from doing business with 4A. Because the sellers are still there, I couldn’t commit to having him do an inspection. But our realtor worked out a deal with the realtor of the sellers and Dain was able to get out there for us on a same day’s notice! We haven’t gotten a chance to use Dain and 4A, but I know where I’m going when the time comes.

Was so glad I chose Dain & 4ARoofing to do my job. His crew did great work and the price fell in the middle of the three estimates received.

This business needs to change its name from 4A Roofing to 4A+ Roofing. This business is an A+ rated business on the BBB website. It may be a young company, but Dain is definitely building a stellar reputation for roofing homes. If you need a new roof, or just a repair, I’d highly recommend this company.

Dain was very responsive and quick to get us a quote, yet patient enough to wait for our answer since we checked with several businesses to make certain we had a better understanding of costs. Once the work started, his employees were very professional and respectful, and cleaned up each day at the end of workday.

Overall, this was a very pleasant experience since we were extremely nervous about the costs and also the risks of getting ripped off(let's face it, most of us have had/heard of one horror story regarding contractors getting partial payments and then disappearing ‍).

Final costs were a little higher than the bid, no fault to Dain or his employees, we just decided on a couple of upgrades that we didn't option for at the beginning. Quality work, 50yr product (!), and reasonable prices, on top of gaining a great reputation. Thank you Dain.

What a great company with which to do business. Excellent work from Dain and his crew who tore off my old roof and installed a new quality product. Love the new roof, really appreciated the meticulous cleanup. Dain was responsive to all questions and answered emails very quickly. Call Dain with your roofing questions, just do it and you'll be glad you did, you won't be disappointed.

I chose this company after looking at a couple other options, and I have found no reason to be disappointed. I had a roof leak that ultimately resulted from a bad choice on the original builder's part and Dain was able to explain the issue and my options clearly. I live in a townhome and share a wall/roof with my neighbor so I had to clear things with said neighbor as we went, and I'm grateful for Dain's patience with that process. Once we had the green light from the neighbor and the HOA the work began right away, which I appreciate given the urgency of the situation. His team were professional, and they managed to get the job done before the rain returned and added to my woes.

These guys are amazing! My wife and I found a leak in our master bathroom and within a day they were out to do a quote. Because it was leaking they put us at the top of the list and we were able to get the issue resolved within two days. The owner was in constant contact with us and gave really quick communication letting us know what was happening and give us a very accurate quote. They were even able to provide us pictures so that we can submit it to our homebuilder to get reimbursed since we were in a fairly new home. They also took care of the mold that was starting to build up as well. Highly recommend them. Their quote was very competitive amongst the others, but it was the communication that sold us.

I highly recommend this company. Dain came out and inspected our roof after we noticed some leaks. He found a whole bunch of issues but his team did their best to patch it for us. When the issues were not resolved we elected to proceed with replacing the roof. I was never charged for the original patch job and based on three estimates 4A Roofing was very fair. The work was done quickly and it looks very nice. They even stayed within budget even though some unforeseen issues popped up. The guys were very friendly and personable with us.
