Scott and Bert and crew were fabulous. Attentive, responsive, kind, told me what they were going to do and did exactly that. Amazing work ethics and end product. I chose them over other companies largely because of their customer service oriented culture. Scott should offer training classes for customer service :). I could not be more pleased. Replacing a roof is a daunting venture and this company removed the stress and instilled so much confidence throughout the entire process.

I interviewed five companies to find Scott White with Winchester Roofing. It was certainly worth the effort. I started my research on a YouTube company video called HomesteadroofingColorado.com. They do several videos on what to look for in hiring a roofing company as well as informative videos about the process of roofing and choosing materials. A big shout out to Homestead Roofing of Colorado.
After my interview process I decided to go with Winchester Roofing for several reasons. Mr. White is a licensed Class A Residential Building Contractor, in the state, of Virginia, with decades of experience . His company is certified with CertainTeed products (my product of choice.) Mr. White backs his work, and the work of his crew. His roofing estimates and contracts are very detailed covering product materials, installation method, and warranties. He also provides his license number, on his contracts. One thing I would like to mention about the estimate provided by Mr. White is true measurements. Mr. White’s roofing
crew came to my house and walked the roof for accurate measurements before providing me with an estimate. If you have a roofer come to your house with an estimate in hand based on info from an internet company you’re not really getting a true estimate.
Mr. White took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure that I was comfortable with the options that I chose for my roof. He was in constant contact with me regarding the whole scope of work. I genuinely got the feeling Mr. White truly cares about his company, his associates and the quality of work they produce. In my experience, that is a rare quality found in the field of construction.
The day of installation started at 6:30 AM sharp. Bert and his crew are very organized! Everyone had a task and together they worked like a well oiled machine! When it comes to organizing and efficiency Bert and his crew of men could give Amazon a run for their money! By the end of the day at 6:30 PM the old roof had been removed, the new roof installed and any construction debris, including a plethora of roofing nails, were completely removed from the premises. Pretty impressive!
In closing, I would like to say my experience with Winchester Roofing, and their entire team was very positive and reassuring! Winchester Roofing sets the standard for what a roofing company should be!!!

We had a fantastic experience working with Scott (owner) and Bert (roofing foreman)! Communication was very clear and responsive, pricing was great, and work was completed in a very timely manner. Scott went the extra mile to send us pictures and addresses of roofs they had completed with the shingle options we were choosing from so we could drive by and see them in person. Bert and crew really know what they are doing, and I'm confident this new roof will hold up for decades!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
