Zaxis Contracting

Zaxis has done many projects for our business both residential and commercial as well as our personal home. We have used them for anything from block walls, patio remodels with engineered plans, concrete pad replacements , and an outdoor shower. They are always on time, reliable, and clean up the work area at the end of the day.

Zaxis came and filled the sunken living room in our home. This also required raising our back door to match the height. Very professional team that showed up early for every day of the job. Answered every question we had and cleaned up after themselves. Team was very detailed in how high to bring up the concrete so that once we add flooring it would all be the same height. Communication was GREAT! They were prompt in coming out to give a quote and were able to get us on the schedule within a week of giving them the go-ahead to move forward. Definitely will be using them again for any other projects we have!!

Poor quality of work. We had a stamped concrete patio put in. The agreement started that rebar would be placed 1 ft on center both directions. A few days before the concrete was poured the rebar was set about 3 ft on center. The supervisor told me they ran out but would put in the rest before pouring the concrete. After watching our security camera footage that did not happen and no additional rebar was added. Additionally, the stress joints were not strait and they waited to long to stamp the concrete making the impressions disproportionate and in some areas non existent. I was hopeful that the sealer would help to bring some of this out more and help it look better but it did not. I am also very disappointed in the mess that was left behind. Chips in my walls paint, splashed concrete everywhere, and over sprayed sealer on my regular sidewalks and landscaping rock. The camera footage also showed them dumping excess chemical sealer on my trees that were very expensive and recently planted. Hoping they do not die now. Overall we are not happy.

Zaxis Contracting preforms miracles! The only company I will call for ground up, remodels or concrete work. Steve is fantastic! I’ve worked with Zaxis on multiple projects, everyone is always happy with their work, service and professionalism. I would highly recommend Zaxis.

This company kept saying they would schedule a time with me, for three months. I received an estimate right away and was told they would be out to work on my fence after a couple months of reminding them frequently that I still needed this done, then they never showed and never communicated about it. There was back and forth where I was completely understanding and willing to give the benefit of the doubt for three months, but I was told they usually only do large projects, so that meant mine wasn't a priority to them. When I voiced my concerns, I was told that I was being ridiculous.

Zaxis team was professional, courteous and did an amazing job at our home. We extended the concrete driveway to allow additional parking space. Very happy with the job. Thank you.

We just had a large outoor project and kitchen remodel completed by Steve and his crew. They are very professional and take care of all issues that arise. I have had work done by other companies, but Zaxis will be my ONLY call going forward for all my projects.

I hired Zaxis to install a block wall in my back yard back in March, and it was finally finished the first week of July. I worked mostly with Gavin, and explained from the beginning how important communication was, as I had funds and knew how I wanted the wall done. He said he understood and he’d keep me involved in everything. That didn’t happen.

Basically it took almost four months for the project to be finished, a portion of the project wasn’t done because Gavin had doubts about the neighbor’s wall footer being stable, the crew left trash (food and drink wrappers) all over my yard, the gate was made with unfinished wooden slats, and there’s a section where water pools outside of the wall where the dirt was never leveled.

I did reach out to the company to express my concerns and spoke with Steve on the phone. He said they could build up the neighbor’s wall but they couldn’t guarantee it due to the unknown footers (understandable), but that they would charge more than the original estimate (which should have included the amount from the get-go). I decided against it. He said he would personally come and level the dirt around the wall to prevent water pooling, and that we’d shake on things before I paid.

That didn’t happen. I never met Steve. They did come with the tractor and level out the back yard, but left the section in the front. When they were done leveling things they just came to the door and asked for the payment and left.

The wall looks good and seems sturdy. I’m glad it was finally done. But due to the lack of communication, level of unprofessionalism, and overall cost, I would not recommend Zaxis Contracting.
