Now if you want to give away $20k and wait YEARS for work to be done then hire these guys! They are great at scamming people and full of empty promises. Just read most of the other reviews that are not clouded by their friends leaving fake 5 star reviews.
I could not in good faith ever recommend this company to anyone. It's a complete waste of time and energy. You will not come out ahead when dealing with this company. If there was 0 stars that's what I would give you.

Update: X-ess/Xcess/Excess or however many other BS business names they have had 30 days to complete the work or issue me a refund. Neither has happened. STAY AWAY

My roof was missing shingles, holes in certain areas and just overall bad storm damage- it was also roughly 20 years old, the insurance company refused to replace the roof and just wanted to repair the bad parts. I argued the point for full replacement and they denied it. I met Adam Edward from X-eSS Exteriors (Public Adjusters) and explained my story, they took a look at my roof and said that they would work with the insurance company on getting this situation resolved and did not understand why they were denying the replacement for the roof. They met with my insurance company on a Monday, I had a check from the insurance company by Wednesday. I cannot begin thank them enough, as it was I was looking at having to pay for a whole new roof myself (which I cannot afford). Since then Adam has stopped back by and went over shingle selection and dates for the actual work to be done. nothing but professionalism and just straight up caring for the client. I would recommend this company to everyone!

X-eSS was recommended to me by a friend. A adjuster named Adam shows up and after that everything was taking care and of. He was honest about what they could do for me and so far he was spot on! Adam and the company he works for has handled everything from filing with insurance company , to the inspections, to the approval of the claim. After months of just trying to get a company to show up for a estimate ( which was a lot harder than it should of been) To now X-eSS getting ready start replacing my roof. So far this has been a great experience for me. Thank you X-eSS and Adam!

The process went well. They are Public Adjusters, and worked through my insurance company to get the repairs taken care of, due to storm damage. The staff was professional, informative, and eager to answer any questions I had. The crew that did the work was punctual, professional, and efficient. It was quite a nice experience and I would recommend them to friends and family.

X-ess Exteriors is a great contractor! Their Public Adjusters got me approved through All State for a new roof, siding, and gutters. The salesmen were very personable and the laborers were so polite and worked extremely hard! I would recommend them to anyone that has storm damage.

It’s a scam. Everything they did was Illegal and a scam. They cashed around $20k worth of checks and never got everything completed. I filed a complaint with the DOI and they were able to get me off the contract because they were able to prove the contract was illegal.

I had the BEST experience with these guys. Reliable and great communication. They were so easy to work with and our siding is absolutely beautiful!!! Hands down the best around.

BEWARE! This company is a complete SCAM! I would give them 0 stars if I were able to. We decided to use X-ess after a big storm that caused damage to our roof and siding. When ripping off the roof, they left debris everywhere and to this day we are still finding rusty nails around our property... especially concerning for a home with children. They completed the roof job and were supposed to come back for the siding repairs (4,500 worth of damage). They kept pushing out the date, and winter came where we experienced some leaking from our brand new roof. A guy came, and told us they were experiencing similar problems with other homes and that they would need to research, talk to the company and get back to us.... Well we NEVER heard from this company since! We have tried to contact them on several occasions and we never get a response. I have yet again tried to contact them, and this time I will be going to the BBB and the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General. I see that there are other similar reviews of service. Its also a joke that the owner rated himself 5 stars.

RUN RUN RUN FAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!! A guy named "James" came to the house with a roofer named "Tony" indicating we HAD to sign a contract hiring the company to repair our roof. Actually it was a contract (that was filled in after I signed it, stupid me) for a 10% total fee and allowing him total access to our insurance policies! James cussed out my husband, probably speaks 20 words of English, VERY hard to understand and impossible to deal with. We now hired an Attorney to free ourselves of these idiots and continue with a reputable roofing company. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!

Not even enough time or space on here to begin to tell you about one nightmare after another I had with this company earlier this year!! I can honestly say BEWARE and STAY AWAY from this company!! By the way, Max Choi who rated 5 stars on a review is the OWNER of this company!!

This company is all smoke and mirrors. They come knocking on your door after a storm and talk you into getting roof / siding etc without any $$ out of your pocket. The sales men are diligent, communicate well and they follow through prior to the repairs. They even tell you to hold a bit of the $$ as an insurance that they will do a good job! As soon as they workers come and go and they collect your last insurance check, it's an entirely different story. This company has charged my insurance company $34,125.84 since July 2011.
We had a leak in our ceiling and some damaged aluminum siding in July 2011 (big summer storm) They knocked on our door, we let them in. The work consisted of tearing down the aluminum siding, (they took it for scrap) and gave us vinyl plus 1/2 the roof. Never went into the attic to figure out why our roof is leaking. Said the new vents and 1/2 roof would take care of it.($16,756.78 charged to insurance) Next winter, thaw, roof leaks again. Our sales guy and project manager are no longer working for company. Takes until Aug 2015 to get someone out again. Told us that you must need the entire roof done and because of the water damage inside, so new ceiling paint and walls. They still never go into the attic to figure out moisture/ ventilation issues ($17,469.06 charged to insurance). Winter 2016, freeze and thaw, same leak in roof. It's now July 2017 and we still have not been able to get ANYONE out to honor their warrantee on the new roof from 2015. This company is horrible to deal with and I wish we never dealt with them in the first place! The 5 star review on this site is from their project manager who currently works there. I hope I can spare any of my Lake County neighbors the hassle of dealing with this company!!!
