Our sewer pipe broke in the crawl space. From the first phone call to the end of the clean up / repair McMahon's staff was amazing. Rosa talked us off the ledge and walked us through the process. Craig came out right away and had an estimate within hours. He worked with our insurance company to complete repairs. The repair crew were prompt, professional and communicated every step of the way. They made a stressful situation manageable. We highly recommend them.

My basement flooded! Scott and his team were here to clean up the huge mess. I cannot believe how wonderful they were. It was a huge mess with a lot of water damage. They were here expeditiously and went right to work. It took 3 days for the entire clean up which was amazing. Every single team member (there were at least 12 different men throughout the process) were so kind, nice, respectful and hard working. They kept me apprised at all times. They were very careful not to damage anything in my home while coming in and out. They did a fantastic job!! I am so grateful for everything they did. They made a horrible situation bearable by easing my mind throughout. I would give them above 5 stars if I could. Hopefully you will never need this type of service but if you do PLEASE call them, you won’t be disappointed! Thank all of you at McMahons for everything!

Our ice maker malfunctioned & we had a flood at our house in middle of night. It totally destroyed our kitchen/dining hardwood & poured downstairs into our family room. I woke to take dog out & immediately my husband & I turned off water, on house & fridge, sopped up, hurled stuffed animals and toys out of its path but walls & ceiling ruined downstairs. A day passed before insurance agent sent McMahon info. They came immediately & in 3/4 days had it all dried up. Dryers, fans, air scrubber, put up plastic walls to seal area to expedite drying. Used drying mats on floors hoping they’d be saved. They moved heavy stuff cleared areas, etc. the workers & estimators were thorough, kind, and easy to work with on mitigation.

Dealing with McMahon Services was really nice. Their staff is extremely friendly and did great work. They did my whole roof in a day. I had some issues with the miscommunication between them and my insurance adjustor which delayed the work for a long while but once the details were figured out the project was finished relatively fast.

When our sump pump and battery backup failed, which caused flooding in the finished part of our basement, McMahon arrived within three hours. They promptly remediated the damage and helped us expedite the insurance process. That project had a successful outcome, so we engaged their services to remodel a bathroom, replace a deck with a new patio, install crown molding in the living and dining rooms, and remodel the kitchen (which included adding a new island). I’m happy with the quality of each of these projects. My only disappointment is the number of delays (multiple reasons) experienced throughout the various projects—an area for growth and the reason for a 4 vs. 5 score.

Our experience with McMahon Services was very positive. Tom and Andrew were out to survey damages just one day after a tree had fallen on our garage.
When there was any kind of insurance issue Tom and Andrew were here to meet insurance reps. There were many different faces here so if I have forgotten someone I apologize. Thankfully Andrew helped us navigate 100% of insurance issues. I definitely felt he was working in our best interest. Our project manager, Joey, was attentive throughout the duration of our project which due to insurance glitches lasted longer than we had thought it would, 5 months. Tom, Andrew and Joey were always friendly, polite, informative and very prompt in returning calls and/or texts which I truly appreciated. Thank You!

My garage roof suffered from 40+ years of neglect plus penetrating damage from a recent hail storm. The McMahon folks replaced all the roofing parts from the sheathing up. It is now tight, no leaks, comfortable for my little workshop inside. McMahon also worked through the complicated process with the insurance company. Thanks, McMahon.

We highly recommend McMahon Services. We had discovered mold in our attic due to a venting issue. We called McMahon for an estimate. Joe and John came out to check out the attic and a few other issues we had. they assured us that the company could take care of everything and gave us a quote for all the work. After much consideration and a few other estimates, we decided to go with McMahon. Once the work was scheduled, Joe and his team notified us when they would arrive and what they would be doing. They took care of everything we needed and did an excellent job. They made sure we knew what was happening and Joe was easy to reach with any questions we had. Once it was complete, Joe came out to make sure all was good. They were very professional, courteous and neat. We are so happy with the results and we would recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

From the beginning ( taking out everything damaged from water and drying it all out) to replacing dry wall, flooring and painting McMahon did an excellent job! All of the employees were helpful, easy to work with, listened to my concerns and were professional in every way. Amanda and Tim went above and beyond my expectations, however, every single person I dealt with truly were exceptional to work with.

There isn’t enough words to describe my appreciation for the work they did on my front door. Kevin my project manager was always on top of things & keeping me updated along the way. Mark & Vit my contractors did an amazing job eliminating all the dry rot around my front door & putting everything back together brand new. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing work to be done. Also have to give compliments to the office for also keeping in contact with me every step of the way.

If i could give zero stars i would, they never did the work that they were paid to do. I had a pipe burst in December and my kitchen is still down to studs and concrete. Almost 7 months!! Nothing has been done. I am not thrilled at all with McMahon and now my insurance company has had to step in.

The process from start to finish was smooth from quote to project completion. Communication was on point. Our project manager was very attentive and available over text which was convenient.

They were very responsive for the water damage. I am going to use McMahon for the cleanup, repair & additional work. Why use another provider when you are pleased with work so far. I am sure they will continue the same for my up coming work.

Responsive, communicated well and was very quality conscious. I was especially impressed by the fact that they had a quality control individual who examined the completed work after completion.

McMahon was recommended by my insurance company as a preferred vendor. They came right away and started the cleanup and teardown immediately. They were professional and friendly. They made various recommendations concerning future plumbing issues that we implemented very quickly.

So I recently bought a new home and the previous owners were strong cigarette smokers. The house smelled like smoke and the walls and carpet had many yellow stains and burnt marks. I found McMahon online and read their reviews and every review I saw was positive. So I decided to call them to try and restore the house and get rid of the smell. I spoke to them and every employee I’ve spoke to is very nice and profesional. The only problem I had was that the job that was done to the home was not noticeable. So basically I payed a lot of money for almost no change. The walls were still stained and there was still smoke odor in the house. They did get rid of a lot of the smell but there was still smoke odor. I was really disappointed in the decision I made to trust them to restore my house. I made better progress and more improvements to the house myself and with the help of people I know. Ultimately I feel like it’s my own fault and my money went to waste. Maybe I expected too much or something much different ?

Job included structural repair. Poor carpentry quality, site supervisor often left for other jobs, initial construction not in accordance with architect plans. They said they would be more expensive and I expected that to mean high quality work.They were just much more expensive. They replaced my skylight due to age, but the replacement unit did not fit the opening. I will have to use trim and paint to cover up the mismatch. They never mentioned that the replacement was the wrong size. Found out when workers were trying to install. I am still doing rework because I don't trust them to fix things properly. See photos. I would never recommend them for any work. Period. Could write a book on the errors.

Unexpected sewage backup is never fun, but with McMahon they tried to make it the best experience possible. They were quick, efficient, responsive, and did quality work. My basement restoration and repair looks amazing and I am thrilled with the outcome. We will definitely be spending more time in the area with how great it looks. McMahon worked with the insurance company to make sure that the needed repairs were covered. The entire team was friendly and I enjoyed working with them and will definitely call them in the future with any needs.

This company is fantastic! They gave us an estimate for work we wanted done and stayed on task, got all done in a timely manner and explained all as they went along. There were a few minor hiccups along the way, Mainly
because what we thought would work wasn't going to, but all in all WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK AND THE PROFESSIONALISM of all the workers! We already have an estimate for another project!

From the day of the fire in late March, McMahon Services told us step by step what needed to be done. During a time when materials were hard to get, McMahon ordered items they knew they would need later making it possible for us to get back in our home before the holidays. This Company is outstanding! I don’t know anything about construction, but they were patient with us and held our hand through the entire process. They actually answered they’re phones AND our questions. The job was was done well (our windows, siding and roof look awesome), on time, and at a fair price. I highly recommend McMahon Services!

Tom the owner was great to work with. He promptly answered all our questions. We knew we could trust everyone he sent to our home. Liz was our project manager and she was always available to make sure the remodel was going smoothly.

McMahon is very professional and I am very happy with the end result of their work. The floor looks great and the painting was fantastic. They also did a good job moving all of our furniture out and back in the house with great care. The one area of feedback is regarding communication. This was a large job and involved several crews during a period of 6 months. I feel that the communication between McMahon, myself, and the other contractors could’ve been better and minimized some unnecessary stress.

Had water damage in my living room ceiling that came from the water heater upstairs in the laundry room. Called the office in the morning and Tom and his crew where there a few hours later to start the drying process. Went thru my insurance so it took a few weeks to finally get everything repaired and painted, and of course definitely not the company's fault. Repairs were done in 2 days, guys were very professional and efficient. Ideally I don't want to go through something like this again but if I do I'm definitely using McMahon services.

McMahon did a great job managing repairs on my home, after storm damage, replacing all of my siding, a window and door and managing fence repair. They made sure that all work was completed to my satisfaction. They repaired all screens that were damaged from the siding installation, and cleaned everything up when complete

We had water damage in our 100 yo house. Several contractors were recommended by our insurance company. I liked McMahon's attitude and style. They were great to work with. Communicating well. On time. Meticulous about mask wearing and cleanup. Followed up on the details. Don't think there was a single punch list item.

We searched the internet for contractors for a potential Mold issue. After reading reviews of different companies we chose McMahon Services. They came out promptly, assessed the area, and we received a free estimate the same day. Once we accepted the estimate Tom scheduled the crew for the following week. The crew arrived on-time, were very professional, courteous and finished in a day. We are very pleased with the results of the completed job. We will be contracting them again for another job in the Spring.

Mcmahon construction services have done 2 projects for me. First when my basement flooded, they were here at 8 am the next morning. Couldn’t have asked for a quicker response. They worked with my insurance company and were very detailed in their handling of the project. Since they did such a good job with that situation I brought them back to add another bedroom into our existing floor plan. John, Liz and the team were great. Could not have asked for a better outcome. And my kids are ecstatic!!

McMahan Services did an outstanding & professional job on our water cleanup. All the people that were in & out of our home were wonderful. I received follow up calls from both the office staff & my contact person daily. I would highly recommend this company.

And additional detail work not available to note above. Although process was lengthy, it was complicated and we assume has corrected our issues. We will not know until the end of winter but the details we can see are wonderful and as an aside, we have been intimately involved, which they graciously endured.

McMahon Services did a great job during a difficult situation when my house was damaged due to a
sewer line backup. All of the contractors were high quality with great attention to detail and very responsive to questions or changes to original plans. They were also a good value for the quality of work.

I called McMahon Services in a panic after I realized our basement was under over a 18 inches of water. Within the hour, John and his staff were in the basement pumping out the water. The next morning, they worked quickly to get the wet items, drywall, carpet, and appliances out of our basement. Work was done professionally and with respect for our belongings. Several staff came to help and all were kind and helpful. We were able to contract McMahon to do a few other things around the house, unrelated to the flooded basement. I would not hesitate to call McMahon Services for flood cleanup or any project/construction we need around the house. Thank you John, and staff- you were amazing!

Our basement flooded and the stress of knowing who to call and what to do was upon us. We called McMahon services. Within an hour, John came out and assessed our situation. He explained the entire process from end to end and ensured he would handle everything....which he absolutely did! That same day, he had his crew out to start the process. McMahon was detailed oriented from the initial assessment of my home until the job was completed. They take nothing for granted and are quick to answer questions. A flood came from the second floor through the ceiling, down the walls and floor all the way into the basement. It was a big job ! All of the staff were friendly and so helpful. The construction crew did excellent work. I was quite pleased with McMahon Services!

They did a very great job. When the accident happened they came very quickly, everything was done professionally and good of quality. We had no problems with anything. After they were done they rechecked everything again making sure that everything is perfect. Special thanks to Tom, he is indeed a very good worker and a person in general. My wife and I returned from a (2) week trip overseas to find a saturated carpet in our finished basement from a failed sump pump. We figured the soaked carpet sat there for a week and a half while the drywall soaked up moisture, We also found mold was starting to form.

We called McMahon Services at 9:30 on a Monday morning. Jim McMahon stopped over at 11:00 and explained what needed to be done. We found Jim friendly, professional, concerned, and very honest. We agreed to get started and his team came out within (2) hours. By the end of the day they moved, blocked up and covered our belongings, cut out the lower two feet of drywall, removed the wet carpet, and set several de-humidifiers. Wow, they moved fast! And all the time letting us know what was going on and timing for the next things.

Over two weeks, drywall and molding were replaced, painting completed, washing machine, dryer, toilet, and vanity installed, and carpet replaced. During this time the teams arrived promptly at 8:00AM and worked until 6:00. All of them were courteous and took great pride in what they did. Dee stopped by or called 3-4 times to make sure we were happy with the work. Over the course of the project, they made suggestions on some of the finish touches which ended up being great ideas. Also, the (2) workers who Jim subcontracted with that did the drywall and painting, went above and beyond what they had to and did an excellent job!

Our business offices were substantially damaged by a burst hot water heater above the ceiling. The result was extensive mold and water damage. McMahon Services took charge and completely remediated and rebuilt. Fabulous! Choosing the right firm was really important since I am not located in Illinois and had to trust them. They delivered professionally and proved trustworthy. I highly recommend.

These guys were very responsive! And the guys who did the work were diligent, attentive to detail and cleaned up really well after each day of work....loved the worry free experience of them fixing up my basement after 2 sump pumps burned out on me.
