Wortham Brothers Roofing

Wortham Brothers came out and removed our shingles on the house and detached garage and replaced them with a new roof all in one day. It was incredible to watch. And they didn't leave a single nail behind. We live about an hour south of Dallas in Corsicana. I was surprised they would come this far but they worked with our insurance company and made the process easy and seemless.

Wortham Brothers Roofing traveled to Weatherford Tx to replaced our roof. They did a fantastic job, and were very mindful of the plants in our flowerbeds. They cleaned up and put everything back in its place. Their quote was reasonable, and proved to be the best roofer I have ever had since owning homes over the years.

We had a leak caused by severe thunderstorms and were able to come out within 2 days, find the problem and patch it for us and schedule a full repair within the week. They did not show up nor call for the first appt that they scheduled. The next scheduled day, they showed up 2 hours late and did not complete the job before leaving. I had called multiple times prior to the second appt to ensure completion date and was guaranteed completion. They now say they can't be here and finished before the next contractor comes to install solar panels.

Curt Johnson came out to take a look at our roof in Collin County today, and was tremendously impressive. A salesman from another company had told us we needed a new roof, did a survey and was hustling us to put in a claim. We went looking for a second opinion, and Curt came highly recommended. He did his survey, and was totally honest about the state of our roof - he advised us to wait until there was another serious storm, as he was skeptical that the insurance company would approve a claim at this time, and felt that the roof is in solid shape. He has a background as a general contractor, and in the course of his survey gave generous, clear and detailed advice about the other issues facing our home, and the order in which we should do the jobs, to no profit of his own. It's such a joy to find an upright, hardworking and honest contractor. When the time does come for a new roof, Curt and Wortham Brothers will be our first call.

Received THEIR roof inspection report detailing 5 leaks in my roof. NOTHING was covered under warranty. No problem. So I paid for the full repair of 5 leaks in advance. Before workers left I requested to see photos of the 5 repairs. They only repaired 4/5 leaks they identified —the 4th was caulking needed. So the worker and I called the back office. Stacey said it wasn’t in the report (it was) and caulking wasn’t on the material or repair invoice. Ridiculous, it’s a 5 min repair with $1 material cost. For anyone using this company make sure nails and caulk are included on your invoice. Poor customer service.

Great company. Ben and his team are extremely responsive. After inspecting my roof in the morning, they had a crew out to provide needed minor patching during the afternoon of that same day.

Ben Wortham did a great job working with me using a public adjuster to get my full roof replaced when the insurance company first stated the damages wouldn’t meet the deductible. I’ve never been through a claims process and he was willing to explain in full detail so I knew what was coming. His team finished the new roof in half a day and it looks great! Last week I needed a roof repair for a hole in my attic space. Upon calling multiple companies to get quotes and timelines, I finally got in touch with Ben. Curt came out on Memorial Day to look at our damage from a hail storm on May 19th. He was the first roofer to come out and on a holiday no less. We had friends over with young kids swimming in the pool and when one of the girls went in without her floaties Curt saw she was struggling and before any parents could react he jumped in with his shoes and everything and pulled her out! As far as the roof, he helped us pick out shingles that were better quality than what we had before and his price was very reasonable. The day of the job, the workers showed up early and were very good about communicating and even made sure our dogs were inside before opening the gates to the backyard. There were 2 total crews working on our house and they worked from 6:30 am until 7:45 pm. They cleaned everything up and even took off all of our outdoor furniture cushions and made sure they were clean. Definitely an honest, hard working company and we will use them again if we need to!

Wortham Bros helped us with a vent hood installation that is designed vent out of the roof. This was part of our current kitchen remodel project. Previously the vent hood was exhausting into the attic. Now with the work done, the new vent hood will be able to safely exhaust out of the house. They did a great job and I hear Ben and his team have done great work throughout all of Dallas!

Curt was awesome! He was honest, professional and did a fantastic job. He single handedly coordinated all the repairs needed (roof, gutters, fence and screens) and we only had to deal with 1 person.

Worthom installed our roof and gutters when we purchase the home new. 2 years later we discover that over the course of the 2 years there was a leak in our closet due to the gutter not being installed correctly. I contacted the company, they fixed the gutter (Nov 2020) and said they would have someone fix the damage inside due to the incorrect installation to the gutter. They sent a contractor out to get a quote on the damage, but then ghosted us all together. I have called Jake Worthom numerous times over the last 3 months and he has not returned or responded to any of my calls. There are too many great roofing companies in our area, do not choose this one.

Wortham Bros repaired my hail damaged roof. They did excellent work and on schedule. Curt Johnson was excellent to work with and made sure our material selections were correct. I would recommend them to anyone who needs repair/remodel work done.

Finding reputable contractors is always stressful, but Mr. Russ Rogers of Wortham Brothers Roofing made this a relaxing and pleasant experience. Mr. Rogers explained every step, was present when the insurance adjusters came, ensured they included all damages in their assessment, and remained involved in the process through completion. That is just just the customer service! The quality of work is also outstanding! The roofers took care to preserve my landscaping, placed tarps around the house, and cleaned very well. I'm not overstating... of course I found a few nails but that's to be expected. I am so glad I took a chance and called Wortham Brothers when I heard their ad on a local radio station! Mr. Rogers, thank you for your kind, caring, and pleasant demeanor!

What a disappointment. They replaced my shingle roof, my copper roof and my gutters. the first time it rained after the work was complete I had a leak from the ceiling in my study in the area of the copper roof. I notified them of the leak and they sent someone out to take a look. The roofer who came said it was a leak coming from the brick and they would send a brick guy out. well........The brick guy did come out to look it over and his words were " there is nothing wrong". I reached back out to Wortham Brothers about the conversation with the brick guy. The response was they would get the metal roof guy and the brick guy out at the same time to look at the issue together. That was three weeks ago and still nothing. Per the contract they were also supposed to repair the sheet rock damage inside and clean the stone around my fireplace from the original leak. I sent an email on May 27 to inquire about the interior work and the response i received was "okay do you have an update on the additional monies from the carrier?" Let me tell you about this fiasco (keep in mind I have already paid my $3600 deductible). The original contract signed was for $32,000 but they did find the copper roof was underestimated and a few other things that were not right which the insurance compensated them for. When it was all said and done the invoice was for $49,900 and the insurance company is asking for documentation they have not turned over. Long story short is their issue is with the insurance company and not me. I paid my portion and they need to complete the work. I will also be notifying the Good Contractor List to let them know about my experience with Wortham Brothers Roofing.

We had to replace our roof due to the June storms in 2019. Kevin and his dad were instrumental in helping us deal with our insurance agent and facilitating the insurance claim. After that was settled, they had the roof up and complete in 2-days. We also experienced additional damage from the storm to our fence, gutters, ect. Wortham Bros., were able to prove that up to the insurance company and get that work thrown in as well. They're construction company did the work and provided a turn-key finish. We would recommend them.

Wortham Bros. installed our roof when the house was build three years ago. We recently discovered that some of the shingles had come loose. I called Wortham Bros. regarding the warranty, and Jake came out immediately to take a look. Upon inspecting the roof he found that many of the shingles were defective. That day he had a crew out patching the areas with loose shingles, and he began the warranty process with the shingle manufacturer. That process took some time, but Jake stayed in touch keeping me up to date. Once the shingle company approved the warranty claim his crew was out within days to replace the roof. The job was done quickly, and the crew took care to make sure the pool and the area around it were protected from the debris of replacing a roof. They were also thorough in cleaning up afterwards. Jake and his crew did a great job, were professional and responsive and made the whole process easy on me. Thank you.

Finding a good roofing company is dicey at best, so my husband and I were so pleased to find Wortham Bros Inc. While they are a large company based in McKinney and serving areas of Texas well beyond the DFW metroplex, their customer service is exemplary as you would expect of a family-owned business, which they are. When we originally called them last summer about a roof leak in my office, they scheduled an appointment for the following day. What a surprise when both Kevin Wortham, Sr. and Kevin Wortham, Jr. showed up for such a small job! We contracted with them to repair it and it was done quickly and well. The workmen were professional and courteous. So when we had to have our roof replaced in November due to the October tornado, we called Wortham again and had the same great service. Highly recommend.

Wortham Brothers takes such good care of their customers. We had our roof replaced on Monday & they were done in 1 day. However, they went above & beyond and came back the next morning to clean any small debris out of our bushes and run the big magnet around in the yard & driveway to make sure there were no stray nails. I have known the the Worthams almost my whole life. They are hands down some of the best people i know. The owners Dave and Steve are the type of owners who stand behind everything they do. They are like that grandfather figure who doesn't take any slack, always speaks the truth whether you wanna hear it or not, but loves you up and is there for you in the end.
