John (see photo) went above (pun intended) and beyond a traditional roofing estimator. He corrected the insurance companies mistaken estimate. He helped after the fact when we needed some documents for our realtor. And, of course he was at the job site, effectively managing a 3-day install on a large and complicated roof. John had our roofing job done within 20 days of the original contact. Our neighbors were still waiting for MONTHS because they did not call Zags! I seldom write reviews but Zags earned these 5 stars.

WOW...it's not every day you find an honest contractor who talks the talk AND walks the walk!! I called them out for a quote. After inspecting my roof, they told me I had damage on my roof that might be covered by my homeowners insurance. I was wary as I didn't want to make a claim and then have that claim denied. They were transparent and said there's no guarantee in insurance but that there was a lot of weather damage on my roof and showed me pictures to prove it. I took a chance, filed a claim, and sure enough, Zags met with my adjuster and got my claim approved within a couple of weeks. They replaced my roof last week and it looks amazing. Their workmanship is topnotch. SO THANKFUL to their entire team!!

Highly recommend this company for anybody in need of a new roof. We couldn't be happier with ours. Their team is professional, courteous,and communicative. Pricing was very fair. A+ job!!

We hired Zags to replace our cedar roof. Their bid was a little bit higher than the other contractor we were considering, but Asher, our salesman, although young, seemed trustworthy and like he and his company cared a lot about quality so I decided to go with them. So glad I did! From start to finish, Zags was professional, did great work, did exactly what they said they would do. Job well done!

Hands down the best roofing company I have ever dealt with. Hired them originally to replace the roof and gutters on my rental property in Peoria and then they did such nice work that I decided to use them again for my house as well. Everyone who I dealt with from this company was a true professional. The salesman John was timely, presented well, and seemed extremely knowledgeable. The project manager and crew were great. The owner Sam even called me after they did my first job to thank me for my business and ensure everything went smoothly. Every contractor should strive to be as good as these guys!

We could not be happier with our new roof. From the initial conference with Asher to the final clean-up supervised by Jeremie, everything was handled professionally and expeditiously. Asher answered all our questions and worked with our insurance company to secure our roof replacement. Jeremie monitored his team from tear-off through final clean-up making sure our installation was first rate. FYI everything was done in one day and our yard was left spotless. If you have been contacted by them and are sitting on the fence, I urge you to go for it - you will not be disappointed.

Amazing experience with Zags Roofing! We became aware of a small opening on the roofline where we believe mice were entering our attic. Zaggs Field Operations Manager Jeremie came out to give me an estimate and fixed it on the spot! He was very honest about it only needing some caulk, which he had in his truck. If I have any larger issues in the future, I will be using Zaggs! Call them!

This company has been AMAZING to work with. They have been professional all the way though the process. They walked me through the process of working with insurance and were so patient. The work was completed quickly and perfectly. They followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied and are the most friendly company to work with. I can't recommend using ZAGS for your roof and siding enough.

The best decision we made was hiring Zags Roofing for our new roof, siding, facia and gutters. They are professional, honest, fairly priced, and did an impeccable job! They completed the project within a week and did a thorough cleaning of the job site.

After a hail storm, I tried to file a claim for my roof and gutters using another contractor. I initially got denied. I saw Zags installing one of my neighbor's roofs, so I decided to call them to see if they could possibly do anything. Asher came out, inspected my roof, and told me that they could fight my insurance company because there was more than sufficient damage on my house. Sure enough, they not only got my roof and gutters covered by insurance, but also got new siding approved for me. I am so beyond grateful to Asher and the whole company. These guys are the best in the business!

They got me a new roof through insurance. My only out-of-pocket cost was my deductible. Such a smooth and easy process. These guys are the best in the business.

Haley and the Zags team were so great to deal with. There are a few companies around the North Shore that people speak highly of - Zags is one of them and I can confidently say their reputation is well-deserved. I interviewed and got bids from several roofing companies - Zags, Etruscan, Lindholm, and Shake Guys. Zags' presentation was by far the best. Haley was so knowledgeable and friendly, and I never felt pressured by her. After I saw their price, choosing Zags was an easy decision. They did a great job and were professional in every respect. Can't recommend them enough.

When we decided to replace our roof, we got 3 bids from different contractors. We initially chose another contractor whose price was a little cheaper. I wish I chose Zags originally! The contractor I chose tried to install a cheaper shingle on my roof than promised. So I cancelled my deposit and called Zags.They were great to deal with from start to finish. They came out, honored their original estimate, and got me on the schedule right away. My roof came out looking great! They did exactly what they said they would do - delivering on-time and on-budget. I've highly recommended Zags to all of my neighbors, family, and friends! They may not be the cheapest, but their pricing is fair, their customer service is great, and the quality of their installation is worth every penny! Thanks again to the whole Zags team!

We had Hail damage in IL this Spring that killed our roof. Zags came out, was super pro through all aspects especially Jeremie Brackett, who project managed the whole job till the end! He is a true professional, honest and really hard to find folks like him anymore. Also the owner Zach from Zags was great as well. I even recommended them to my friend down the block and they are doing his job next. I HIGHLY recommend Zags for all your Roofing, Gutters, Skylight, and Exhaust cover replacement. As opposed to other companies who came to the door to very unprofessionally badmouth other roofers. ZAGS is THE BEST!!!!! JT

I worked with two young men named Brian and Asher and they made sure to keep me informed and worked with me through the whole process, We got a new roof paid for by our home insurance and everything was handled professionally. I would recommend this company to anyone in the Illinois area.

We had all of our exterior work done (siding, window wraps, roof, gutters) done by a company that Zags has recently purchased. I called the previous owner who told me that the company was sold to Zags and they would be honoring the guarantee. I contacted Jeremie Brackett at Zags. He was at our home 2 days later and fixed the issue. Jeremie was professional, thorough, on time, detailed on the process, and was extremely easy to work with. All I can say is this if Zags's employees are all like Jeremie Brackett, I know we are good hands.

After a tornado went thru our community leaving our home with wind and hail damage, ZAGS came by and did a feee inspection, worked with our insurance adjuster for approval, and then came in with a crew and started/finished the job in one day. They answered all our questions and concerns and kept us informed thru the whole process. Jereme and the team were great and we would highly recommend ZAGS roofing.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Zags. After seeing them working on a neighbors house, I asked for an inspection on my roof to see if I had any damage. They were incredible from start to finish and made the entire process easy. Alexander in the office was a great help and kept me updated the entire time and answered all of my questions. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the work Zags Roofing under Sam ‘s leadership did at our house. The work crews were true professionals from roofing to guttering. I was impressed with their attention to the details. They went above and beyond and did what was right and not just the basics. Best of all they did the work first and on time and dealt with the insurance company afterwards. They committed to a date and finished on time regardless of the weather. Absolutely wonderful! Jeremy was great and always stayed communicated with us and when the day came to put the new roof on he was there with his crew and they were done by the end of the day! They made sure they had everything cleaned up and even went around with magnets to make sure there were no nails in our yard! I couldn't have asked for a better company!
