A+ handyman did a terrible job painting my ceiling. The first guys that came pointed out some cracks in the drywall, I asked if they could repair them. They should have said that they couldn’t, because they made it worse. They made a muddy mess & left before they finished. The 2nd person they sent out left drywall dust everywhere. Then they charged more to smooth out the mud mess the first guys left, finish painting, & “add texture”, even though they knew it was textured from the start. And it still looks like crap. A+? More like C-.

After being left in the lurch by another handyman, A+ Handyman came through for us. The responsiveness was top-notch and there was solid communication of options and pros and cons of each. I couldn't have imagined a better experience from start to finish.

Jim and his team quoted installing 2 new downspouts in our 2+ level home and his team was there the next day to install the downspouts after signing his proposal. Work was done quickly and in a very professional manner and I highly recommend them.

A+ Handyman in Winchester, VA is a go-to in our household. Each experience is great, on time, excellent care and communication. This time we needed three roof soffits repaired as one sprung a dripping leak. The roof is too step, a real widow-maker, and we needed a professional team to get it done safely. Somethings should not and cannot be completed by homeowners. Preventable accidents can happen in a blink of an eye or a slip of a toe… the wise thing to do was a call to A+. Project went like clockwork. Jim stayed in constant communication every step of the way. Showed up when you stated and his guys worked tirelessly and efficiently to install my big sliding glass door. Wasn't as easy as it sounds as he uncovered some rot on my subfloor and the new door was almost 2" to big.

I’ve had several projects over the past few months and A-Plus has been phenomenal. Everyone was so nice and professional. The owner was attentive to my needs and made sure I was happy with the results. Very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this company.

James did a great job replacing a few tiles of my kitchen floor that had to be removed to install a new dishwasher. He showed up when he said he would and was pleasant and efficient. Much appreciated!

Brackets holding my vanity drawer guides broke, and I had no idea where to get replacement parts. Called A+ and left a message that was promptly and very courteously returned. I provided the requested photos to assist repair part acquisition. Next day, the lady called back with an estimate and service was scheduled a couple days later. The lady kept me apprised of expected arrival time. Repairman came with the correct replacement parts, accomplished the repair quickly and even replaced the drawers which I had removed to provide access. Superb and courteous service. Highly recommend.

Price went from $500 to $1430 to $1330 to $1380...They performed a temporary repair without my authorization and then charged me for it (even though I was home all day and they could have asked me). Left a mess of insulation on the ground that I had to clean up even after bringing it to their attention.

A+ has done work for both our farm and our church. Great job for very reasonable prices. They replaced rotted window frames on our garage/2 story out building. Difficult access done very well.

Had two very large paintings that needed to be hung on high walls - called A+ Handyman and James came out to do the project for us. Arrived on time, was very professional and did a wonderful job for us. He also went out of his way to hang two other other pictures that were additional to the original request. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing work done - they have a very comprehensive list of projects they can help you with.

Jim and his crew are awesome. Have had them do two jobs now, and job estimates are accurate or even lower than estimate! Crew is professional and capable. Work done is top notch and they clean up after themselves great. On our speed-dial now!

We needed our storm door replaced and A+ installed it for us. Kim worked long hours as there were issues ( to say the least ) with how original was installed. He never gave up and finally got the door up and did a great job on a very hot day. Will definitely use A+ again. Highly recommend!

Jeremy carried out flawless drywall repairs & painting to my leak stained and damaged den ceiling and minor drywall installation in my garage. Chuck upgraded my garage & basement electrical outlets in both numbers and types. Additionally he provided excellent advice for potential future electrical upgrades. In both cases, these men carried out exceptional work. I'll also add that Jim provided great advice with regard to anticipated work. I will call them again if the need arises.

Installation of interior bathroom door including door jamb and trim. All the seems are tight around the door frame and the door will completely close with the slightest push. James was very pleasant and did a great job.

I own a 90-year-old duplex in Winchester. But I live in Reston and am not a do-it-yourself. Jim of A+ Handyman does so much to protect this investment of mine. His quarterly inspections help to identify and head-off costly repairs if left untreated. When I need various services -- painters, carpenters, electricians -- Jim has a network of employees and contacts that do good, solid work. He, and his team, always show up when they say they will. Though I am 60 miles away, I can rest easily knowing that Jim is keeping his well-trained eyes on the house.

Very unprofessional and they didn’t know what they were doing and caused more issues than fixing the actual issue. The prices they quote is beyond ridiculous . Won’t be using them ever again, and I’ll make sure to let my family and friends know as well. Manger/owner whoever he is, is beyond unprofessional and if you leave a bad and honest review he will try to make you delete it…that’s poor business.

Called early in the year to book an appointment, they were booked until August but I was desperate to get an actual appointment on the books as every other service I called either no-showed or quoted astronomical figures to patch a few drywall holes. Receptionist was nice and took my information. Got a call from the owner (I think) Jim in late July to let me know an appointment opened up and they came in and did the work I needed.

The work: repair 4 drywall holes from a previous gas line install, each about 12" in size, replace a vanity top, fix a bifold door, and install 3 ceiling fans. The work was supposed to all be done same day but the electrician was sick and came out the next day, which was fine. Both guys arrived on time and were professional and personable.
The work was done well.

I was originally quoted 1100 for the work, and the final invoice came to 1150 which is better than expected as an hour was wasted taking a trip to Home Depot as I bought the wrong size vanity top and had to rush out to get the correct size. My mistake.

My only complaint is the general handyman who did the non-electrical work was not very communicative when he took lunch and left me wondering where he was and if I was being billed for the time. Spoke with Jim and cleared it up, but better communication would have avoided the misunderstanding.

Will likely call them in the future for minor general handyman work.

Jim was VERY responsive and his team did outstanding work. Extremely friendly, professional and on time. Work started immediately the next day after the down payment and finished ahead of schedule. They painted the interior and exterior of the house, installed flooring on the main level, kitchen, entryway, and 2 bathrooms, installed a new hot water heater, powerwashed the exterior of the house, installed new front and back doors, installed a rear deck light, and repaired brick landing in front of house. He worked with me on some add-ons I requested and still managed to finish early. I would highly recommend this company.

Sent workers out that openly disagreed with business and homeowners requests, doing sloppy work, and coming late leaving early from job site. Drywall and painting very sloppy and messy painting covers , concrete, brick, and floors. Using homeowners equipment and compressors without permission. Promised to finish an installed door and never returned.

We had A+ completely remodel our primary bathroom, with new tub/shower, flooring, vanity w/fixtures, fan/light, vanity mirror and light fixture, and repaint walls and ceiling. We were totally satisfied with every aspect of their work, and with their reliability in completing the project on time.

Working with A+ Handyman was such a joy. We had a prior contractor who simply did not complete the job, we we were looking to have someone fill the gap. Upon arrival, they completed the work so quickly, we were able to add not one, but four additional tasks to the work order, which was completed rapidly, and expertly. We will certainly use A+ Handyman for additional work in the future.

This is the second time I've used A+ Handyman. The first task involved hanging a heavy cabinet on a wall which required bolting the piece to the studs. The gentleman who did the work was professional, proficient, efficient, AND did an excellent job, so I asked him to take a look at storage spaces in our home that were insufficiently insulated. I received an estimate for this job and the owner worked with me to accomplish this in a both timely and cost-efficient manner. Today , the first day after their installation, it is both frigid and very windy; however today is the FIRST day since we have lived here that there was no "Arctic Blast" blowing into our kitchen. I will definitely use this company again and recommend them highly!

The crew came out and replaced a square on my roof. Stripped the old shingles and replaced the sheet of plywood. New barrier and new shingles. Can't even tell it has been replaced, it looks and blends in with the surrounding undamaged roofing.
Came inside and repaired water damaged ceiling and painted afterwards.

A+ Handyman provided good quality work and professional customer service. They fixed a fence for me and also installed flooring. Both projects were done in a timely manner with good workmanship. Jim, the business owner, had been in touch with me a few times about the projects. We have some more projects that need to get completed and we will be using them again.

My wife and I are long-time customers of Jimbo and A+ Handyman. They have been doing odd jobs around our older home for over 7 years. We recently had a room prepped and painted with textured walls. The application of the texture was a little messy, but after seeing how this was done it is not surprising. The A+ guy cleaned up pretty well after completion. The walls and trim were then painted to perfection. The room looks great and we are very happy with the results. A+ is coming over later this week to put down new flooring and we look forward to this being a professional job as well. Five stars as usual! Thank you.

We recently moved into an older home and we knew there would be some things that needed to be updated. I'm glad we called A+ Handyman. They were able to take a look at the projects we needed done and get them fixed. When it was something outside of their specialty, they were up front about it and recommended other local businesses. I had a small project that needed attention with my siding where the facial piece needed to be replaced. Not having the necessary tools to make the repair I contacted A+ Handyman via email and within 1-2 hours I was contracted about my repairs. Scheduling was a concern due to the weather but after a couple weeks the technician arrived where I requested additional work to be performed due to high winds removing some shingles from the roof. 1-The original job was done and 2- I did not expect the shingles to look as great as it did since they are 23-years old. Great Job all around and would highly recommend.

I needed exterior lights and bathroom fixtures replaced in the warehouse that I work in. They were very responsive to my requests for quote and also showed up on time. They even had suggestions to save money by doing some interior lights with the same lift as the one needed for the exterior ones. It was a positive experience.
