We hired the company to replace our roof and Joe was amazing. He did a great job commuicating everything. The team worked with our insurance company to resolve the issues we had and did a great job in ensuring all the work was done properly. The quality of the work was really good.

Used this company after hail damage. Service at first was prompt and everything looked good. 3 years later, we have a leaky roof and skylight. We have tried to contact them, they took our name and forwarded it to "operations department" but no followup. We have tried multiple times to contact them and they are not responsive. They're not following through on their 5 year labor warranty. BEWARE!!!

I can't write enough about what an excellent experience we had with capital construction. Roof replacement and exterior painting. Mike was INCREDIBLY helpful! He was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly thorough during the entire process. Even the sub contractor that Capital construction chose to paint our house was incredibly easy to work with and did an AMAZING job. Having dealt with our share of terrible contractors for other projects I was so worried going into this but capital construction blew it out of the park. I would 100% recommend them especially Mike.

I was trying to replace my 21 year old roof and sent out some inquiries. Mike Choi showed up and let me know that we had hailstorm last year and we may qualify for insurance reimbursement. I was not sure of it initially but guess what, he got us a free roof and gutter and downsprouts! Their team came on time as promised. Did a clean job. (i had soft drinks and water ready as it was hot outside, i think guys appreciated that). Almost no debris or nails around (i did find a couple small piece but not much at all). The gutter guy came another time and was the best. He showed me how work can be performed differently with different attitudes and i learned a lot. I waited a couple weeks to pass them final payment and went up to my attic a few times when it rained. Everything is good so far. Throughout the whole process, Mike was very professional, accommodating and stayed with his words. I recommended him to my neighbough and they also got a free new roof plua a whole bunch of other stuff. Obviously Mike knows how to convince insurance adjustors. Anyway, i procrastinated this review a couple months and still my ceilings are dry. Let's hope it stays this way through this winter. I will come back with another update in spring.

Dennis is a very nice guy. He inspected my old roof, and ensured that he can communicate with my insurance company on behalf of me to get claim done soon and maximized with confident. He did that quickly and professionally. The roof installation was completed on time in good quality. The whole process was going smoothly and I was happy with it. I would use Capital again and would also recommend Capital to anyone.

During a storm I noticed a small amount of water dripping through a closet. I contacted multiple contractors for estimates.
The first company that came out inspected the roof and told me they would return the following week to meet with my insurance adjuster. I expressed concern about more water coming in, as there were storms in the forecast and my concerns were dismissed (needless to say I did not work with the company).
When I called Capital Construction the receptionist/office assistant was very calm and actually comforting as I expressed my concerns. She (yikes, I don't recall her name) assured me someone would contact me shortly. Mike C. contacted me within an hour and scheduled a time to come out...upon arrival, he did a full inspection AND LISTENED to my concerns and tarped the spot on my roof where the water was coming in! I felt so much better knowing that I would not have more water damage during the next rainstorm. Mike worked with my insurance adjuster as they both thoroughly inspected the outside and inside of my home...the result: my roof and gutters were replaced each completed in one day!! I am very pleased with the service provided by Capital Construction. Mike C. was professional and personable (he used my name during all communication which was a nice touch). I am very satisfied with the quality of work that was completed on my home.

I have to hire another contractor to come in and fix the work Capital Construction did at my home. I spent $15,000 on a new roof that they guaranteed their work would fix my leaks. Not only did not their work not fix the leaks but now the leaks are worse. I have called, texted and sent emails but they have stopped responding to my requests to remediate. Buyer beware.

We interviewed several roofing companies before ultimately selecting Capital Construction and Restoration. They were exceptional and responsive to all of our needs - and beautiful craftsmanship. (Warning: Summary is a bit long; but I wanted to give the full picture of Captial's great customer service and how they helped me battle big insurance to get my roof)

I have nothing but good things to say about Capital Construction & Restoration. A big storm came through my town in Aug. 2020 that resulting in multiples areas of my roof getting damaged, and one whole side of the house's shingles flying away. I had placed several calls to other roofers but none of them could do an inspection right away. Funny thing is, I never called Captial. This is where Joseph comes in. He was inspecting my neighbor's that lives behind me and noticed the damage. We walked over and introduced himself. I informed him that I had a few roofers lined up already but I went a head at let him do an inspection anyway. When he came down, he recommended a new roof. At first I was skeptical because I thought he was a storm chaser. He put no pressure and was fine when I told him I had others coming out to inspect as well. His demeanor and respect he showed to me made me cancel my appointments with the other roofers.
Fast forward a week. The adjuster comes for their inspection and Joe drives all the way down to Frankfort from Northbrook. (not a short drive) to be present for the inspection. It was at this time I told Joe that I was ready for a denial, as this was my 3rd time asking for a new roof. (I had major hail damage from the year before, but insurance did not want to pay for it). Good news, the adjuster came down and informed us that he will recommend full roof replacement, but that "it will depend on the desk adjuster's assessment" in the end. Two weeks later, insurance did a 180 and was not going to pay for a full replacement.
This is where Joe and Elijah shine. This was not their first rodeo. I thought Joe was going to disappear much like the other roofers who bailed upon hearing "denied." Not Joe. He and Elijah gave me all the argument points in favor for full replacement. Without their input I would have just accepted the insurance's offer. Appeals went on for about another almost two months.

By this time it is now November and the roof was approved. Joe's team came out early in the morning and were done by the time the sun went down. They were fast and cleaned up all debris.

Without a doubt I highly recommend Capital Construction & Restoration. Very professional, highly knowledgable. They stuck around when most will disappear.

I called Capital to look at my roof, I was contacted by Elijah Yen, and from that first phone call till the roof and gutters were competed, Elijah worked with me to ensure that all bases were covered. He contacted the insurance company, provided me with several options , and finally stayed with the project till the last nail was hammered in! I would recommend him and his company if you have any roofing needs!

Elijah and his team at Capital Restoration did a phenomenal job after the hailstorm! Besides damage to our cars, we didn't even consider the possibility of damage to our roof. My mom recommended him, and at first I was hesitant, but she was relentless ... hah! We eventually 'caved' and called Elijah, and thank God we did! We didn't have to do much as Elijah took care of all the details. After he negotiated with the insurance company, we ended up with almost twice the amount they initially offered. And the best part is that they paid his fee directly so we used the entire amount awarded to us to repair our home! Capital Construction is exceptional. After the April 2020 hail storm, they did a lot of work in our neighborhood and worked with our insurance company to replace our roof, gutters, downspouts, and siding. This was a massive job, which had to be coordinated and done in stages with the different suppliers and workmen. Everything was done when promised and we couldn't be happier. Phil, in particular, went WAY above and beyond; he was always immediately responsive and the communication was excellent. He really treated our project as if he were working on his own home - everything, from initial contact to follow-up coordination to finished project, was done professionally and thoroughly. Lots of contractors promise you the moon, but fail to deliver; Phil was just the opposite - not only was he always true to his word, he also went the extra mile for us. Elijah also deserves a big shout-out for really holding our insurance company's feet to the fire to get them to pay what they should; insurance companies want to pay only the minimum, but Elijah kept going back to them to make sure everything was covered. Both Phil and Elijah were really there for us and had our back. We enthusiastically recommend them - two big "thumbs up" from us!

Capital Construction worked on my parent’s house in Skokie . My parents are elderly, so I worked with them throughout the whole time.They worked with our insurance through the process , and after everything was approved they came and replaced the roof in one day. The exterior of our house in NW Evanston was damaged to the tune of nearly $25k following a significant hail storm. When it came time to replace our aluminum siding with Hardie we called Joe on the recommendation of a neighbor. Joe earned our trust early with great communication and helpful guidance throughout the claim process and was onsite to maximize the claim with our adjuster. We eventually received 4-6 competitive quotes on the project before signing a contract. Joe took the time to review these quotes and match another well-reviewed local contractor. The eventual teardown and installation took nearly 2 weeks, but Joe stopped by every 2 or so days to provide updates and finalize last minute color and design choices. We could not be happier with our experience and the finished project. I will be using Joe for all our future construction needs and referring him to our friends and family.

We worked with Michael from the initial proposal through the last nail being hammered down. He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and managed our expectations with effective communication with any changes. The distributor provided us with two different textures of siding that were the same color, which was only noticeable if you knew what you were looking for. The job was completed, but Capital team didn’t hesitate to remove around 60% of the siding and replace it with the correct materials in one day, and assumed the labor costs. Capital Construction and Restoration is a first class outfit. They did exactly what they said they would do, replacing our roof. They were on time and did a top notch job. Elijah did a great job in helping out with the insurance claim process from start to end. He approached me to see if he can inspect my roof for wind damages after a big storm on labor day. He called the insurance company with my presence to file claim. He was present when adjuster was inspecting my roof. I think he had a big hand in getting my claim approved from the adjuster. Scheduling the date for roof replacement was easy and his crew showed up on time and finished the roof. They did a great job for me and couple of my neighbors. I also had a leak in living room ceiling. Elijah was able to fix that too.

Elijah was also super quick to respond on any quesrions I have.

One big thing I liked about this company is thry didnt ask for payment or check before the work was done.

Overall a great experience and very professional. Very happy with their work. Already recomended them to couple of my buddies.
