I’ve worked in the roofing space for many years, and am a fellow roofing company owner. I can tell you I’ve worked with lots of people over the years and there are only a a handful who hit my bar for professionalism, obsession over quality, and true integrity. Jestin Ross, owner of Hoss Roofing is one of those guys. We have worked together several times, and I have trusted him as a partner to help me with large, sensitive projects when I need someone I can trust to deliver quality when the going gets tough. They were very responsive and attentive to our needs. It was an area that has caused us problems multiple times. I felt like they actually paid attention to our needs and made sure the work was done correctly this time. They were more expensive than some of our other quotes and were upfront that they would be, but I chose them anyway because I felt like they were actually going to do the work correctly instead of try to cut corners and make us have to fix it again the next rain.

It was an easy processing working with Hoss Roofing. I needed a chimney repair due to some storm damage. They were quick to evaluate my home and provide an estimate. We had Hoss replace an old slider in our kitchen with a large window and new patio door. They were able to fit us in quickly, communicated well throughout the project, and everybody was so kind and respectful. They kept the rest of our kitchen sealed off so no dust would get in and my toddler loved playing peekaboo with them - they were great with her! Hoss Roofing and General Contracting Company was absolutely amazing!! They communicated well on estimates and even got the work done faster than expected. They removed and replaced a built in double oven and had to do extra wiring with some cabinetry work as well. The work was done beautifully and the workers that came were punctual and professional! I will be using them again for future projects and would highly recommend them for any contracting work. There are so many bad contractors out there now that it’s nice to have an honest, professional and experienced contractor that will do the job right and for a reasonable price.

They have replaced my roof and later a skylight that was broken by hail. They do excellent work at reasonable prices. Even the city inspector commented on the quality of their roofing work. They were always responsive and communicative. I have and will continue to recommend them.

Jestin Hoss is an excellent contractor. He has replaced our roof twice due to two different hail storms. He was recommended by a friend, and I'm so glad that we heard about him! He also stained our wooden fence and large deck after extensive damage this past May, 2023. He is so professional, and has a fantastic crew. We put our house on the market in mid-May 2023, and to prepare for the staging of the house, we stained our deck. Two days after the staining of the deck, a severe hail storm did extensive damage to our property. Jestin worked miracles to have the roof installed, re-stain deck and the fence. Everything was completed before the first showing of the house, which was less than 2 weeks after the storm! His work is superior. If we ever need a new roof again in our new house, we will definitely call Hoss Roofing!! I highly recommend Hoss Roofing!!

Then I noticed they did general contractor work. I got bids from three contractors to do some updating and extensive repairs on my pergola and garage doors. I went with Hoss.

Awesome business to deal with. I had damage to my roof and fence due to a wind/hail storm in Garland. Jestin helped with getting my claim thru my home insurance, so the only money out of pocket was my deductible. I needed to have gutters installed and the quotes I was getting were thru the roof (no pun intended). A friend recommended Hoss Roofing as they were able to complete several home projects for them. The quote on the gutters was very reasonable and I could get the project completed in less than a week. The great thing was that they had a color that exactly matched my house trim color. No painting needed. After that successful project, I asked about two small projects, cracked dryer vent on roof and sagging glass shower door hinges. Hoss Roofing came thru on both. From now on I will check first with Hoss Roofing and General Contracting for any of my home projects.

After purchasing a home in McKinney I needed some roof repairs I reached out to four different companies. Jestin quickly returned my call where the others never even called back or responded. Jestin had me send pictures, took time to discuss what was happening, discussed options and then stated when his crew was available to come by the house. They came by on the day he communicated, reviewed the work, and Jestin immediately contacted me with an extremely fair price, outlining to me what the problems were and how the crews would fix them. One repair required them to get some materials and he told me the day they would return. They immediately went to work fixed multiple issues with the roof, returned 2d later and finished the repairs on the day he stated. On top of that, he called me back a day later when it rained just to make sure everything was ok. He didn't sound concerned but wanted to make sure I was satisfied with their work since it was raining and I could inspect the attic. When he finally collected payment in person (so I could meet him), he spent over 30 minutes with me explaining to me all of the aspects of the roof and the details that matter. His knowledge of roofing is extensive and it was clear to me that he is strongly committed to producing a quality job. Quality, service, price, I will only be using Hoss for my roof going forward.

Called Hoss Roofing for a quote on a siding job I needed done on my home, Jestin was great he responded promptly and had sent Miguel out to do an estimate. There was a goof up on the painting but Jestin was great and worked with me on the price. The men that showed up to do the work were very professional and courteous. Miguel was awesome he came back and did touch ups and fixed whatever was left to be done to Jestin’s specifications. After scouring Nextdoor for neighbor reviews, and talking with multiple vendors, I chose Hoss Roofing for a few reasons:

1. They gave me all of the information I needed to make a good decision
2. They were quick to schedule a meeting and respond to my inquiry
3. They were very professional the entire time

The outcome of their work was excellent! They were able to fit in my fencing project within a week of signing the paper. They didn’t charge anything until all of the work was done and acceptable. And their project manager actually walked through the whole project, evaluated every part of the work, and even had the team replace a section (which I didn’t catch) because it didn’t look right.

They also walked with me over the project when it was done and were patient with my questions and the small nitpicky-things (exposed nail heads, small stain touch ups, etc) that I did point out.

Overall, excellent experience, value, and company!

We recently had Hoss extend our back patio - which was basically just a postage stamp - by adding about 300 square feet of concrete patio and 2 custom pergolas. We had 4 quotes, and they were the second lowest bid, but we had used Hoss before for some roofing repairs so we felt comfortable with them.

We dealt with Jestin the owner. We met a few times to discuss what we wanted, including electrical and how we wanted the finished product to look.

Unexpectedly, they finished on time and on budget! Jestin contacted us almost every morning via text to let us know what to expect that day. The workers showed up everyday when expected did the work that was supposed to be done.

Long story short, we've had two jobs done by Hoss and both met our expectations. If you are planning any kind of job, definitely give Hoss a call. You won't be disappointed.

Jestin worked with our insurance to get our outstanding claim work completed, despite us waiting to long to get the work done, lesson learned. Jestin did everything by the book and worked with us to get us everything we needed, even with things that were not covered in the claim that were additional items we wanted to get taken care of. They took care of our roof replacement and hail repairs to the house. They also painted the whole house and I would highly recommend them if you're looking for someone to do the work right. Hoss installed a beautiful extension to our 8-foot stained cedar fence. It was very professionally done, including all the details we requested. Color and finishing excellently matched to the existing fence. High quality installation and staining, along with all the details were added without issue!

After a bad experience with a highly rated contractor, I was reluctant to give another contractor a try. From the first phone call with Jestin, I was proved wrong about working with a contractor. He took his time in explaining what the issue could be and how his team would resolve the issue. He provided detailed notes I could submit to my insurance company who approved the total project cost. Installed all new seamless gutters around our house at a competitive price. Very professional, great communication. We had a tricky area and they came up with a perfect solution. We did not like the location of one downspout and they came right back and made it right at no extra charge. Would recommend them and use them again on future projects .

We built a covered patio approximately 6 years ago and had 3 or 4 leaks. I had several roofers/contractors come out and give me quotes that were too good to be true or outrageous. Hoss came out and I gave them the facts. They came back with a quote that was very reasonable. The work was done quickly and the clean up was perfect. I need to mention that there are no leaks!!!!!! We've used Hoss construction for two projects and both times have been seemless with planning and the projects came out amazing . We were hesitant to build a pergola during 2021 (with the wood prices skyrocketing) but after our initial quote Justen called back when he was able to work in our budget. The pergola came out amazing, it's definitely better then we imagined and the craftsmanship is beautiful. We've had several neighbors comment on how nice it looks and even my dad who always finds flaws in construction jobs said it was well done. We will be using them again.

We have had an occasional leak around the chimney for about 2 years. I doesn't leak with every storm but it is often enough that we have been trying to get it fixed. Over the last 2 years we have had 3 different people look at the roof and claim they had fixed the problem. None of those fixes made any difference in the leak.

I finally contacted Jestin at Hoss Roofing based on the reviews on the BBB site. They came out the next day and gave me a detailed description of exactly what was wrong, why the previous fixes didn't work, and what needed to be done along with a very reasonable price quote. Two days later they were back and did the repairs. The roof looks great and no more leaks.

Recently, we needed a major repair to our roof. I spoke to Jestin of Hoss Roofing & General Contracting, described the issue, and sent him pictures. He came out and did a very professional estimate and quoted a very fair price for the repairs. The Hoss Roofing team performed the repairs the following week. They do great work, extremely skilled, professional and focused on quality. The communication before, during and after was fantastic, “no smoke no mirrors.” Prices, were very fair. But, most importantly the finished work looks perfect, in fact the repair work is superior the the original construction. We, highly, highly, recommend them! Hands down the best to work with!!!!! From start to finish everything was expertly handled. Prior to starting the project, I was overwhelmed with the amount of work that I needed to have completed, not to mention dealing with the insurance company. Jestin and his team were there along the way to answer questions, offer suggestions, and keep me informed. The previous company had cut corners, but Hoss Roofing was able to correct the errors other companies made and put everything back to right. After all the work they did, my home looks like an entirely different house. I could not recommend them more highly.

This is my second time of giving a positive review for Hoss Roofing and General Contracting. I think this review solidifies and more importantly shows the commitment, attention to detail and customer satisfaction long after the sale. In May of 2018 Hoss Roofing replaced our roof from damage received from a hailstorm. They did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Recently we put our house up for sale and as part of the sale condition the home inspector reported that there was some damaged shingles along with an incorrect dryer vent. I left a voice mail with Owner Jeston Ross and Jestin immediately returned my call within in an hour, which is unheard of for a contractor to respond so quickly. Jesin advised that he would check out the roof and if it was something that was covered by their extensive warranty that there would be no charge and if not there would be a reasonable charge for anything not covered by the warranty. The very next day Jestin and his project Manager went out to the house and did a thorough inspection and gave me back a full detailed report with many pictures explaining the damaged shingles on the roof where merely blemishes and foot traffic. He also took extensive photos of the dryer vent pointing out that the house inspector inadvertently confused the microwave vent with the dryer vent. With the detailed report Hoss Roofing provided I was able to move to the next step in our house sale. I was not charged a penny for this service Hoss Roofing provided and is a true reflection of how much customer service means to Hoss Roofing and the integrity of Jestin Ross.

This is our third time using Hoss. The first two times were for roof replacements (massive hail storm only 6 months after our first replacement) and both times they did a magnificent job. Since we were so pleased with the quality of the work, we hired him again to oversee a bathroom leak repair that had almost turned into a major issue. Jestin, the owner, showed up himself to assess the damage and what would be needed to get things back to normal. When we found out that the leak was from a 10 year old toilet, we decided to upgrade all the commodes in our house. Jestin didn’t bat an eye and after looking at the damage, gave us an estimate that was well within reason. Cutting to the chase, not only did the repairs come in as estimated, but the entire job was completed on time. Like any job, there was a hitch, but Jestin came out himself to examine the problem and had his people scheduled to fix it within a day. We are still pretty new-ish homeowners. We had our house built in McKinney so there is much we are still learning/figuring out. We had assumed we were "OK" after recent what seemed like minor hail storms... but then.. cue the horror music... an ugly stain appeared on our lower floor master bathroom ceiling. I may be a long-time Yelper, but I don't consider myself much of a researcher when it comes to service providers... my husband took it upon himself to put in the hours to read reviews because a roof is a pretty big deal. Hoss was the one that responded first, *over the weekend*, and showed interest in giving us a quote. Others didn't have the time for us or never even returned our calls. He was so hands on, from the first minute. Little did we know this would be super important when we got deeper into the process of replacing our roof & repairing other roof-leak-related rot/damage. We have been with Allstate for two decades, and were shocked at the level to which we were jerked around by them. We went through 4 different adjusters, they changed their story, they tried to deny things they had previously approved. It was awful! But Jestin was there every step of the way. He either called the insurance company directly on our behalf to fight for us, or he was in on a conference call. He had an answer for the insurance company suits every step of the way. His crew did all the work while we were out of town on a long-planned vacation and he had thoroughly photo-documented everything. And while we needed a lot of work in addition to the roof, we never felt pressured to do anything 'extra'. It was clear to us at every step of the way that Jestin valued cultivating a long-term relationship with us, it was important to him that we had a good 'first experience' with a contractor as relatively new home owners. We certainly plan to call him to spearhead any future home improvement projects, without hesitation.
